ARIANNE POV
As I made my way through the dimly lit corridors of the castle, the cold stone walls felt like they were closing in on me. I had made up my mind to leave before anyone else woke up, before the hustle and bustle of the day began. I needed some time alone to clear my head and figure out what to do next.
I couldn't stay here, I didn't even get much sleep last night because everything was all so confusing. The fact that I belonged to Azar when I was a goddess. But honestly though, I definitely made bad choices when I was still Arthiana, no wonder I decided to come back as a mortal in my next life.
I mean seriously out of everyone I could have fallen in love with, I had to fall for the homicidal killing spree maniac who has problems not taking no for an answer? But then I mean maybe he wasn't like that back then. Could that also mean I was the one who had sentenced him to this life?
