Kira's POV
"Are you okay, Kira?" Killua's voice pulled me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I said, coming back to myself.
"If you say so, but you looked worried a moment ago," he said, throwing me a few concerned glances.
"I told you I'm fine. Where's Neon?" I asked, looking around.
Today, we came to Heaven's Arena with Neon. The reason was that I wanted to start familiarizing her with fights.
Even though she comes from a mafia family, she's been too spoiled. I also wanted her to stay in my private apartments in Heaven's Arena.
We've already reached over 100 floors today. To be precise, I had reached the 130th floor and Killua the 110th.
The gap between us is widening. The reason is that our opponents were becoming more resistant to our attacks, but unlike Killua, I could finish them off faster with a few simple tricks.
"She went shopping with the servants," Killua explained as he climbed onto the armchair to turn on the TV.
I'd better relax too. I don't think Biscuit will be reckless and attack on sight when we meet.
At least, I really hope so.
...
We spent a few hours having fun in the apartment before Killua and I finally got bored.
"We should take a tour of the city. We haven't gone there much since we arrived," I suggested, getting up from the couch.
"You're right, and I'm curious about the taste of local specialties," Killua replied, drooling slightly at the idea of tasting new flavors.
In the end, our days became repetitive until the day I finally reached the 200th floor.
As expected, I got there before Killua and it only took me a week in total since our arrival. I didn't suffer any defeats during my journey.
Unfortunately, no sign of Biscuit. I thought she would contact me herself to set up a meeting or, at worst, attack me on a random day, but I seem to have been wrong about her.
"You finally won the bet," Killua said, pouting slightly. It seems the taste of defeat was bitter.
"Yeah, and don't forget, you owe me one," I said teasingly.
Currently, I'm heading to the registration place for the 200th floor. I don't plan on registering since I don't know "Nen" yet and I didn't want to be "initiated" brutally at the risk of ending up disabled.
I could possibly survive a fight against a Nen user right now, or even beat one if I'm skilled enough, but it's too risky.
I'm going to the registration place out of pure curiosity. I wanted to see the place where Gon and Killua had to face Hisoka.
It was a scene I really enjoyed in the manga and it's really memorable for me.
"Stop right there!" shouted a voice behind Killua and me.
"Who are you?" Killua said, frowning, looking for the owner of the voice.
I turned around with my guard up, unlike Killua. The woman behind us was able to get too close for my liking without me detecting her.
It's a very bad sign. It means she's possibly stronger than us or she's a "Nen" user, at worst both.
"You idiot, I thought you were smart to look for me while you're quickly approaching the 200th floor, but unfortunately you're still a bit naive," the voice declared before a familiar person finally appeared.
"You're... Miss Biscuit," I said respectfully to gain some brownie points with her.
"I see you at least know the appearance of the one you're looking for," she said, shaking her hair slightly before approaching me.
"At first, I didn't understand why someone was looking for me using the black market," Biscuit said, alternating her gaze between Killua and me.
"But now, I understand the overall situation and you're not ready for the 200th floor now," she said in an authoritative tone.
"What do you mean, I'm not ready yet?" I said, feigning ignorance.
"We'll discuss later, but not here," she said quickly before glancing over our shoulders.
Before Killua and I could react, Biscuit grabbed my hand and Killua's. She was able to drag us without much difficulty despite Killua's protests.
During the journey, Killua tried to get out of Biscuit's grip, but without success.
"Here, it's perfect," she said, finally letting us go.
"Well, I'll introduce myself, I'm Biscuit Kruger and I'm here to meet the one among you who was looking for me," she said, looking towards Killua and me.
Killua wanted to speak, but I beat him to it. I didn't want him to accidentally anger Biscuit and cause us possible trouble.
I remember their relationship was complicated in the original story and the current Killua is still too immature.
"I'm Kira and this is my brother Killua. I'm the one who paid the black market people to find you and contact you," I said honestly.
At the end of my words, Biscuit grabbed me roughly by the throat.
"You know it's rude to stalk a young girl, right?" she said, smiling strangely.
"Sorry, but I really wanted a competent master to learn Nen," I explained seriously. After my words, Biscuit abruptly let me go.
"I've been able to observe you and your brother," she said, glancing at Killua who was watching her in return.
"You have immense talents, I recognize that, and frankly, I'd like to be your master, but..." She paused in her explanation, closing her eyes, as if she was thinking or having an internal struggle.
"But what? Why don't you want to help my brother?" Killua declared behind me. I can see he hasn't fully grasped the situation, but he understands that I need Biscuit for something.
"It's not his talent that's the problem, but his identity, and also, you're clearly the type to kill for yes or no," she said, clearly referring to our fighting style and my Zoldyck identity.
"If that's the problem, I can solve it," I said simply, looking into Biscuit's eyes.
"How do you plan to do that?" Biscuit asked, doubtful.
"I'll just make a Nen vow to guarantee your safety after you've taught me Nen. And for my fighting style, you can teach me yours, haha," I said, laughing a bit.
In truth, I can just break my vow with The Visionary after learning Nen.
*Bonk* Sound of a hit to the head.
"You talk as if I had agreed to take you as my student. And how do you know so much about Nen, you?" she said in a frustrated tone, shaking me by the collar of my clothes.
"Stop hurting Kira!" Killua yelled, launching an attack towards Biscuit.
"You're so used to facing weak opponents that you're careless," Biscuit declared, catching Killua's hand despite its modified form.
"How?" Killua mumbled, slightly shocked.
"You're like a frog at the bottom of a well. Unlike your brother here, you have absolute faith in your strength and when you encounter an 'anomaly', you lose your composure," Biscuit said, shaking her head in disappointment.
"I'll settle for teaching this one," she said, pointing at me.
"I warn you, the fighting style of the 'Shingen-ryu kung-fu' school is very hard and my training won't be easy, that includes 'Nen'," she said in a serious tone, ignoring Killua who was trying to remove his hand from her grip.
"I want to learn from you, Miss," I simply replied in a sincere tone.
"That's perfect, but you forget about going to the 200th floor this time," she said, releasing Killua before walking away.
"What are you waiting for? An invitation?" she asked, looking at me over her shoulder.
