Chapter 14 - End of the Battle

The massive amount of electricity I had released had been enough to cause all the demons to be swallowed by my attack and slammed into the ground. "Not yet, HA!" The massive amount of lightning suddenly increased, until my vision began to blur, causing me to stop generating electricity. "Shit, I still haven't recovered from the battle against the Phoenix," raising my hands, I hit both of my cheeks hard to avoid fainting from overexertion as I fell to the ground, no longer possessing an aerial form.

"At least," I gasp. "I managed to eliminate most of the demons." Looking down at where the demons were slammed into the ground, I observed all the demons lying on the ground and even a smell of burnt flesh managed to reach the highest part of the sky. Then, out of the three hundred demons, only twenty managed to get up, including the pair of demons in royal armor. "Damn wretch!" the demon shouted at me with a blue circle and then, raising both arms, he created a huge blue magic circle and from it came a huge water dragon.

"It's bigger than the last one, but it's still there, huh?" I could barely keep my surprise when the huge water dragon didn't head towards me. I had to follow the direction of the dragon to see with horror that the attack was going towards the angels. "Damn demon!" I had to transform back into my griffin form and dive, hoping to get there before the water dragon wiped out the weakened angels... "Now!" With great desperation, I managed to get in front of the angels a few seconds before the water dragon. "As I said before, it's a cheap trick!" With a strong punch I got rid of the dragon.

Bang!

I barely had time to react when a red and black ray was launched after the water dragon towards my chest. At the last second I managed to use my right arm to stop it from connecting with my heart; instead, a sharp pain shot through my arm. "So it was you who had made my reinforced skin disappear." Looking down, he looked at my right arm or what was left of it. The part where my hand and forearm should be had completely disappeared, leaving only a bleeding elbow.

"It hurts like shit," he tightly clenched the fist of my left arm and looked back at the demons that were left. "But unfortunately for you, it's already a familiar pain," ignoring the pain in my arm, I ran towards them and they, seeing that, created a huge defensive magic circle. "I'm not an animal without intellect, idiots," this time instead of charging and hitting them, I ran around them and their magic circle, while my body mutated again.

My body began to deform, making my left arm and what was left of my right arm stick to my torso, disappearing. Likewise, throwing myself to the ground, my legs came together until they joined and became a long tail. My head and my neck also joined until my entire body took the form of a huge titanoboa almost fifteen meters long, and then, several spines began to emerge from my body. "It's time for them to die," crawling around them to enclose them with my body, I opened my mouth to start releasing methane gas towards the center where they were.

"Lord Sitri, please save us"

"Lord Bael, I can't breathe."

"Please help"

I could hear all kinds of pleas from the demons, which were sounding weaker and weaker, but still, I didn't stop and continued releasing more methane gas. COF, "Don't stay there like idiots!", shouted as best he could the demon with royal armor and a blue circle. "Use air magic to clear the methane gas so I can create a barrier!", with his shout it was enough for the other demons to come back to reality, and creating several magic circles they released a gust of wind that pushed the methane gas away for only a few seconds, but it was enough for them to be surrounded by a huge amount of water, forming some kind of barrier.

'Do you think that will be enough you bunch of idiots?', I thought as I released all the methane gas I could and wrapped my body around the barrier. After all, demons can't open the barrier to attack, since if they do, the methane gas will enter inside the barrier, slowly killing them because of how toxic it is. "I think they forgot that I can also generate electricity", stopping generating methane gas, I opened my mouth as wide as I could and bit the barrier. "I hope they die this time."

BOOM!!!

When I generated a small spark of electricity in my mouth, all the methane gas reacted, causing a powerful explosion that ended up sending me flying through the air and causing me to crash into the ground. "Shit, I forgot that I no longer have the reinforcement spells that the angels had given me in the battle against the Phoenix," just by getting up, an enormous familiar pain ran through my entire body. Turning my head, I inspected my body for any wounds, finding only burns on the reinforced skin and some shattered thorns. "Well, if you ignore the pain, the damage wasn't that bad." Turning my gaze towards where the explosion occurred, I could see a huge crater.

Crawling along the ground, I reached the crater, then observed inside it that the barrier that the demons had to protect themselves had shattered and now there were only two demons standing. "Those Lords are certainly tough to kill," opening my mouth, I tried to release more methane gas, only for nothing to come out. "Well, the methane gas is gone and now I'm ravenously hungry," I had to turn my head, when a red and black beam passed quickly inches from my head. "It seems they're not going to give up."

"Damn bastard, consider yourself dead," said the demon with a golden circle, then created several magic circles shooting red and black rays towards my direction. "For the first time I agree with you, Lord Bael," the other demon also created several magic circles and from these came all kinds of water attacks, such as water blades, water dragons, pressurized water and even a torrential amount of water. "Shit," I had to crawl as fast as possible to dodge the torrential rain of attacks.

"I guess even the smartest demon loses his intelligence when he gets carried away by anger," both demons attacked relentlessly, ignoring any kind of tactics or if he wanted to plan a plan, after all, he went from having the upper hand in the battle to being the ones about to die. "There must be some way to attack them without having to get close," I couldn't stop crawling to avoid any of their attacks from hitting me, since in my state even water attacks would be fatal. "Even if you're smart, you're still a beast," I could barely hear a scream when a red and black lightning pierced my body. "Hhssssss!", the pain was tremendous; it was as much as when I was completely incinerated by the Phoenix. "You're right, Lord Bael, a beast is still a beast," the pain coursing through me was so much that I didn't notice the approaching water dragon.

"Damn it!" The jaws of the huge water dragon managed to bite my head and begin to drag me forcefully along the ground, then lift me into the sky and finally crash me hard against the ground. "Damn," I stood up with effort, my reinforced skin on the side of my head had been destroyed by the reaction of the rapid change in temperature from hot to cold.

"I guess we got carried away by anger, Lord Bael."

"It seems so, Lord Sitri; after all, a beast can't stand up to high-class demons like us," looking up ahead, I could see both demons flying towards me with their five pairs of bat wings with an arrogant smile on their faces. "Damn bastards, your arrogance will be your downfall," mutating my body again, I changed the cow's methane gas generating form to the spitting cobra's venom spitting form and the skin reinforced by the taipan's venom from within.

"It's time to end this."

"I agree, Lord Bael."

Both demons came within a couple of meters of my body and, raising their arms, two large blue and gold magic circles appeared in the palm of their hands, pointing in the direction of my head. "For once, you're somewhat right, you filthy demons," I raised my head and a sinister smile appeared on my snake-like face. "It's time to end this," opening my mouth as quickly as I could; From the tip of my fangs, a huge jet of pale yellow poison shot out towards the demon with the blue circle, causing his magic circle to be cancelled, but the one with the golden circle did manage to cast a spell that I barely managed to dodge, but it ended up piercing my tail.

"Damn it!", the demon with the blue circle, began to writhe on the ground while grabbing his eyes; "What the hell did he throw at me?!", hitting the ground hard, he slowly got up with the support of the other demon. "Don't even think so", ignoring the pain in my body, I moved my tail hard and connected a strong whip to the demon with the blue circle sending him into the air. "Damn it!", the remaining demon opened his five pairs of wings and rose into the air, then creating several magic circles and launching a rain of attacks. "Shit, now he's really mad", I had to start snaking at my maximum speed to dodge all the attacks and, even so, some managed to graze me, generating more pain.

"Shit, now what do I do?", dodging the attacks, I began to remember as much as I could about the animal attack techniques. "Direct attacks are useless, since he's flying and since I'm not used to flying, he'll be an easy target," dodging another attack, I turn my head and launch a huge jet of poison at him, only for him to dodge it easily. "Poison is useless either, I can't generate more methane gas either and my body is too tired to produce huge amounts of electricity."

It was then that dodging an attack centimeters from my head, I managed to observe a meerkat running and hiding in a burrow. "Sure, if I can't attack head on then, I just have to hide and attack." Dodging another attack, my entire body changes to that of a mole and then I start digging in the ground. "Moles do need glasses, I can't see almost anything," he muttered as he dug deeper. "Well, I just have to hide and attack at the right time, although it's annoying to do so with only three legs."

After digging in a zigzag pattern, I stopped for a moment in a corner and lay down on the ground. "Now it's all up to you," I said as I moved my nose. Then I could hear the ground being destroyed and the entire path I had dug being buried. "Damn you, demon," throwing myself to the ground, I dug again to start dodging the attacks with the help of the earth's vibrations. Until after a few minutes I could feel the scent of the demon closer than before, or rather, above me. "Okay, it's now or never," filling myself with courage, I began to dig upwards, hoping that none of his attacks would hit me, after all, a single lightning bolt was enough to disintegrate my current body.

"What the fuck?!", the whole ground began to shake until I emerged from the ground in my titanoboa form with thorns next to the demon. "Shit, I miscalculated," dodging an attack towards my head, I began to roll up the demon's body with my huge body and began to crush it. "Your cheap tricks don't work on me," said the demon with a golden circle and then grabbed my body and with his strength began to free himself from my grip. "Let's see if you like this trick," then the thorns emerged from my body, digging into his body, passing through his body with ease and then receiving a bite on his arm, injecting him with a large amount of poison. "Damn, bastard," little by little his strength was decreasing and he even tried to open his wings without success. "No matter how strong you are, the poison of the inland taipan is very powerful and I just injected you with more than 800 mg," I said, but for him it was only a hiss as I squeezed his body tighter.

In a desperate act, the demon began to cast red and black spells, piercing through my body with ease, but I refused to let go and tightened my grip. "Please let me go, I swear I won't participate in this war again," the demon began to plead after he stopped casting his spells. "Now beg?" I said in a mocking tone. "I'm not an idiot, just die." Somehow, the demon managed to understand what I said as he began to cry and beg. "I swear to Lucifer-sama that I won't fight you again and if I see you, I will kneel before you… so… please," I watched in silence as little by little his bones broke and his oxygen disappeared. "As if," I stopped my words as I remembered that I could very well gain an ally if I let him go like Goku did with Vegeta and Piccolo. "I hope I don't regret this decision," he muttered as he let go of the demon.

"Cough, cough," I watched silently as the demon struggled to regain air in silence. "I'd like to threaten him, but I'd be taking a risk if I took my human form," then an idea came to my mind and with a smile, I began to change my vocal cords from snake to human. "Listen carefully, you vermin," when the demon heard my thick voice, he stopped coughing and looked at me with a terrified look. "If I see you again, I won't hesitate to kill you, keep that in mind, I'm only letting you go on a whim."

"A, that's how it will be," said the demon as he threw himself to the ground with great effort, only for a golden magic circle to appear beneath him and disappear. "Well, like Goku said, if I ever come back I just have to get stronger," changing shape, I took the hybrid form of an Atlas lion, Siberian tiger, and grizzly bear to walk towards the angels. "I can certainly say that these have been very hard days." I could only walk a few steps before falling to the ground from exhaustion. "Shit," were my last words before my vision blurred and I saw a beautiful twelve-winged angel approaching, before losing consciousness.

Well, here goes another chapter and I have to clarify one point. I won't create fake events, what do I mean by that? Basically, having the MC save a canon character unnecessarily, example: creating an event where Issei or Irina as kids are in danger, when they basically should never be, only for the MC to show up and save them, doing the typical, "If I hadn't been there, this character would have died." It pisses me off that they add something like that to fanfics, I mean, they're unnecessary...

Leaving that aside, I finally reached 10 thousand views and surpassed 500 collections! I'm happy to know that you like this story, plus in the next chapter there's a break for MC and there are only a few chapters left to finish volume one. Honestly, I'm sad, not because the novel is over, but because I already know how to finish the volume. Well, leaving that aside, see you in the next chapter, take care.
