Chapter 7 Books and Robes

Entering the small shop, it was instantly known that the illusion of it being a small and thin shop was shattered as the shop must have been dozens of meters long and dozens of meters wide.

The shop interior was a giant circle with walls of bookcases all filled with hundreds of thousands of books while a wide path with a few clerks behind giant desks from one side to the end jutted out of the wall, looking down off the railways' many similar pathways could be seen.

Above them were diamond-shaped platforms that filled the entire ceiling, with only a tiny wide half circle on each side that they could see up.

While walking on the black mirror-like tiles they made their way to one of the clerks who, unlike the man who gave Zhāng his ring, actually looked good.

"How may I help you today?" She said in a tone that begged the question of how many times she had said that line.

"We are here for Fenghuang year one books" Liu replied after which ten different books flew from the bookcases to the clerk's desk, all at the awe of Zhāng.

"That will be ten galleons Miss," The clerk said to which Liu put the ten galleons that she was holding onto the table. After paying for the books Zhāng put them into a bag that was given.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them by Newt Scamander, The Standard Book of Spells by Miranda Goshawk, The Advanced uses of Transfiguration Year One By Li Fan, Year One Study of Magical Thought by Li Fan, The Standards of Dueling by Guan Qin, The Darkest Magic by Yao Shen, Herbology At Its Greatest by Dong Zhilan, The springs of Immortality by Yaoji Shi, and The Beginners Guide for Hexes and Vexes by Kieran Wilkinson, Year one Chinese History by Niàn zhēn, who are these people?" Zhāng questioned after reading out loud every title and all of the authors while also walking down the street.

"Those are people who have mastered their craft, they are also famous for it some of them teach at Fenghuang like Niàn zhēn, Yao Shen, while others like Guan Qin and Dong Zhilan are Imperial Guardsmen".

"Anyway now it's time to go and get your robes, so there is only one place to go Shūshì shēhuá de chángpáo".

The robes store was only across the street, the store was like the ring store, it was wide and had massive stones but wasn't very tall, in fact, there was only one visible building above three of four stories.

Walking into the store wasn't as disappointing as the ring store with literally nothing in it other than a few podiums nor was it as jarring as the book store, it was a simple clothing store with traditional and casual Asian and western clothing.

While making their way down the main isle the sheer ordinarity of the clothing almost made Zhāng forget that he was inside a magical store, the lighting was unique with just a hanging stone that made light but other than that there were white mannequins in different poses that wore all of the different clothing just like any other store.

At the back of the store was a small section where only a few people were there including the clerks, as a stark contrast to the bustling streets, the packed ring store, and the book store that had many people on many different platforms.

All but one of the 3 clerks were busy attending to other people so Liu and Zhāng obviously didn't go to them.

"Hello, what may we do for you today".

"Firstly six Fenghuang robes, three of them Tang style of which one of them will be ceremonial the other three will be Hanfu style of which one will be Ceremonial" Liu replied before a stone circle with a jade gemstone in the middle hanging on a string appeared in her hand which she promptly showed the woman.

"May I know your name, Miss".

"Liu Huangdi".

"Miss Huangdi, as nobility all of your orders can be enchanted for free is this ok".

"Of course, Cooling and heating charms, along with a strength, self-cleaning, and self-repair inscriptions will due".

"As you wish will that be all your Excellency?".

"No, we will also be ordering one ceremonial Japanese Haori and Hakama Kimono two informal, one Ceremonial Russian Hussar jackets one informal, three Sherwani With a Scarf, two Ceremonial Thobe, two Sirwall, two Ghutra, and two Igal, one set of dueling robes black, and one Imperial Ceremonial Dress, finally four muggle suits and two muggle tuxedos, all enchanted of course".

"Ok, for the Japanese Haori and Hakama Kimonos what would be the color?".

"One of them will be completely black with a white sash, the pants a gray and white gradient with white being at the top and gray at the bottom, for the second set the Haori would be a black one with golden embroidery of a Dragon, the Hakama kimono will be a dark gray with no gradient for the last set the Haori will be a light blue to dark blue gradient up and down, while the Hakama Kimono will be black" Liu replied all the while a quill was writing down what she was saying.

"And for the Obi will it be cord? Ribbon? Or Dangling?".

"For the First set Cord, for the Second and third Ribbon, the ribbon being black with a golden embroidery".

"Ok, and for the Russian attire, will the Jackets be long?".

"Yes, both of them will be long".

"Color?".

"One of them a base red color with a golden wave and leaf patterns, the belt completely red except this in black on the ends" Liu answered while handing a stone with a Dragon eating its tail around an eagle spreading its wings wide inscribed into it, as soon as the stone was visible the quill started to draw a perfect replica of the picture.

"And for the other set a black base with the same golden patterns, while the belt is completely black with the same picture golden".

"And for the pants, will they be black, beige, or red?".

"Black, for both sets".

"Loose-fitting or tight-fitting?".

"One loose one Tight".

"And for the Sherwani, what would the Specifications for that be?".

"two long one knee-length, all of them with a tight-fitting and straight collar, the first one will be completely white, one completely black and one black with golden patterns as for the scarf a roman red with a white embroidery along the edges".

"And the pants?".

"Same color".

"What about the Thobes?".

"One White and One black with golden embroidery again, both ankle-length, both tight-fitting colors the same with the Sirwall, Ghutra, while both of the Igal plain black".

"And are the suits formal or Social?".

"Two For Both".

"Day or night?".

"Two for day and two for night".

"And what styles?".

"Two American, one British, and one Italian".

"How many buttons?".

"The Italian will have two, the British will be double-breasted with six, lastly the American ones will both have Two".

"And the trousers?".

"All tapered".

"Lining?".

"All of them fully lined with silk".

"What about the color".

"An American and the Italian will be black while the other American will be gray and the British one will be blue, two shirts black, two shirts white".

"Any ties?".

"Yes, Two black ones, Two Green Floral, Two purple floral, Two golden floral, a red and blue".

"And are the Tuxedo formal or Social?".

"One for both".

"Day or night?".

"I need one for day and one for night".

"And what styles?".

"One Regular and one double-breasted".

"How many buttons?".

"The double-breasted will have four while the regular will have two".

"And the trousers?".

"tapered".

"Lining?".

"fully lined, silk".

"What about the color?".

"Both black, with 2 black shirts and 2 White ones".

"Any bowties?".

"Yes, Two black ones will do".

"Any accessories?".

"Hmm, 4 pairs of cufflinks, and that's it".

"Any Outerwear?".

"Yes a double-breasted trench coat, black 4 buttons".

"Any Shoes?"

"Yes, I forgot about that, two pairs of oxford shoes, one black one brown, one pair of geta, one pair of Russian boots, one pair of mojari, one pair of Madan Sharqi, and 2 pairs of Tai Chi slippers".

"And will that be it?"
