Chapter 6 Word is out

~Nevermores Palace

A huge man was eating at long wooden table as maids and servants nervously stood by with trays of food. Obese wasn't even the proper word to describe his size. The man was the definition of Glutton. He scarfed down turkey legs one by one with no signs of stopping. He was the King of Nevermore and to the public known as Lorenzo Dyer. To his Organization, he was known as Number 5, Kappa the Glutton.

He was utilized his extremely potent food transformation magic to rise to the status of King. The man could turn anything into a food item or convert food into magic spells. That wasn't why he was feared though. He was rumored to have a history of practicing cannibalism for pleasure. If a dish wasn't ever to his liking, he would eat the one who made it instead.

As he continued eating a man suddenly appeared on the ground holding his stomach coughing. The King stopped eating and looked on in amusement. "Oh Levy you're looking quite salty." This one statement made the entire staff stiffen up as they knew the King hated to be interrupted during meals.

The man slowly tried to stand.

"I GAVE NO PERMISSION FOR YOU TO STAND DID I!?!?" The Kings voice shook the hall causing things to vibrate when a male servant dropped a piece of meat on the floor. Then everything froze. The staff became terrified. The King slowly turned his head towards the member with a grimaced face then back to the man.

"Now speak before I become famished"

"Yes my lord. While on trail in Gaias Forest, we came across a traveler. We tried to extract a fee…."

The king looked upon the man. "What do you mean tried?"

"Well my liege he resisted and when we tried to make him pay he displayed skills that should be impossible for a traveler. He Even caught my water whips bare hand with no magic."

The kings interest suddenly became piqued. "Tell me more"

"It was as if he was utilizing enhancements but no incantations were spoken. Once I realized I could not defeat him, I used the teleportation skill to immediately report it."The man kept his head down.

The king leaned back scratching his chin. "So like a whipped dog you ran with your tail between your legs? Tell me why do I bother spending resources on that pathetic guild of yours if you cannot dispatch a lonely traveler? Have you outlived your purpose?"

Levy started to get extremely nervous. The sweat could be seen running down his face. "Sir he displayed the type of skills that a High ranking Gold or possibly even Platinum adventurer would have."

"I see" The King stood up and slowly walked around the table. As he got past the male servant in the blink of an eye he grabbed the young man by the neck showing incredible agility and strength. He held the young man by the throat as he stared at Levy. "I will let you live for that one statement. Find him and bring him to me. But should you fail me again…."

He turned toward and looked down at the young man struggling for his life. He immediately turned dragging the young man by his neck to the table

"NO PLEASE MY LORD NOooo" The servant screamed.

Levy stared in horror as he witnessed something that would come straight from

nightmares. The king slammed the young man down on the table, took his seat and started to eat the man in front of the servants and Levy. Blood and flesh went everywhere as the king ripped apart the young man piece by piece.

~Back in Gaia's Forest

Erios hadn't seen anymore patrols which he was glad for. He knew he probably shouldn't have let that Adventurer go, but he'd deal with whatever consequences came from it.

He reached a clearing and could see he was finally out of the forest. He looked down and could see a massive Kingdom in the distance. After walking for a bit he finally reached the line to enter the kingdom. He had made it to Nevermore.
