Prologue

The sky was painted with the colors of war, and the earth shook with the weight of the magic that was being unleashed. Death arrived, dressed in a long classic black cloak, her face hidden beneath its hood. Her long white hair was visible, as she held a golden scythe in her hand.

She stands on the blood-soaked battlefield of Hogwarts, the smell of death and destruction heavy in the air. As the killing curses fly, dementors glide above, The screams of the wounded and dying echo in her ears, drowning out the sound of her footsteps. She could see other cloaked figures holding silver scythes as they reap the souls of the innocents and monsters that they'd come for.

'I am Death, the mistress of the afterlife, the one who comes for all when their time has come. And now, I have come for the one who called himself Lord Voldemort', she whispered to herself.

Slowly, she made her way to the Great Hall where the duel between the Dark Lord and the Boy Who Lived was unfolding.

She watched as Voldemort cast the Killing Curse at Harry, but the curse rebounds and strikes him instead. With a swing of her golden scythe, she took his dark soul, his twisted ambitions and evil deeds now nothing more than dust in the wind.

'What a pity', she hushed as she looked upon his lifeless form.

'You chose a path of destruction and despair when you could've been the greatest wizard of all time', she whispered to the dark whirling spiral of Voldemort's soul she held in her hand.

'Death is not something to be feared, but rather a natural part of life', she said as she walked her way out of the great hall.

'Every mortal must face it eventually, and yet so many waste their lives chasing power, wealth, and fame', she continued as she took a good look around the horrific scene.

'They forget the things that truly matter ---'

'Kindness'

'Compassion'

'Love?'

she sighed.

A puff of dark eerie smoke forming a skull appeared beside her.

"I know what you're planning, We don't do charity work", it spoke in a frustrated tone.

She chuckled softly at the sight of it, "I knew you would come to nag me, Grim".

"It's not our business", Grim persisted.

"It's up to him"

Her tone might've pissed Grim off to the point where it vanished into dust just as it came.

The Hogwarts ground dissolved into nothingness as she closed her eyes, taking a deep breath.

She slowly opened her luminous golden eyes, a mischievous glint in them as she said, "This is going to be fun."
