Thousands of celebrities graced the red carpet that evening.Beautiful women from all walks of life and handsome men from all prestigious positions.The Jubilee of White Gold's existence attracted many(if not all) celebrities.But it was an invite only party and only the rich and famous attended.That was definitely a sad tale for anyone wishing to be a Cinderella.The only similarity of the fairytale ball and this occasion was that there actually was a Prince.A handsome six foot tall stallion with jet black hair and a body to drool for.He always had a serious look on his face but that didnt taint his perfect figure.If you listen to the whispers,you will be told he did surgery but if you listen to me you will know he was as beautiful as he is now since God shaped him.Wait..that's should be impossible..surely God couldn't have created such a cold blooded animal..a brutal,cruel beast who was about to ascend his father's Mafia throne.You could see the resemblance in the two:An unstoppable thirst for power and control and a dangerous greed for blood money.Zane Larcade Ardientté and Arnold Ardientté weren't exactly the perfect loving father and son duo.They were the perfect power father and son duo.And for this a lot of people hated them,some because they were successful and some because they have been wronged by them before.Either way Adira Fortlyn hated them for both reasons.

Adira Fortlyn,another beauty of the night.The pearl of the Fortlyns,an A list actress and a successful businesswoman.She sat at the far edge of the reception hall with her Personal Assistant and her armed bodyguards.She didnt ussually encourage guns but she was in enemy territory and trust didn't exist amongst the Ardienttés and she was on gaurd.She tucked her cinammon brown.hair behind her ear,showing a glimpse of her million dollar diamond earrings.Her soft brown eyes did a quick room scan and she caught him talking to some men on a table at least 10 feet from her.She sighed hopelessly...when will he arrive to her table?Serves her right for choosing to sit on the table that was farthest from him.Kiari,her assistant whispered something about the offer.She had just gor information that the musuem collaboration offer had been given to everyone else in the room.She shrugged...she knew the Ardienttés would do that.Throwing a juicy offer in the mist of power hungry business men and wait for the person with the highest money offer to sign the deal.She wasnt going to offer much.She didnt want the deal...but at the moment she was representing Fortlyn Enterprises and THEY wanted the deal.She bet it was the partnership he was discussing across the room.She could just feel it..The nerve of that guy.She watched the other women watch him in lust.Rich and handsome---he was the women's wet dream.But she hated him..she hated him so much that her chest hurts from it.A year ago...He sued her for stealing his concoction of Sex in Heaven Wine.Hers was named Black Grove Wine and it was an old family recipe she had put to use.He took her to court for stealing his mixture and surprisingly when the lab tests came out they proved him right.She didnt know how but it did,she could swear on dear life that there was bribery somewhere.And she prove it..someday but till then,she shut her eyes tight letting her long lashes flutter on her cheek.She opened her eyes again and saw the devil's only begotten son walking towards her with majestic and confident strides.His midnight blue eyes keeping a firm gaze on her.She braced herself.

He stopped at a recognisable distance from the table and placed his hands in his pockets.He let his eyes travel around her body.She felt uncomfortable already...itbwas as if he could undress her with his eyes.He was such a pervert that she always felt stark naked around him and he knew this.Either way his voice in his next sentences was cold and calm.

"We regert to inform you that the contract given to you for review is now invalid."

Adira squeezed her eyes at him but didnt speak.At least not out loud.

"We apologise for any inconvenience.Have a pleasant night"He said again and turned to leave.

Adira and Kairi stared at each other.

Silence reigned.

Kairi opened her mouth to say something but stopped.

"We should leave"Adira said as she stood up.

"Very soon..I wont have to put up with this anymore."

She stared at one of the guns that her gaurd held.

"Very soon".she added amd did a graceful catwalk outside.
