How I Became The Alpha Mafia Boss' Target

Excerpt: His lips left her neck only long enough to say, “If the invisible scars he left don't disappear now, I'll keep trying again and again until they do. Soon your body will know only me.” Her eyes were still swollen from her previous tears, but they began to water again for a far different reason than before. She tried to pull away and hide her face from him. “Promise me,” she uttered. “Promise me I'll never be in the same room as him ever again.” His fist clenched and he had to control his anger. A Long Time Coming

Carly died on a Thursday.

Luca refused to go into the office on Friday and they spent their weekend trying to attend to Rachel as much as possible.

Sophia was the first to try and get her to eat, but being around an unmated omega sent Rachel to the bathroom on her hands and knees. Her body felt like it was under attack as an omega who wasn't hers came close.

They thought that Luca might be able to go in but she felt threatened by him.

Considering the amount of time Ethan had been on suppressants, he was the only option through the weekend until they could hire an allied beta or someone on suppressants to help them. It would be hard to explain the situation to a regular nurse so they were being cautious as they sought help.

For the most part, all Rachel did was sleep but Ethan came forward with his concern that she could hardly eat and her skin seemed to be greying.
