Love and hate

"I have a bone to pick with you Emilio." I said folding my arms in all seriousness, but there he was all cool and collected slowly sipping his drink.

"Is that so? May I ask why is that?"

"You know damn well why Emilio. Are we going to pretend that this week didn't happen? That Monday didn't happen?" I asked and for a brief second I saw him visibly got angry, and his jaw ticked, but then he just took another sip and began to act all cool again.

"What about Monday Marianna? Is it about how you strolled in to work with your neck covered in hickeys?" he asked, and my mouth open and closed for I was in shock and taken aback for that was not what I was thinking about at all, "what? You didn't think I would have seen them?"

"Wha-No that's not. Sir. I'm talking about what you did to Miguel. You know by beating the crap out of him?"

"A Miguel you say? Hmm. No sorry. Doesn't ring any bells." he said, and I groaned out in frustration.
