“Okay. Well, I don’t understand. But it’s okay. Maybe I can see someone else…?” Joonatan asked and Mikael readily agreed.

It was obvious to Sean all Joonatan wanted to do was to see it properly. To make it real in his mind, despite how unrealistic it all seemed.

They took Joonatan’s car to the farm. All the while as he drove, Joonatan kept asking more pointed questions. Who on the farm could shift? What into? Who knew about them? What would happen if word got out? Did they need help with anything?

That was when Sean understood Joonatan could be trusted. He’d always known Finns were trustworthy people once you befriended them, but he’d been skeptical because of the fact that they often were traditional people who didn’t believe in anything supernatural.

“Sean, go check on Jude. I’ll take Joonatan to the house to talk,” Mikael said when they got out of the car at the Jarvela farm.
