Chapter 16: You look pretty, babe.

"What's with the sudden decision, Erica?" His voice is husky, maybe he was sleeping when I called him.

"Don't you want it?" I sarcastically ask, but the truth is I'm afraid that he'll decline.

"What? Of course I want to!" I rolled my eyes when I heard his voice, it's energetic and happy. Before he could tell another word I ended the call.

"Mom? I'm not hearing things, right?!" Yelena asked with her beautiful eyes widened with surprise. While Mirk who's besides her is smiling.

I nodded which made her scream in happiness.

They run towards me and hug my legs I laughed and bent down to hug them too.
