" Yes, Akaash. But put me down now. " I said, and he did it as I said happily.

I smiled at him as today I am happy too.

" Dr. Teja, congratulations!!!! I am so happy that you didn't disappoint me. " Dr. Nicholas said and kissed me on my cheeks.

It's their culture to greet each other. I kissed him back and said, " Yes, Dr. Nicholas, thank you for believing in me. "

He smiled, and then my colleagues came and hugged me and congratulate me.

Suddenly, I saw on my front, and my face turned pale.

Tanish is holding a bouquet of roses and looking at me with rage.

His rage has only meant that he saw everything.

He controlled himself and came towards me with a sweet fake smile.

" Congratulation, love. I am so happy for you. " Tanish said and handed me the bouquet.

" Oh, so sweet. You are so lucky, Dr. Teja. Mr. Kashyap has been waiting for you for the last two hours. He was so worried about you. " One of my nurses said, and I blushed.

Tanish nodded and left after looking at me for few minutes.

When we saw the food, we started eating like hungry people who didn't eat for many days.

He stood up from his seat and came towards me.

I flinched and started to trembling badly.

" Tanish, please list- " I tried to make him understand, but he stopped by put his finger on my lips.

Suddenly, Tanish whipped on my back, and a scream came out of my mouth.

He whipped me again and again until he got tired.

My whole body is numb because of so much pain.

He left my face and neck, but my whole body was many blue and back whip marks.

Blood is oozing out from my injuries.

Tanish released my hands and legs and picked me through my hair on his fist.

" Do you think it's over? No, dearling. We have a long night. " Tanish said and threw me on the bed.

A scream came out of my mouth when my body touched the bed mattress.

After that, I don't know how many times he forced himself on me.

How many times did I lose consciousness?

How many times did I gain consciousness because of pain?

But this night broke my body and soul.

Next-day:-

Teja POV:-

I woke up with a terrible pain in my whole body.

I turned and saw Tanish had left already, and it was 11 am already.

I sat on the bed with great difficulty.

I saw my phone, which was ringing continuously.

I took the phone in my hands quickly and saw this call was from the hospital.

I picked up the call and asked, " Hello, what happened? "

" Dr. Teja, Mr. Mayor wants to meet you. He awakes for the last two hours. Can you please come? " A female nurse asked.

" Yes, I will come in the next hour. " I replied and hung up the call.

I sighed in pain and stood up on my feet only to fell to the ground.

I screamed in pain.

This pain is just too much.

Tears were flowing from my eyes, but with determination, I stood up again while taking support of the bedside.

I walked towards the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror.

I was looking like a broken doll.

APATHETIC DOLL!!!

A WEAK LADY!!!

I didn't have the energy to laugh at myself, so I took a shower.

Those water droplets are like a sword for my body, which is cutting my flesh.

I am controlling myself from screaming.

So, I just washed my body from the water. I didn't use soap on my body.

I went towards the wardrobe and wore a cotton sky blue suit.

I did makeup. So no one could find my puffy eyes.

I drank a glass of orange juice.

I took my wallet, phone, and battery charger with me and left the penthouse.

I took my car and went directly to the hospital.

I didn't greet anyone today as I am not feeling good.

I went towards the room where Mr. Mayor was staying.

Those bodyguards didn't stop me, and I entered his room.

I saw Dr. Nicholas talking with him happily.

A smile formed on my lips, and I greeted, " Good Afternoon, Mr. Mayor. I apologize to make you waiting for me. "

" Oh, so you are, Dr. Teja. Hello, Dr. Teja. Please call me Sam. I felt old whenever I heard Mr. Mayor. " Sam said, and I chuckled.

Sam gestured for Dr. Nicholas to leave us alone, and he left.

" Sure, Mr. Mayor. I mean Sam, sir. " I said, and he laughed at my antics.

" You are a smart lady. I am glad to meet you. Thank you for saving my life. Please have a seat. " Sam said with a genuine smile.

" I am fine, sir. How are you feeling now? " I asked.

" Oh, dear. Dr. Nicholas checked me already, and I am well now. Please, have a seat. I am feeling awkward. " He said, and I sat on the chair slowly as my whole body was in pain.

" Teja, I am grateful to you. If you didn't decide to do my surgery, I wasn't here alive. So whenever you need me, you can call me anytime. I will always be there to help you. Please, take this card. It has my private number. " Sam said, and I smiled while tears were forming in my eyes.

" Thank you. Please take care of yourself, sir. " I said, and he patted my forehead.

" Dear, I may not be your biological father. But since I laid my eyes on you, you have become my daughter. So, take care of yourself. " He said, and I nodded.

" Take care. I am leaving now. " I said, and he nodded with a sad smile.

I left the room with a heavy heart.

I was going towards my cabin when I saw Akaash with a suitcase.

" Are you going somewhere, Akaash? " I asked.

" Yes, Teja. I am going for a training session. I will come back after three months. So, take care of yourself. " Akaash said.

" You too, Akaash. " I replied, and with a nod, he left.

I went towards my cabin and did some light work. I didn't take any surgery and left early as my whole body was screaming pain.

I left and came to the penthouse.

I went towards my room, and what I saw shattered my soul.

The ground slipped underneath me.

Tanish is making out with Srishti on the bed.
