It was night, prince nate took his medicine, so he was struggling to stay awake because he hoped loren will visit him.

He sat outside across the table which he had set two cups and a bottle of liquor. One cup was filled with water which was his and the other was empty which was for loren.

He kept staring at the entrance of his palace.

Ivan leaned in to his ear",the night is extremely cold,you're shivering,it's not good for your health,do you want to die?".

Prince nate still stared at his palace entrance as a tear rolled down his cheek," am not leaving here until I see loren.

He felt pain in his heart and groaned as he clutched his chest

"Your highness!",ivan worriedly called.

Prince nate raised his hand to stop ivan,"am fine".

Ivan couldn't help but feel worried,"your highness,please let's go inside,am not affected by the cold but it's really dangerous for you.

you're normally cold from the cold worm poison,getting cold externally makes it worst.

your lips will turn blue you will spew a lot of blood,you will faint immediately and become unconscious for a long time,then you will look like a corpse,after some time,you will be frozen and your organs will burst out of your body".

" Ivan!",prince nate cried," I already know all that,no need to remind me how I'll die,but am not going to change my mind and you can't do anything".

Ivan went on his knees and bowed continuously," your highness,please take care of yourself",ivan pleaded continuously as he bowed.

" Loren!",prince nate eyes litted up and he stood up.

Prince nate ran to Loren and hugged him,"I thought you won't see me before you go",he cried.

Loren put his arms around him and whispered to his ear," why will I not see you?,I wanted you to be the last person I'll drink with before I go".

Nate smiled underneath his mask and dragged him to the table," come,have a sit and let me pour you a drink".

Loren sat down and stared at him as nate poured him a drink and he sat in his own chair.

Loren smiled," I see yours is water and how do you plan to drink with your mask on?"

" I can't take liquor because of what I drink,I've never tasted liquor,the smallest drop of liquor can kill me and as for how I'll drink, I'll just raise my mask up a little and drink",he said cheerfully, loren's presence brought him joy.

"Cheers then",loren raised his cup with a smile on his face.

"Cheers!",nate said enthusiastically and they drank together.

Prince nate gave loren something wrapped in a piece of clothing.

Loren collected it and opened it,"a silver chain bracelet".

Nate smiled underneath,"yes it is,I saw it on our way to the waterfall in a shop so when we got back,I told ivan to get it for me,describing it and the place I saw it".

"I like it",loren answered as he wore it.

"Loren,I heard frome someone that the last person a warrior drinks to before he leaves for a longtime or goes to war ,is his lover,am I right?.

"Then...",prince nate blushed underneath his mask.

"You're my lover or you don't want to be?",loren asked.

"I want to be!",nate was embarrassed for saying it loud,so he took the water in his cup,"I want to be",he said calmly while facing another direction.

Prince nate continued,"since I am yours and you are mine,can you stay with me this night",he said flatly.

"You are mine and I am yours,but you forget that you are a prince",loren said.

"Then,it's a command,I command you,loren sorock to stay with me this night".

He stood up,and carried prince nate on his arms from where he sat to his bed chamber and laid next to him.

They both laid flatly on the bed,facing up.

Loren looked at him,"why is your body very cold and your residence,very hot,it always slipped my my mind but it didn't slip today".

"About that,I'll give you the answer another time,but now I really want to sleep",nate said with a sleepy voice.

The next morning, nate woke up without loren on his bed and he panicked," ivan! Ivan! ",He called repeatedly until ivan came.

Ivan stormed inside his bed chamber," your highness",he bowed.

" Where's loren? ",Nate asked worriedly as he stood up from his bed in his night garment.

" He's with the others, preparing to go, your highness".

" What!? and why didn't you wake me up! ",Nate cried.

" You were sleeping soundly, your highness, I thoug__".

" It's my carriage outside? ",Prince nate asked.

" Yes, your highness".

" Then, let's go meet him",prince nate walked out and ivan followed him behind.

" Your highness, please put on outing clothes and your shoes! ",Ivan pleaded.

" If am not able to meet loren before he goes, then you can spend the rest of your lives in jail! ",Prince nate yelled.

The coachman rode the carriage fast to where loren was.

Prince nate hair was unkempt with no shoes on.

Loren was already with his friends and other warriors going to the north on their horses and the commander in his carriage.

Ivan ran and stopped loren. Nate opened the carriage for loren and loren closed it as he entered.

Prince nate was already whimpering when loren saw him.

Prince nate immediately held loren's hands tightly,"loren,I don't want you to go,I have thought about it,I will talk to his majesty to withdraw you from this,I just need your permission,just tell me you want to withdraw,loren please",prince nate pleaded.

" Loren please, please just just tell me you want to withdraw, please, please",prince nate cried profusely and begged him continuously.

Loren stared at him and tears began to flow down his cheeks,seeing nate like this really broke his heart but he didn't want to withdraw.

Loren placed his hands on nate shoulders,"Nate",he called softly but prince nate whimper increased.

Loren removed his mask but nate bowed his head and kept on crying.

"Nate,please,look at me and listen to what I like to say",loren pleaded but nate shook his head.

"Am going",loren said as he was about to leave the carriage but nate held his arm.

Prince nate raised his head slowly and loren stared at him.

It was the first time loren saw his face since the time he disappeared behind the palace gates.

In lorens eyes,nate eyes sparkled,the tears that rolled down was like diamonds,his face was flawless and lorens heart sunk.

"Oh nate",loren muttered as cleaned nate tears slowly with his thumb as he continued to cry.

Loren's heart raced,he didn't know if it's because nate was crying but he hasn't seen anyone like nate,he had a unique face,even the princesses beauty couldn't hold a candle to nate's.

Loren caressed nate's cheek and nate looked down again.

"Look at me",loren said.

Prince nate didn't,but kept in crying.

Loren cupped prince nate's face and stared at him as he cried.

Loren leaned in and rested his forehead on nate's as he closed his eyes,"Nate,please stop crying,seeing you like this,breaks my heart,I will come back".

"It's..it's....not that...it's..__".

Loren tilted his head and pressed his lips on nate's and pulled away after a few seconds and looked at nate,he stopped crying.

Loren removed one of his dagger and gave it to nate,"it's like a part of me,I'll always be with you,no matter the weather,no matter the season,okay".

It's the first weapon I used in war,when I was twelve,so keep it safe,am with the second one,when I come back,you will give it to me".

Prince nate nodded slowly.

"And also, don't wear your mask again",Loren said

"No",prince nate retorted,"I will wear it but if you come back safely,I won't wear it again".

"I'll come back surely for you,nate",loren reassured.

"But..loren,what if you come back and you found out that am dead",Nate said.

Loren covered prince nate mouth,"don't say things like that".He pulled nate closer to him and hugged him,"you will have a long life".

"How do you know",nate said softly in tears.

"Because I know",loren kissed his forehead gently.

Ivan knocked at the window and loren opened it,"you are called for,you have to go now".

Loren held nate hands for the last time,"I love you,nate",he hugged him.

"I love you too,loren", nate cried.

He came out of the carriage.In their hearts ,it was worst than when they separated eight years ago.

"I desperately want to live",nate said in his mind.

Loren climbed his horse,"I'll come back to you,nate",loren said in his mind.
