"You're the one in the middle--"
"What did you say?" Tina stopped in confusion.
Seeing that something was happening, Newt quickly explained, "This description comes from the rune snake with three heads. The middle head has a vision. Everyone wants Credence to die, except you. You are more enlightened..."
"Credence?!" Tina noticed the name and looked at Newt. "You came here for Credence too? Ha - you said I was some kind of f**king middleman, but you turned out to be two of those idiots' heads?"
"So?" Newt looked at her blankly.
Tina held her forehead, feeling embarrassed. Who knows why she lost her mind when she saw this silly little freckle?
Taking a deep breath, Tina calmed down and looked at Newt. "Well, Mr. Scamander, it seems that neither of us are smart. I hope no one will know your strange metaphor."
"Uh--maybe it's just me." Newt's voice was weak.
"It's not important. I think we need to chat and exchange information." Tina sighed.
"Why are you looking for Credence?"
"His name is Aurelius..."
"I know, so why are you looking for him? I don't remember you being an Auror. What do these things have to do with you?" Tina pulled Newt to the corner of the alley.
Newt looked at her for a long time. Newt always felt that Tina would not be like those people. He said, "Aurelius is the nephew of my teacher, Mr. Albus Dumbledore. He hopes to invite me to come and protect Aurelius for a while because he is in danger during this time."
Tina nodded, finding his reason very reasonable.
Tina was already surprised when she found out Aurelius' full name. Although Dumbledore is not as famous as he was later, he is still highly respected. 'The Great Dumbledore' is enough to show that Dumbledore is famous far and wide. Of course, much of his fame is due to his old lover Grindelwald. The more fear Grindelwald brings to the Ministry of Magic around the world, the greater Dumbledore's reputation. The higher Dumbledore's reputation, the higher the reputation of the Dumbledore family.
After learning Aurelius's real name, Tina naturally thought of the Dumbledore family. There are about three million wizards in the world, and while many have the same name or surname, there are some that are unique. The surname Dumbledore is one of them. There is no doubt that anyone with the surname Dumbledore must be a member of the Dumbledore family. Tina just didn't know that they were uncle and nephew, but it was natural for Dumbledore to want to protect him when the family was in trouble. After all, there aren't many people in the Dumbledore family, and many wizards think that Dumbledore is the only remaining bloodline.
"So, you're here to take Aurelius back?" Tina breathed a sigh of relief.
"Well, I want to say yes because this is also the best solution I can think of. Aurelius will be safe with Dumbledore, but what Dumbledore said was confusing. He just asked me to protect him," Newt shook his head and asked, "What about you, Tina? What do you want to do with him?"
"Similar to you, President Picquery asked me to find him and bring him back to the MACUSA for protection. He is a wizard from the United States. Damn it! Wouldn't it be better if this was the case? Why was he wanted at that time?" Tina scratched her hair irritably.
She has always been very disgusted with the MACUSA's behavior of not admitting their mistakes but instead blaming all the blame on Aurelius. Tina's political sensitivity is very low. She doesn't understand the thoughts of these officials, but as a wizard who has always regarded the Twelve Aurors as idols and pursued the Auror career as a lifelong pursuit, Tina knows right from wrong.
"Excuse me, I don't think the Magical Congress is telling you the truth," Newt interrupted. He has always been disgusted with institutions such as the Ministry of Magic and the Magical Congress, especially after the hearings. Trust in magical officials at the Ministry of Magic has dropped to freezing point.
"What do you want me to do?" Tina looked at him.
Newt lowered his head in embarrassment. "Um...I don't know. No matter what, we have to find him first."
A dazzling green light lit up outside the room on the third floor of the hotel. Tina's pupils shrank for a moment. She pushed Newt out of the way and ran towards the hotel.
"Hey! Tina!" Newt didn't know why. The green light just flashed away, and he just didn't see it.
He chased Tina to the guest room on the third floor of the hotel. The door was closed, with a "Do Not Disturb" sign hanging on it. Tina hammered the door several times, but there was no movement inside.
"What's wrong with you, Tina?" Newt caught up and asked.
"This is Aurelius's room-" Tina's face was terrifyingly gloomy.
"What?"
"I just saw it - the Death Curse." Tina kept waving her wand, hoping to use the unlocking spell to open the door, but it seemed to be of little use. The door was closed and motionless.
"Let me do it. Alohomora!" Newt tried to open the door.
But obviously, it's all useless.
"An anti-locking spell has been cast here. Most hotels do this, but the one here is the most difficult to open," Newt said.
The unlocking spell and the anti-locking spell restrain each other, and the effectiveness depends on the magical power of the two casters. If the person trying to unlock the door is stronger than the caster of the anti-locking spell, the anti-locking spell will not stop it, and vice versa. With Newt's strength, most hotel doors couldn't stop him, but he failed to do so here.
"I'll go find the hotel staff..."
"Split into pieces!"
Newt looked blankly at Tina's wand, remaining silent.
"Where is the time?" Tina opened the broken door fragments and entered, being vigilant.
The room had little courtesy but appeared lived in.
There was an unfinished teacup on the coffee table, with the cold tea half-empty.
"Did you see it wrong?" Newt couldn't help but ask after seeing the neat room.
It didn't appear that there had been an attack here.
Tina didn't speak; she slowly walked towards the bedroom.
She was 100% certain that the green light had come from the bedroom just now.
I swear by her professionalism as an Auror!
Gently pushing open the slightly open door, Tina saw it.
A short man had fallen to the ground, hitting his head, but his legs were still on the window sill.
"Be careful!"
