How the Stars bring us Together

A story originally set within a castle of the Medieval Era, though it's like paradise on Earth(and in slight ruins), the Zodiacs find themselves caught up in trouble when Ophiuchus starts to stir it. They seem to part ways, although the God of Stars seems to think otherwise. The lot are soon sent to recreate their relationships in modern times, whether this plan seems to play or not is another matter... Having already been reincarnated into the thirteen respective Zodiac signs, you can imagine how confusing yet another time period would be. To most of them, at least. A cautionary reminder that this book shall contain some graphic, mature scenes. Viewer discretion is advised. There is also alot of profound language, such as swearing.

Chapter 17.

•Ophiuchus' POV•

•In the past, when Ophiuchus was about ten-years-old•

"Mum! I want another pet snake!" I shouted as I saw another snake within the grass field.

"Olivia! You already have so man-" My mother called, although I was already chasing after the snake. It was fast, for sure.

"Damn it! Come here!" I shouted at it, which only led it to slither faster away.

I fell straight in a ditch, and infront of an average sized burrow. I let my curiosity take over as I leaned my head in. A badger appeared infront of me with a growl and a slice to my face, (which is what led to having a scar across my face).

I shrieked and immediately jumped up, tears streamed down my face as I ran back towards my mother.

"Oh, gosh! What happened?!" She cried, as I reached her.

"..B-Badger..!" I sobbed harder, as I felt blood drizzle down my face.

"Let's go home and deal with it, then.." She took my hand and pulled me along with her.

Once we reached our home, an average-sized mansion, we went straight to the kitchen for some bandages in the cupboard.

"...Isn't this a bit much?" I mumbled, as bandaged were now covering my entire face, leaving two tiny holes for my eyes.

"There we are!" My mother exclaimed, as she finished.

"Thank you, mother." I said, although it was muffled.

A few hours later and father had arrived back home. Mother and I were cooking food, as he sat down at the head of the dining table.

"What happened to Olivia's face?" He demanded as he noticed the bandages. I began placing the food down as mother remained silent. "Answer me, woman!" He shouted as his hands slammed down on the table. My mother flinched.

"S-She.. She just.. Had an i-incident.." She stammered, quietly.

"How are we supposed to wed her off now?!" He screamed, and my mother was shaking slightly. I hesitantly stepped inbetween.

"W.. What if I d-didn't want to be w-wedded off..?"

"What are you on about? You don't get to choose, I do!" He shrieked as he pushed himself up and slapped my already ruined face.

It hurt like hell, yet I kept my mouth shut. I heard my mother gasp behind me.

"We'll now have to see if any man would want such an ugly bitch for a wife." He hissed, as he stomped out of the kitchen.

My mother put her arm around me as I sobbed into the bandages.

•The present•

"So, that's what happened.." Leo mumbled, before he turned to me and took my hands. I felt the urge to pull them away, although my hands stayed put. "I'm sorry it's been so hard on you.."

I was contemplating on whether telling him was a good idea or not.. I didn't want pity, I wanted understanding.

"Leo, your life was just as hard." I finally said after a little while of hesitation. He didn't say anything for a little while.

"Continue with the rest." He looked at me, nodding slightly.

•The past•

•About six years later•

"What's happened to her?" My husband asked as he looked to me in the bed. I had caught an illness..

"She caught the flu.. I'm sorry." The doctor said, as she walked out of the house. My husband walked beside me and sat, slowly taking my hand into his own.

"Don't leave me, Olivia.." He mumbled, as tears pricked his eyes.

"I'm sorry.." I whispered, almost silently, as my eyes slowly closed.

•The present•

"So, everyone died a tragic death.." Leo said as I finished.

"Have they? What happened to Taurus?" I questioned, not having heard his past.

"He, erm.. He was actually kidnapped and tortured to death by his best friend." Leo said quietly.

"Seriously? Tell me about it." I sat straight, rather intrigued.

"Ask him yourself.. It isn't something I should be sharing on his behalf. If he wants you to know, he'll share it, if not.. He won't." He said, staring me straight in the eyes. I nodded slowly, got up and slithered over to Taurus and Virgo, who were infront of a lake.

"Hey, Bull." I called from behind him before he turned to glare at me. "Tell me about your past life." I demanded, bluntly. From what I know, Taurus hadn't told anyone - not even Virgo. Must've been traumatic..

"No." He said quickly, as he turned back. I sighed.

"Stop being stubborn, I want to know." I grumbled.

"And I don't want to tell you.." He growled at me, which sent shivers down my spine. I nodded swiftly and turned away, only to slither back to where Leo was sat.
