Immediately Aiden stepped his feet into the hallway of the school, Four Agents in black suits stood just ahead of him, waiting there to escort him to the boardroom. They gestured politely, directing him down the hall toward the room where the board members awaited his arrival.
As his black, polished shoes clicked against the pristine marble floor, students who had been happily chattering with friends they hadn't seen in months went silent. Their voices died down as if someone had turned down the volume of the world around them.
Slowly, they parted one after another, leaving a single oath at the center of the hallway.as everywhere fell completely silent.
But before the Agents could get far, Aiden's assistant strode in front to them. The man was almost unnaturally large, with muscles that looked as if they could crush stone. He had a stern expression on his face, his eyes burning with a quiet rage as he glared at the Agents.
