It had been fifteen minutes since Neville Longbottom had caused his cauldron to dissolve and spill the failed potion inside it.
Snape did a little 'foolish wand-waving' and caused the potion to vanish into thin air along with the cauldron all while glaring at Neville and his partner Seamus.
"Why did you step on your stool Mr. Loki?" Snape asked Loki a pointed question, but he did not take his eyes off Neville.
"Because you said potions are like the conversations sir."
"And?"
"Using the wrong words at the wrong time without understanding can lead to disastrous results."
"So why did you step on the stool?"
"Porcupine quills are added to the potion so that when the potion is consumed it can poke the boils and create an exit for the fluid in them so that they can be flushed away by the body."
Loki stopped a little to see if he was wrong about something and then continued speaking when he found Snape not correcting him.
"But when the porcupine quills are added while the potion is being heated, they reacted aggressively and punctured a hole through the cauldron."
There was a soft silence that captured the classroom for a second after which Snape said in a whisper that everyone heard.
"Twenty points from Gryffindor for being dunderheads, twenty points to Slytherin for paying attention to the class."
The students from Gryffindor glared at Snape almost immediately while the Slytherin students immediately smirked.
But suddenly since they couldn't take their anger out on Snape, the Gryffindor students turned to look at Neville and Seamus who shivered on the spot.
"Class dismissed.", Snape said with clear anger in his tone but everyone was more than grateful for the early leave.
"Goodbye Mione." Loki whispered into her ear and began to move away, not before leaving behind thanks, "I had fun in this class. See you."
'Damn, I miss my pocket watch now. I should've remembered to take it from my other dress.'
'I could've gone around the castle if I had enough time.'
'And how do I even go to the next class?'
'Do the other students know?'
Thankfully, since there was not long before their second class would begin everyone opted to go toward their next class.
Soon Loki found the largest group moving and began to follow them as he ended up in a class that stunk of garlic.
"What in the world?" Loki cursed and he was not the only one.
Students entered the class with their eyes watering as the garlic stung their eyes and cursed whatever was the cause for it seven generations back.
Amidst the growing dissatisfaction among the students, a thin man wearing a purple turban entered the room, the smell of garlic growing worse with it.
Loki stared at the man with an angry expression but he stayed seated.
"H-H-H-Hello I-I-I am-m-m Quirinus-s-s Quir-rrrell."
Loki's hand immediately shot into the air.
"Ye-Ye-Yes?"
"What is up with the garlic professor?"
"I-I-t is for a va-mm-pire I met-t-t-t in the Alba-a-anian fo-r-r-rest.
"..." The class fell into stunned silence, everyone thinking, 'What does an Albanian vampire have with you wearing a turban filled with garlic in Hogwarts!?'
'Isn't Hogwarts the safest place in the world? Or is that just a hoax!?'
As the class continued and Quirrell began to teach, students did their best to ignore the smell of garlic and his stuttering mess of sentences, trying to piece things together to glean at least a little bit of knowledge.
'What am I doing here?'
'I could be digesting the potion instead.'
'Yes! That's the best thing to do!'
Loki suddenly stood up in between the class and ignored the confused stares from everyone including Hermione as he moved towards the door.
"Thank you, professor, but I think I'll be alright by myself." Loki nodded and left the classroom under everyone's stunned gaze.
"Wh- wh- wha-! Student Lok- Lo- Loki!!" Quirrell shouted for Loki but Loki didn't respond and was on his merry way.
'Now where do I go?' Loki wondered before moving around to set his plan in motion.
'I have the passwords from Gryffindor and Slytherin, I have to find them for Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw?'
'Well let's visit them for now and see how they are locked. Then I can work it all out.'
Catching a fifth-year Hufflepuff moving towards the dungeons, Loki followed him and since he was a Slytherin, he didn't attract much attention towards himself when he followed the boy towards the dungeons.
Following the boy for a bit, Loki noticed him stop in front of a painting in the dungeons. And then to his shock, the boy reached out and tickled the pear in the painting and caused it to turn into a door knob.
The boy pulled open the painting like a door and walked into it.
'Is that the entrance to the Hufflepuff dorm room?'
'But isn't that way too easy?'
Loki waited a little bit to see if he should copy the trick and enter the common room but he wisely chose not to do so since he didn't know how many Hufflepuffs were inside the room.
A little while later, the boy returned with food in his hands and began walking deeper into the dungeons and Loki promptly followed.
'Was that not the Hufflepuff common room entrance?'
'And where is he going with all that food anyway? A party or something?'
Following the boy, Loki saw him arrive in front of barrels and kick them rhythmically with his boots causing the lid of the other barrels to open, allowing him inside.
'Is this the common room entrance?' Loki wondered silently. 'Although not as cool as the Slytherin entrance, it is still cool.'
'But then what was that other entrance? A secret food stash?'
Memorising the rhythmic pattern that the boy knocked the barrels with Loki began to walk toward the painting that he had previously seen.
But what he saw there confused him.
'Why is a student from Gryffindor entering the secret stash area?'
A pair of students, most likely twins given how they looked exactly the same, entered behind the painting.
Loki waited for a while and when they returned with food, Loki grew a little confused.
'Hmm..can I go too? If there's anyone inside, I'll tell them that I saw a student trying it and followed them in?'
Loki moved to the painting, stretched his arm out, he tickled the pear on the painting which giggled a little and transformed into a handle, creeping Loki out a little but still making him laugh.
'Funny.' Loki laughed and then looked holding the handle calmly opened the door and looked inside.
There was pin-drop silence for a few seconds as everyone inside the room turned to look at him with their wide droopy eyes that covered most of their faces and possibly heads.
'House-elves?'
'What are so many house elves doing here!?'
Loki panicked a little, worried that something was going to happen to him, but then the elves ran up to him and began shouting over each other, all asking the same question.
"""What does Master want us to do for him!?"""
"A pie perhaps!?" Loki heard one elf shout. "Pumpkin juice?!" Another elf shouted.
'Is this a kitchen!?' Loki wondered and then he glanced behind the crowd of elves that had gathered around him.
'Huh. Now that I think about it, this place looks remarkably similar to the great hall in setting!'
There were four tables arranged in a length-wise fashion creating a setting similar to the great hall, upon which were several dishes that looked very appetizing.
Seeing that he was getting drowned in a situation that closely resembled the beginnings of an elf stampede, Loki calmed himself and shouted, deciding to deal with them as he did with Kreacher.
"Wait! Anything sweet will do! Maybe pudding!" Loki shouted and all the elves became silent for a moment before they broke into a mad scramble to bring Loki the item he requested.
