Chapter 5

Armed with this knowledge, I decided to confront Tolani's spirit, hoping to find a way to bring peace to both her and the hostel. I spent hours in the abandoned corridors, calling out to her, begging her to spare us.

And then, one fateful night, Tolani appeared before me, her eyes blazing with a fierce intensity. I stood my ground, pouring out my heart, apologizing for the wrongs done to her. Slowly, her expression softened, and her presence began to fade.

For a moment, there was silence, and then, a faint whisper echoed through the corridor: "Thank you."

The haunting stopped that night. The hostel was finally at peace. Tolani's spirit had found closure, and we, the students, had found a new appreciation for the value of kindness and compassion.
