high school dxd : rebirth

in this fanfiction, the protagonist finds himself unexpectedly transmigrated into the body of Riser Phenex from High School DxD. However, this is no ordinary retelling of Rias Gremory’s story. Instead, the narrative takes a bold, fresh approach, steering clear of the original plotlines and exploring a unique journey of growth, power, and self-discovery. Drawing inspiration from multiple universes, the story incorporates elements from Kung Fu Panda, Harry Potter, and Power Rangers Mystic Force, with more captivating worlds and characters to be introduced as the tale unfolds. All rights to the characters and settings from High School DxD, Kung Fu Panda, Harry Potter, Power Rangers Mystic Force, and any other referenced franchises belong to their respective copyright holders. As the grand hall slowly emptied, only a few figures remained—Rias Gremory, her peerage, Sirzechs Lucifer, and Sona Sitri. The tension that had filled the room during the earlier confrontation began to dissipate, leaving behind a heavy silence.

Rias, having finally gathered her composure, turned to her older brother, searching for answers in his eyes. "Brother, why do you think Riser quit?"

Sirzechs smiled warmly at his sister, then shifted his gaze toward Sona. "Sona, would you like to share your thoughts on Rias's question?"

Sona sighed inwardly, knowing she had been drawn into this discussion by Sirzechs's invitation. But as Rias was her friend, she couldn't refuse. "I think Riser noticed your attempts to break the engagement, and he decided to take control of the situation. By quitting, he managed to turn things in his favor without entirely losing face."

Kiba, still puzzled, spoke up. "But he chose to quit, didn't he? Wouldn't that mean he did lose face in front of the entire devil society?"

Akeno, ever the one to tease, smiled devilishly. "Ara, Kiba-san, do you really think things are that simple?"

sona :- " if he got defeated he would have lost he would have mocked and ridicule by all devil society "

Rias, still unsure, asked again, "Why did he admit defeat, Sona?"

Sona glanced at Sirzechs before answering, "He chose to accept defeat because he knew," she pointed toward Sirzechs, "that your brother wouldn't let the engagement go through, no matter what."

Rias's eyes softened as she looked at her brother. "Oni-chan," she whispered before moving to hug him tightly. Sirzechs smiled, gently patting her head, offering silent reassurance.

Sona, still contemplating the events, added, "But what I don't understand is how Riser was able to notice all this. He never seemed like the type to be so perceptive."

Akeno, curious and thoughtful, chimed in, "And what about that blue flame that erupted from him? "

Sirzechs, his expression thoughtful, addressed Sona's confusion. "Sona, the answer to your question lies within the question Akeno just asked."

Rias, puzzled, asked, "The blue flame, Brother? How could a flame change a person so drastically?"

Sirzechs gently patted Rias's head again, his voice serious as he explained. "That blue flame is the legendary ability of the Phoenix family. It was first and last witnessed during the era of the first Lucifer, displayed by the founder of the Phoenix family. He used it to save the first Lucifer from a life-threatening attack, though he perished in the process. Out of respect and loyalty, Lucifer granted the Phoenix family the title of Marquis. Unfortunately, after that, the ability—known as Rebirth—was never seen again within the family. They withdrew from active participation in wars and chose to focus on business, selling Phoenix Tears and becoming the richest family in the devil world."

Rias's eyes widened with realization. "Oh..."

Sona, her voice carrying a mix of admiration and concern, added, "So, Riser has achieved something epic, but we don't fully understand how it might have affected him?"

Sirzechs nodded. "According to the legends surrounding the Phoenix, the Rebirth ability has the power to completely change a person."

Akeno, with her usual playful tone, grinned. "Looks like you lost yourself a real catch, Rias."

Rias, pouting slightly, shot back, "I don't care about things like that, Akeno!"

Akeno's grin widened. "Oh, we all know you've already given your heart to someone."

Rias blushed deeply, her usual composure slipping as she began to bicker with Akeno. The rest of the group watched, smiling at the familiar, lighthearted scene. Despite the heavy topics they had just discussed, the warmth and camaraderie among them remained unshaken, a reminder that some things in their world were constant, no matter how much else might change.

ShadowFlame13:

Wow, I didn't see this coming! Riser was always so arrogant, but to admit defeat like that? Something must have really gone down behind the scenes.

LuciferFan99:

This has Sirzechs written all over it. No way would he let his little sister get married to someone like Riser unless he had some plan. Gotta respect the guy for looking out for family, though.

PhoenixRising23:

As a member of a lesser noble family, I think Riser showed real growth. He knew the engagement was doomed and chose to walk away with dignity. That's gotta count for something, right?

GremoryLoyalist:

Good riddance! Rias deserves someone who genuinely cares for her, not a power-hungry jerk like Riser. Issei might not be a noble, but he's got more heart than that guy ever will.

HellfireDuke:

What's with the blue flames? I heard Riser unlocked some crazy Rebirth ability, but isn't that supposed to be impossible? If that's true, why'd he still quit?

SuccubusGossip:

So much drama! Rias showing up in the middle of the duel to protect Issei? That's romance novel material right there. Can't wait to see what happens next!

HouseAstarothPride:

Diodora's right, though. Inviting all those nobles just to break the engagement is a slap in the face to House Gremory. Riser's gonna need some serious damage control.

DevilKingWatcher:

Sirzechs didn't even need to flex his power—just his influence. Riser must've known he couldn't win in the long run. Smart move or cowardly? Depends on who you ask.

InfernoKnight:

Is it just me, or is this a sign that the old ways are changing? Nobles breaking engagements, commoners like Issei getting involved in high-stakes duels... The devil world's in for some serious shake-ups.

Bluechicken98:

Riser's got guts, I'll give him that. Walking away from an engagement with Rias Gremory isn't something you do lightly. I'm curious to see what his next move will be
