Chapter 8 Guilty

Woozi entered the tent and saw that Mingyu has woke up and was sitting in daze, probably in deep thought. He signed and went over to his side.

"You are finally awake. Everyone was concerned about your condition".

" You really scared us brat". Woozi said with a bit of worry leaking through his words. But he also wanted to knock his head and scold him because Wonwoo told everything truthfully to them.

When he feel unconscious and was detected to have a high fever, it became a chaotic mess with everyone fretting here and there asking many things suggesting many things.

They were so worried that Seungkwan even suggested to immediately take Mingyu to the hospital, forgetting that they went to camp pretty far this time and it would take hours of drive to drive back to the city, also if not for Woozi stepping forward and checking Mingyu professionally they wouldn't have realised that Woozi was a medical student and had brought his medical kit along for emergency. Truly everyone was panicking so much that they were acting dumb but that couldn't be blamed on them because it was rare for Mingyu to fall sick but when he falls sick, his illness is always on extreme.

The last time he feel sick it was a life and death situation for him, this made everyone have a shadow in their heart about his sickness. But this time it wasn't so serious and the fever went down after some rest and medicines.

"Woozi hyung... Water please" Mingyu said as he felt his throat as dry as sand in desert. He also felt a dull pain in his throat. Woozi passed him a water bottle and felt his temperature while touching his forehead. It was back to normal so Woozi let out a relieved sigh.

"I'm not going to scold you for what you both did in the morning but be ready to get your share of scolding from everyone afterwards. Wonwoo has already had his share its your turn now" Woozi said stating the fact.

"Wonwoo hyung got scolded? Why did he even tell you all about it?" Mingyu mumbled the last part but Woozi still heard him and pinched his ear and twisted it saying " You are itching for a good beating I guess". "Dare say that again! "

"Ah! Hyung- I'm wrong! Please let me go! I'm still a patient!!" Mingyu cried in pain.

"I know better than anyone that you are already fine, don't try to deceive me" Woozi said but still released his ear.

Mingyu rubbed his red ear and asked " Then where is Wonwoo hyung? "

"Oh, he was here a moment ago, actually he took care of you this whole time. Maybe he is feeling guilty" .

At that time when Mingyu was unconscious, everyone was visibly worried but Wonwoo was the only one who did everything calmly and there were not many expressions on his face but Woozi was able to know how frightened Wonwoo was feeling when Wonwoo took Mingyu in his arms and his hand was trembling a bit when he was feeding him medicines. Only then Woozi looked at him closely and felt Wonwoo was unusually stiff and his eyes never leaved Mingyu.

He also volunteered to take care of Mingyu the whole time and also took all the blame for morning's mischief. He still must be feeling quite low.

Mingyu felt warm in his heart when he got to know that Wonwoo had taken care of him this whole time. He felt like seeing him at the moment.

He got up and made his way out with Woozi shouting behind him to take some more rest for a while. Mingyu looked everywhere, everyone was busy but when they noticed him coming out, they flocked around him, asking if he was alright, checking his temperature and scolding him, it wasn't until Scoups out of consideration of the patient told them to calm down that they begrudgingly became quite.

Mingyu felt fortunate to have so many people worring and caring for him, he obediently answered the questions everyone asked. Though he still felt some pain in his throat, he was feeling okay and wasn't feverish anymore. When everyone confirmed that he was really okay they left to do their own work.

Everyone was busy packing things and sorting out everything as they were all leaving in few hours. It was because of Mingyu falling sick, even if he looked fine right now no one can tell if the fever will be back again afterwards. Also some of them had some work to take care of after going home so their trip was cut short.

Mingyu still wasn't able to catch a sight of Wonwoo. He wandered around searching for him and found him sitting a bit far under a tree in the forest on a seat size big stone. Mingyu went to him and sat next to him.

"Hyung, Woozi hyung told me you took care of me, you must have been worried about me".

" Hmmm."

Mingyu felt happy inside his heart thinking Wonwoo was admitting about his care for him.

"Hyung thank you" Mingyu said sweetly.

"Hmmm."

Mingyu would be a fool if he hadn't realized till now that Wonwoo was only humming in response and wasn't really in a mood to talk with him. He became worried because of Wonwoo's cold treatment towards him.

"Hyung, why aren't you saying anything? Did I do something wrong?"

"Hmmm" Wonwoo hummed again and now Mingyu was even more worried. Seems like Wonwoo was really angry with him but why?

" Are you angry? With me? Is it because I followed you to dip in the cold water? "

After some silence Wonwoo finally said, " Mingyu can you keep quiet and please leave me alone? "

Mingyu felt struck by lightning as he froze in the place. This time it seems like Wonwoo was really angry. His heart kept sinking but looking at Wonwoo he wasn't able to utter even a word.

" I just want to sit here peacefully for a while. This has got nothing to do with you" Said Wonwoo after seeing Mingyu stiffen because of his words.

Mingyu felt helpless and couldn't do anything other than getting up and leaving Wonwoo alone.

'Let's try to talk to him after returning back to our apartment' Mingyu thought while feeling empty inside.
