CHAPTER 8

"Mr. Netero u didn't see anyone coming from there, did u?", asked Gon.

"No, I didn't.", replied the chairman.

"' You're fast for an old timer.", said Killua

"Oh, that trick? I just barely moved that's all.", said the chairman. " what do u want?", asked Killua being guarded against the chairman.

"U don't have anything to do till the last phase isn't that right?", Questioned Killua.

"Now now, no need to be so unkind I just got a little bored so I decided to look for some company by the way I've been meaning to ask u any thoughts on ur first attempt at the hunter exam?", asked the chairman.

"Yeah, it's a lot of fun there haven't been any written tests yet and I was kinda worried about that.", said Gon.

"It was fine I guess.", I said.

"I am disappointed honestly I expected this to be a lot more challenging but I assume that the next phase will be more interesting?", asked Killua.

"Oh well, we'll see.", said The chairman with a playful smile.

"let's go Gon Mia.", said Killua.

"Wait for just a moment would u like to play a little game with me to make it interesting if u three can beat me I'll make u hunters on the spot.", said the chairman.

"Really I'll play.", said gon.

"I'll play the game after knowing what it is.", I said.

Then we all went inside a room where all the walls were matted.

"Now let's go over the rules of the game all u have to do is take this ball away from me if u can do that before the airship arrives u win so u have 9 hours left and feel free to use any tactics u want I will only defend I promise.", said the chairman.

"huh, that's too easy it's barely even a game", said Gon.

"Then why not give it a try and see if u're right?", suggested the chairman.

"All we have to do is take the ball?", asked Killua

"yes", replied the chairman.

"Then I'll give it a shot.", said Killua.

"Go right ahead", said the chairman.

Then Killua started to walk around the chairman then we all saw so many killuas.

"wow, so many killuas.", said Gon.

"Yeah", I admiringly said.

Then one of the killua tried to get the ball from the chairman's hand but the chairman dodged it. It went on the same for a few minutes then suddenly Killua kicked his leg so hard that it produced a very loud sound.

"Ow ow ow.", shouted Killua in pain.

"Killua tag me tag me.", said Gon all excited.

Then it was Gon's turn. Gon stretched for a bit then sprinted straight ahead for the chairman but then he jumped so that the chairman let his guard down for a while then he hit his head on the ceiling.

"Owww ow ow.", Gon was mumbling due to pain.

"u idiot we all know how high u can jump so u don't have to go all out focus u had a chance he dropped his guard for a second.", shouted Killua.

Then Gon started walking around the chairman and trying to get the ball.

"u boys are not going anywhere hey young lady why don't u try too?", asked the chairman addressing me.

"u sure it's too easy for me.", I replied.

"Oh, so confident in yourself?", asked the chairman.

"I am.", I replied.

"Then show me the reason for your confidence.", said the chairman.

"All right", I said then the ball came towards me at a very fast speed after I used the curse technique 'blue'.

"Wha..", said both Killua and Gon astonished.

And the chairman had a shocked and confused face it was hilarious.

"See I told u it's too easy.", I told to the chairman.

"Hm, it seems so.", said bringing the neutral face back.

"Then I shall fulfill my promise and make u hunter.", said the chairman.

"I want to go through all the phases with these two so I'll pass.", I said gesturing to Killua and Gon.

"All right then let's continue our game but this time come together boys.", said the chairman.

After that, they continued the game but then suddenly the chairman bolted so fast when they almost had the ball.

"you're really amazing Mr. Netero really amazing.", said Gon

"Aw forget it I quit u beat me all right.", killua said.

"Don't quit we were really close just now and we still got lots of time.", said Gon.

"Come on you're really clueless aren't ya?", asked killua then said," it's hopeless think about it the old guy's barely using his right hand or left leg he's way too powerful for us gon we can keep at this for an entire year and till not get that ball from him."

"Figured it out, did u? and here I was thinking I was pretty slick about it.", said the chairman.

"Ha Ha Ha u sure know how to piss me off old man let's go Gon Mia.", said Killua.

"Nah, I think I'm gonna play a little longer.", said Gon.

"HAH? Are u deaf didn't u hear what I just said? Look it's pointless u'll never be able to get the ball from him.", said Killua.

"It's okay cause I don't really care we've only used up half of the time limit I'm gonna see if I can get him to use his right hand before the time runs out.", said Gon.

"I.. I see I get it good luck I'm going to bed.", said Killua.

"Gon I'm gonna go too okay good luck.", I told Gon and bowed goodbye to the chairman.

'Which direction did Killua go to?', I wondered. Then suddenly I heard a thud I went in that direction and saw Killua near two corpses with fresh blooded hands.

"hey, Killua.", I tried to speak with him but he suddenly came behind me and pointed his sharp nails to my neck.

"Hey, killua it's me Mia stop it.", I told him then he seems to have come out of his trance and said," Mia?"

"Killua are u okay?", I asked him worriedly.

"u don't feel scared?", he asked.

"no, I don't rather than u I should be scared of myself as my powers can be dangerous if they went out of control so no am not scared.", I told him.

"What powers?", he asked.

"I'll tell u later after the hunter exam okay?", I said then he nodded yes.

"Come let's go and sleep I'm feeling very sleepy.", I told him yawning.

Then we found a room with fewer people than others I immediately fell asleep resting my head on killua's shoulder.
