HoodWinked

What use was it having a knowledge that was useless to you? That was what Myra thought when she found out the truth about the world she lived in. Werewolves, Lycans and Paranormal creatures existed and she was one of them... Yet not one of them. She was born without a wolf side. So more or less she was human except for the slight difference. Little abilities that showed she was not a part of the human race, still... A werewolf without a pack and without a Wolf side? surely Fate has had her Hoodwinked. And that is not the end... Being Chased by bullies she seeks solitude in an abandoned mansion. Abandoned is what it's called but it surely wasn't unoccupied. Therein lies a stranger. Bounded in chains and kept in darkness, he makes a plea and in compassion she frees him from his chain but in return is bound in chains. Hoodwinked by fate she becomes his mate. What fate awaits her here on? More misfortune? How much worse could everything go? *** "A visitor? How delightful" A clear voice rang in from the darkness. Myra shivered and turned. The house was too dark that she couldn't see who has spoken. "who's there? What do you want?" "I should be one asking. You are trespassing" "I didn't mean to. i_i'm just seeking solitude. I'm sorry I'll leave" "Not so fast darling. You are here already, so you can as well help me" She raises a brow "Help you?" Only silence answered. What was she thinking? Talking with the darkness. Perhaps being chased by a few bullies sounded better than this, she should leave. She takes a step backwards but halts again. So much for being weakhearted. "First step into the light" She requested wanting to see who she was talking to. In a world were beasts exist, it wouldn't be so surprising if it ended up being a troll. Sounds of metal rattling echoed in the empty room then followed was the sound of footsteps. It wasn't a troll. it_it's a man. A very Handsome Man!

Revolution

MANY DECADES LATER.

RING!!!

The alarm beside her bed did her the pleasure of waking her up, she opened my eyes and the beautiful light of the morning sun grazed her eyes, albeit she cringes to the bright light still a warm smile finds itself up her lips.

"Myra!" she heard her Uncle scream her name from downstairs

great he was drunk again, she could tell from his slurry voice and how he called her full name, her name is Myra. She never really knew the meaning but everybody just shortens it to My. Like the sound of her name, she was an epitome of beauty, cute round eyes with a dazzling blue color, small red lips couple with an asian snow white skin, also a peculiar blonde hair that flowed down her shoulders. Truly something to behold.

Myra stretched then got out of bed, still stretching she makes her way to her bathroom. Concerning her Uncle's distress call she was in no hurry to go see him, since she already knows what would have made him call her. She has other things to prepare for, like the morning lecture that she was having in about an hour also how could she forget that today was the day she would go for her long awaited audition.

Modelling_ her dream job, she can't remember when it started but she has been in love with modelling for as long as her childhood began. Walking the runaway, being the face of a magazine is all she wished for but before now it seemed impossible, she didn't have the amount of connection she needed for that to happen. But thing were going to change for her today.

After a few minutes of rumbling through her closet, she settled for a pale blue jean, floral red top along with a white sneaker. She was done dressing for school, so she could now go check on her Uncle.

"Uncle you called?" she asked like she didn't know what he was going to say.

"I need money, give me money" the middle aged man said while finding it hard to keep his eyes open, he was slouched on the kitchen table with a bottle of Vodka in his hands. When wasn't he ever in this position?

She had lost count. Perhaps there would be no count to the amount of times he was in this situation. Muddleheaded with his beloved bottles sprawled on the floor and wrapped closed to his chest.

"Uncle I have no money, The House rent is due by the weekend and I still have to save up for that" Her voice sounded displeased.

Five years ago, her aunty had been amongst the unlucky once that couldn't survive the Revolution and so she was left in the care of her uncle. Losing his beloved wife had gotten him devastated and he had taken in to the habit of drinking, leaving her to fend for her self and for the whole house, she had to pay the bills and then pays her school fees also put food on their table.

Her life was practically like that of a robot, from school to work and then more work and even more work and then back home, and she had played this routine everyday for the last five years. She was tired of it. It might have started five years ago but the sufferings and frustration sure felt like it started way before that.

Actually it did. Her life turned upside down from that very day. It was like every other day, at least at first that was what it was untill the bad news came. Her mother had met an accident with a truck transporting silver rods. One of the rods pierced through her stomach and she was barely conscious when she was rushed to the hospital.

With her last breaths she called to talk to Myra "Myra listen to what I have to tell you. There's more to this world than you know."

Indeed there was more to the world than she thought. Monster, fairies and folktale beasts were all real. Who would have known? and her mother was just one of them and so was she, but her's came with a comma.

"You're not like us Myra." That was one of her mother's many last words. As years passed she also got to see the same things her mother had said. Indeed she was not like them. She was not like anyone, neither human nor werewolf. A being without an existence. Apart from being alive no one even knew she existed, and it would stay that way else she would lose like her life.

Myra sighed to push the unhappy thoughts away. Today was too important to jinx it was the thought of unluckiness. She stabilized her emotions and looked at the man before her. "I don't have spare cash for drinks"

The man's slurry voice sounded out again "Nonsense! I need to buy my Vodka, it's almost finished. Where's all that money you got from your stupid job! Don't think I don't know you keep money in this house, quick go get them out now!" He ordered almost falling off the kitchen stool as he pointed at her.

"Uncle I need to pay the bills! look at your neice I work so many jobs on a daily basis yet I can't afford a nice cloth for myself! I need to pay my school fees! and guess what I don't even like what I'm studying! I would love to go to a modelling school but I can't afford it!" she yelled back with teary eyes. Every mantra she had recited to stay calm not gone to pure waste.

She had been wanting to attend Modelling school but that was an overrated dream for her cause it was just to expensive and she couldn't possibly afford it, even with her numerous part time jobs. At the end she had settled for Veterinary cause the fees were lesser and her grandfather wanted her to be useful for the Pack by working with the Pack doctors.

"Give me money" the man staggered towards her and gripped unto her hand, tugging her continuously. His strength pressing down on her wrist like a mountain.

She looked at him, Resentment filled her eyes but as much as she resented him, she couldn't bring herself to hate him, somehow she understood what he was going through. Her uncle and his wife were so much in love, they were eachothers half, soulmates in literal terms, so it was devastating for her uncle when his beloved died before his eyes, but how could he have left her to fend for herself, he was carried away in his own grief that he couldn't even see her suffering. She too was devastated but if she broke down in grief who was going to take care of the family.

"I have no money" she brushed off his hand and turned to walk away but he suddenly grabbed her collar and yanked her backwards. Half slamming her unto the kitchen wall.

"You will not walk out on me!" He growled deeply. His eyes turning into deep black and his chiseled jaw becoming even more refined.
