~18~ The search for her
Ethan's POV
I've gotta find her. I have to. I ran as fast as I could towards the human world. When I reach there, my mind tells me that I have to go to the address that the old lady gave to me yesterday. I ask someone for it and when I arrive there, My jaw nearly dropped. It was indeed a huge mansion. My heart beats faster as my wolf howls in excitement to finally find Lizzy again. I knocked on the door and a young man opened the door. "Can I help you sir?" He said "Yes, I'm looking for a really beautiful brunette girl who maybe live here?" I said "Ahh yes, Mr. William and Ms. Gray is at Mrs. Winnie's bakery" He smiled "Can you maybe give me the address?" I said as he nodded before writing it on a piece of paper and gave it to me.
I ran for the second time today to Mrs. Winnie's bakery. When I reach there, I flung the doors open and rushed inside. Everyone didn't seem to care about my presence but my mind only focus on finding Lizzy. I walked here and there just to find her and accidentally bumped into a waitress. I quickly helped her with the breads as she said "Oops, sorry" and my body froze. This voice, is...familiar....could it be? I looked up to her face as she picked up all the breads. We both stand up and she bowed at me "Once again, I'm sorry for bumping into you sir" then she walked away. I reach up to her but a crowd of people blocked my way. I cursed under my breath and rushed after her again but, she was gone. Weird. So I went to the cashier and found that old lady again "Young man! You're back again" She cheered as I laughed "Yeah, have you seen Liz anywhere ma'am?" I asked "Yes, she just went out before with that boy" She said
I thanked the lady and rushed outside to spot non other than my Lizzy, laughing and talking with some random man. My blood boiled inside me and walked after them. After a long walk, they finally came to a stop at the mansion I visited before. They went inside as I waited there for a minute to think. After I knocked on that door, what will she say? Will she be happy or sad? Who's that man? A thousand scenarios ran through my head as I finally took a deep breath and brace myself to knock on the door. "I'll get it!" Her voice sounded from the other side of the door and I smiled. I swear my breath caught in my throat as the door swing open revealing my beautiful girl. Her looks are still the same, but her hair grows a little bit longer than before. She wears a black shirt and jeans. She has a little flour at her hair and her clothes. Well, she's a mess. I chuckled internally.
Her head is still looking at the back talking to someone but when she saw me standing there, she froze. "E-Ethan, W-what a nice surprise!" She said as I smiled "Hey Lizzy" I took her hand and kissed her palm before she pulled away. "How have you been?" I asked "I-I'm fine, How about you?" She said "I'm good" I replied "How's Ruby and Andrew? How's your new wife" She mumbled the last part and looked away. My blood boiled with anger when she said that so I put my hand gently on her shoulder and said "She's not my wife anymore, Lizzy. She told me everything and now I know the truth. I never loved her Lizzy, you know that. But-" I stopped myself when I heard a man's voice shouting from inside "Who's on the door, Izzy?" I froze "Just an old friend of mine" Liz shouted back. Old friend? What? "Lizzy, who's-" She looked at me and cut me off "Maybe it's best if you go, Ethan" then she looked away. I reach out for her "Liz, wait-" She went inside and closed the door on my face.
I stood there, wide eyes, speechless. Thunder sounded on the sky as rain started pouring down. What did she say? Who's that man inside her house? The rain poured harder on me as I am still lost in my own thoughts. Anger started flowing over me and I think of only two person who ruined my life. Dad and Lacey. Those bastards are the ones who ruined it. My life would've been great without them. I stomp my way back to my world with anger as I slam open dad's office door soaking wet. I glared at him and jumped on him shouting "You bastard! You ruin my life! You should pay!" Dad struggled under me as Lacey tried to pull me off. I pushed her away making her land harshly on the ground.
Elisabeth's POV
I slide down the door after I slam it on Ethan. I felt bad for him tho, but why was he even here? Doesn't he have a wife that was all over him? Just then the memory of what he said came flooding in "She's not my wife anymore, Lizzy. She told me everything and now I know the truth. I never loved her Lizzy, you know that" What does he mean by 'Know the truth'? Is all of this just a game to him? Does he even love me? But he didn't even say 'I Love you' to me. It's best if I forget him...right? But I can't why? I was so lost in my thoughts I didn't realise that Will is infront of me waving his hands. "Helloooo, Izzy?" I flinched as He smirked "There you are. What happen? Who's that on the door earlier?" He asked.
I looked down "You remember that boy that I told you yesterday?" He frowned "You mean, Ethan?" I nodded "Where is he now? Why didn't you go after him?" He started asking questions. "I'm not ready to...see him again...he played with my feelings, Will, he never said I love you to me and..." Tears started rolling down my face as I started to sob "His family hates me Will! His dad never want's me!" I cried louder as he pulled me in a tight hug "Why don't you take a rest and we'll talk again tomorrow okay?" He looked at me in the eyes before I slowly nodded "Thanks Will"
Ethan's POV
I keep on hurting dad and Lacey as much as I can but Ruby, my brother, and my mom came in the room and pulled me away. "Ethan! Stop this!" My mom shouted at me. I didn't listen to her and continued hurting dad more and more "You ruined me! You son of a bitch! You ruined me!" I shouted at him. I was about to punch him one more time when suddenly my brother pulled me away from him. "Ethan stop it! This isn't you!" Ruby shouted "HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO BE WHO I AM BEFORE WHEN I LOST THE ONE THAT I LOVE THE MOST!" I shouted at her as she flinched. Andrew threw me and started punching me instead. "Take back what you said!" He shouted and punched me. I groan in pain as my eyes darkened at him "You wouldn't do that if I were you" I said coldly. He looked confused before I grab his shirt and threw him across the room.
"Andrew!" Ruby and my mom shouted together. Mom helped Andrew up and I looked at dad, still groaning in pain, and Lacey who is now unconscious. I glared at everyone before I walk outside in full anger. I was in the middle of the hallway when I heard Ruby's voice shouting from behind. I stopped in my tracks not even looking at her "Ethan! This isn't you! Where are the nice and friendly Ethan I used to know? Where is the Ethan that loved my best friend to death? Where is the Ethan that is always happy when Liz-" I cut her off "That Ethan you know died when he got rejected by his mate and he ain't coming back" I said in a whisper but I know that she can hear me. I started to walk again leaving her alone in the hallway.
When I reached my room, I flung the door open and slam it shut behind me. I didn't bother to turn on the lights and just started smashing things and flung them across the room, breaking it. I can't help it anymore so I sat on the edge of my bed with my hand on my head. Angry tears started flowing down my cheeks as I started shaking. I cried quietly through the night and falls asleep crying to myself.
