Diplomatic Incident

Kuoh, Japan.

Rias Gremory was not having a good day, not one bit.

First, she discovered that Fallen Angels had taken up residence in her territory and were planning on killing one of the boys in school, Issei Hyoudou because he possesses a powerful Dragon-type sacred gear, she had learned this thanks to Koneko, her rook, who was a former Nekoshou.

She had then followed the boy on his false date with the Fallen called Yuuma who then tried to kill him near the fountain at the park, thankfully, she was already prepared and had managed to fend off the fallen before she could kill Hyoudou, for some reason, that name was causing warning bells to ring in her head, she should have paid heed to those instincts at that time, but she ignored them in all her wisdom and decided to invite the boy into her peerage, a stupid decision which she would regret later.

It was soon after she had transformed Issei into a devil that a small amount of holy energy hidden in his body acted and tried to kill him, she had no doubt that it was the work of the Fallen due to how that energy had waited until she turned Issei into a devil to act for maximum effect, only a Fallen or a Devil could come up with such a vile assassination technique.

That night she spent her time healing the unconscious issei back to health, it was in the morning that all hell broke loose.

When the brother of her new pawn had arrived home, she had already sensed that something was wrong, his very presence was causing her instincts to go wild, telling her to flee and hide in the deepest corner of the world, that she was in the presence of the Apex Predator, that she stood no chance against him.

It was when he spoke in that strange language that everything started to click.

That strange language that seemed to warp reality itself with but words was unique to only a single human in this world, a famous human who was renowned for his power and ruthlessness in eliminating his target.

The Dragon of the Magus Association, Minato Hyoudou.

It soon dawned on her that she fucked up big time.

The Hudson family was marked as untouchable by the Devils even before they became a Magus family in the ancient times by the original Satans themselves, a law that they passed through a special form of Blood magic which would make anyone that took up the throne as the leaders of Devils to follow this rule no matter what, all of this was because of the fact that even the Christian God and the four Satans were afraid of provoking the Nine Divines.

No one knows from where the Nine Divines came from, they only know that every single one of them is strong enough to put down entire pantheons by themselves, especially Akatosh, who is said to be on par with Shiva in terms of power.

Not to mention the fact that even the ever secretive Dead Apostles and the True Dragons were apprehensive of so much as approaching Kuoh in fear of the family.

And now, she had gone and reincarnated one of the two heirs of the said family, not to mention that she had taken the youngest of this generation, meaning that she had taken the possible successor of the family.

If the news gets out about this, The entire Magus Association along with the wielders of True Magic, The Shinto Pantheon who oversaw this land, and the Angels who would take this chance to have revenge, would immediately attack the Underworld and demand her execution for her transgression, knowing his brother, he would refuse, meaning that another great war, this time, much worse than the previous one, would take place, all because she was foolish enough to not investigate the background of the boy whom she had turned into a devil.

Of course, all of this will only happen of she survives the wrath of Minato Hyoudou, The Dragon of the Magus Association.

Rias started to sweat in fear as she slowly started to activate a magic circle, hoping to teleport from the house along with Issei before the Dragon in human form regains his bearings, but her efforts were for naught.

"Genul lu" (Nullify magic) he said with barely suppressed rage.

The effect was instant as Rias immediately lost control of her demonic energy which was frozen in place as if it were a block of ice, making it impossible for her to use any of her power, even her power of destruction was out of reach.

She watched in horror as he stared her down with those enraged silver eyes of his, barely restrained power swimming behind those eyes, making her feel insignificant.

"Wait!! Minato this is not what you think, I did not sleep with her!!!" Issei shouted which resulted in the Dragonborn temporarily faltering in shock at the sheer stupidity of his brother, but a moment was all that was needed for Rias to directly escape from the house., she would thank her Pawn at a later date, for now, she needs to contact her brother and inform him of her actions, she needs to find a way to convince Minato to not blow up this matter and make things difficult for her entire race.

Minato glared down at his stupid little brother who was squirming under his gaze.

"Why did you do this Issei?" he asked as Issei averted his gaze with guilt flashing in his eyes, but it was soon replaced by determination as he faced him directly.

"Ever since we were 12 and you told me about the Supernatural, I had always wanted to be strong enough to stand by your side as an equal, when you told me that I had a Sacred Gear in me, I was ecstatic, finally, I would be able to catch up to you and stand by your side as I should as your twin, even if I am younger than you by a few minutes, but when all of our efforts were in vain, when I failed to unlock the sacred gear in me, I decided to look towards other ways to get strong while you left for the Clock Tower," he said as Minato nodded.

He knew that Issie had gone under the tutelage of a renowned Kendo expert in Kuoh to become skilled in swordplay and hoped that this training will help him unlock his power, after all, Minato was that one who recommended the man to Issei.

Issei's eyes soon filled up with depression as he said,

"But after you left, even when I drove myself into the ground in hopes to grow strong, even when I became strong enough to fight middle-class to high-class beings on my own, I still failed to unlock my sacred gear, at that point, I truly felt despair, thinking that I could never be as strong as you, but then I remembered the fact that one could become strong easily if they were not human, and the easiest way for a human to change their race was to reincarnate as Devils, so I began to plan, I played the persona of a foolish pervert and fooled the resident Devils into thinking of me as easy prey, and my acting had indeed paid off, I managed to attract the attention of that weakling called Yuuma which in turn drew the attention of the Gremory, after that, rest is history as I manage to put a convincing act of me being a weak little human and managed to convince her to reincarnate me in her peerage," at this point, Issei had a broken expression on his face, something that caused my heart to twist in pain.

"And the worst thing is, it actually worked, reincarnation into a devil finally unlocked this stupid sacred gear, a Twice Critical of all things, I traded my humanity willingly, only to discover that the Sacred gear was not even worth a part of the price I paid for it, I know, that you must already be disappointed with me, that you must already think of me as a disgrace and no longer consider your brother, that is fine, I know I am not-" but before he could continue he was stopped as Minato hit him on the head as he said.

"You are an idiot Issei, I already told you many times that your Sacred Gear does not matter when it comes to strength, the strength that truly matters in the strength to get back up no matter how many times life pushes you down, and that is the strength that you always had, even more than me, I never imagined that you would willingly sell away your humanity for something stupid like strength, but even then, even if you end up becoming a monster in human skin, you will still be my brother, there is no denying that," I said, I then switched to Dovahzul.

Immediately, Issei fell asleep as I sighed.

"Now take rest as I try to fix the mess you have created with your idiocy, seriously, even though I managed to beat the prevention out of you, I never managed to beat out that stupidity and impulsiveness, ugh, now I have to deal with another Diplomatic incident the moment I come back home, seriously, give me a break!!" I ended up shouting that last part.

I sighed as I walked out of the house and looked towards the direction of the Kuoh Academy, I prepared my Thuum and shouted in my mind.
