[Celestine's POV]

I have officially ruined the only chance I had to live a better life with my daughter. Why can't I go against him? What is so special in him?

"Amelia" I called out of the kitchen window which overlooked the back garden. The back garden unlike the front one was not maintained. It was not a place I wanted Amelia and Jax to play. I would have refused their request to let them play in that garden if not for their cute faces pleading with me. Great! I can't even say no when required.

"Yes, mum!!" I heard her voice which was panting from all that running around. She entered the kitchen through the back door. Her face was all red.

"Where is Jax?" I asked her, looking out of the window.

Amelia's smile suddenly dropped. She pouted and looked down at the floor with teary eyes.

"I will never talk with him again," she said with childish anger.

I smiled at her. So, there has been a fight. "You should not say anything that you don't mean Amy" I said patting her shoulders.

She still looked at the floor.

"What did he do?" I asked.

"He almost killed nig with a stone," Amelia said.

"Nig?" Who is this person? How is it that I don't know of my own daughter's acquaintance?

"Nig is my new friend." Amelia said brightening up.

"Why did you never tell me about your new friend?" I asked a bit worried.

"Do you want to meet her? She is out in the garden." Amelia said with enthusiasm.

"What is your friend doing out at this time?" 

Amelia did not answer me and dragged me outside the house. The garden had long uneven patches of grass growing here and there. I accidentally stepped on a used cigarette. This place was full of trash. No more cute faces will help Amelia to come and play here.

"Mum see, that's Nig!!" Amelia shouted excitedly while pointing at the ground.

My face got pale when I saw a snake coming towards Amelia.

"Amy" I said panicked.

Amelia rushed towards the snake and started hissing at it.

"sss-hss-ssss" I could hear Amelia say. Parseltongue. How can I forget? Tom was the heir to the Noble Salazar Slytherin. That would mean my Amelia was also the heir. Heirs of Slytherin are the ones who can speak this language.

"Amelia, get away from that snake." 

"But mum!! It's harmless."

"Amelia" I shrieked as I grabbed her hand and started running towards the kitchen with Amelia.

I closed the door as soon as I got in.

"Amelia, you will never speak to snakes again. Are we clear?" I was going to be strict with her in this matter. She might not get hurt but the WWm's will recognize her as Tom's heir. She will be taken away from me if they got news.

"Yes" Amelia said sadly.

I nodded at her. Amelia went outside the kitchen as Jax, and his mother came in. Amelia gave a mean look to Jax before going out.

"Celestine, you won't believe it! Your daughter was playing with snakes. She could have hurt herself. Isn't it right Jax?"

Jax nodded looking at the floor.

"Yes, Mrs. Robinson. I just talked to Celestine about it."

"So, she told you?"

"Yes. Also, a favor. Could you keep this a secret?"

Mrs. Robinson looked a bit confused before saying "Of-course."
