The show must go on

The staff meeting continued for the better part of an hour, during which they had sent someone to retrieve all the students and villains back from the USJ. They'd reached a conclusion, but withheld from putting it into practice before consulting with the 1-A students and homeroom teacher.

Midnight was asleep in the infirmary, well on the path to recovery at that moment, and the rest of the staff considered it wise to have the students go through a psychological examination, just in case they'd obtained some undue trauma.

The staff of UA wanted to use the attack on USJ to bolster its own popularity and that of class 1-A through a live broadcast, considering that no student was wounded and Midnight's injuries would heal in a short time. UA also wanted to discredit the so-called League of Villains, which was a dumb name if any staff member was asked.

Because really, it was hard to twist the fact that the invading force of over a hundred villains was soundly beaten by 20 kids and 2 pro heroes. They were hoping that there wouldn't be any other attack and also that there would be less villains joining them, even if All Might had a bad feeling in his stoma- his guts about them.

As such, UA had asked the students of class 1-A to go seek the guidance councilor, Hound Dog, and his assistants for 1 hour of psychological screening each until the end of the next day. Hound Dog would've ran himself ragged had he been the only one to take stock of 1-A's mental state, but luckily UA had had that concern before, and hired a few assistants for the Pro Hero before the beginning of the year.

Thankfully, none of the students seemed to have any recent traumatic experiences, yet the Pro Hero had noted that a few students such as Todoroki Shoto or Bakugou Katsuki had already deeply-rooted affections that couldn't be treated easily. Todoroki's troubles were simpler to explain because they were all centered around one man, his father.

Hound Dog shook his head as he thought of the Nr. 2 Pro Hero.

'That fucking asshole.'

The scarred teen would've been extremely closed off if it wasn't for his budding friendship with Gojo Yousuke, otherwise even if his dad problems were to be fixed in the future, he would've remained self-isolated and detached, which might've led to a behavior similar to his father.

Bakugou Katsuki was an entirely different bundle of issues altogether. He was an odd combination of superiority and inferiority complexes, sprinkled with an obsession with Midoriya Izuku. It remained to be seen whether he displayed any stalkerish type of behavior or if his sexual orientation laid in that direction, but Hound Dog considered him to be at a bigger risk of snapping than Todoroki, even if only because of his temperament.

With his examinations complete, Hound Dog reported back to the principal that he could talk to the press for the broadcast. Shortly after, class 1-A itself was informed of this, much to their shock and slight trepidation to appear on national television. UA had reassured them that their faces, names and quirks would be shown during the sports festival in 2 weeks' time anyways, if they chose to participate.

It was like that that class 1-A appeared on live television, with Midnight, Principal Nezu and Thirteen before them, standing in front of a table with microphones on it. Further ahead of them was a gaggle of reporters, waiting to ask their own question about whatever it was that was about to be discussed.

If it was any other school that did this, they'd be no doubt ridiculed or at the very least made fun of. But they were UA, after all. And they didn't do this kind of thing willy-nilly.

"Greetings to everyone gathered here today. We appreciate the response despite the short notice." begun Nezu. "The reason we're here today is to celebrate class 1-A's success against the group of villains who invaded during a heroics class."

'Wow, the principal does not fuck around.' remarked Yousuke.

The rodent-like being continued nonplussed, even when the reporters expressed their shock phonetically.

"The invading force was 154 villains strong and called itself the League of Villains. Class 1-A has defeated and captured 152 of them, with only the two highest-ranking villains escaping. The number of injuries sustained by the students was 0. The number of injuries sustained by the teachers was 2. There were no casualties, except for one villain who had liquefied his own brain to protect the group's information post-capture. All other villains are currently in police custody and awaiting judgement.

The League of Villains was led by two men, one known as Kurogiri, a B-rank villain, and his subordinate, Tomura, a D-rank villain, who apparently lack combat power themselves, instead using other villains for their criminal deeds. The two..."

|INTERMISSION|

Tomura was watching the live broadcast, and he was feeling practically livid.

"I'm gonna fucking murder that rat!" he articulated.

He would've destroyed the TV showing the broadcast, but his master wanted him to watch it in its entirety. Still, the villain was getting increasingly twitchy. Surely, his master would understand his rage, wouldn't he?

"Please calm down, Tomura. Your ranking will increase the more we act." said Kurogiri, the source of the blue-haired man's plight.

"Easy for you to say, Kurogiri! They called me your subordinate!" Tomura snapped at the man. "Fucking freak."
