Chapter 1: The sleepover/ Why'd you invite her?

Grnnnnnnnn!The alarm clock rang at 6:00 and Emily was too lazy to stand up so she snoozed the alarm and went under the covers smiling before going back to bed. Then she felt a cold liquid touch her skin and she squirmed. Mooommmm! She screamed and jumped off the bed.

Get ready for school! Her mom said and she reluctantly went into the bathroom grumbling. Thirty minutes later she came out and got dressed in a hoodie and baggy pants and carried her bags downstairs. She met her mom and her two brothers helping themselves to the pancakes her mom made, she took two pancakes and a glass of milk. She was done in two minutes and took her plates to the sink and washed them. She picked up her bag and put an apple in her bag and put on her hat backwards. I am taking you and your brothers to school! Her mom said. Don't worry mom I can go on my own! Emily protested. Her mom shrugged and reluctantly agreed. Emily picked up her skateboard and a helmet and went off.

At school she met her best friend who was wearing a pink shirt and a white skirt. She was talking to Bianca the hottest girl in their school. Sasha! She called her and waved. She waved back and walked towards Emily. They hugged and walked to their first class chatting until she bumped into someone. Oh no! she muttered and looked up. She almost fainted at the face she saw.

It was Brian, her crush since 2nd grade. He muttered a sorry and walked away. You couldn't even talk to him! Sasha said. She didn't say any thing. They walked to class in silence.

She saw Brian already in class. Sasha being a teacher's pet stayed at the front seat. The only seat left was near Brian and she walked slowly to the seat trembling. She slowly sat down and the teacher Ms. Greta started teaching. The first class was math. Emily and Brian were good at math but Bianca wasn't. The teacher paired them in twos. Sasha and Will, Bianca and Samantha, Emily and Brian and the rest of the class.

The class soon ended, and they walked out of the class to their next class. You were really good in class! Brian said smiling and she smiled back at him. He walked away and Emily let out a sigh of relief. Did you see that Em! He smiled at you! Sasha said grinning widely.

It's nothing! Emily said as she flushed red. Their next class was Spanish and it wasn't long till the bell rang and they started going home. They had a sleepover at Sasha's house. Sasha lived with her mom just like Emily. They stopped by Emily's house for her clothes and other things. Be careful guys, don't stay up late! Her mom said. Okay mom! Okay Mrs Eunice! Emily and Sasha said in unison. It was getting late so they Emily's mom drove them to Sasha's house and got going.

Ding! The doorbell rang. Are you expecting anyone? I asked Sasha and she she shrugged. Let me check! She said as she walked to the door. Who's at the door? I heard her mom say as I turned off the the TV. Oh, hi Bianca! Sasha said and I sprang up immediately and walked to the door. Sorry if I interrupted anything! Bianca said fixing her gaze on me. No, not at all! I heard Sasha say. I pulled Sasha to the side.

No, not at all, seriously. What is she even doing here? I asked fuming. She didn't have anything planned for this weekend so I felt bad and invited her to our sleepover. Sasha replied. Come on! Its gonna be fun!She grinned pulling out her hand. I reluctantly took it and we walked to the door. You can come in! Sasha said grinning and Bianca smiled.

We walked to the parlour and sat on the blanketed floor with Bianca in between Sasha and I. Hey girls! Sasha's mom walked in with four sodas and a large bowl of popcorn. We each grabbed sodas and Bianca took the bowl of popcorn. I took a sip from my soda. Can I join in? Sasha's mom, Sabrina asked. We all groaned and reluctantly agreed. She sat in the middle and sasha was near her while Bianca sat beside me. We were enjoying the movie until Sasha's mom started talking about us staying away from boys and blah blah blah.

We started screaming holding our ears with our palms until she stopped. She turned off the TV and told us to go to bed. So we all went to bed and this time I was in the middle. I looked at Sasha and she was sleeping soundly, I then turned to Bianca she was snoring. I quietly lay on my back and started thinking about no one other than Brian. After a few minutes I slept off.

We had protein bars for breakfast and Sasha's mom took me home. I went straight to my room and fell on the bed and sighed out. I brought out my homework and started the math assignment Ms. Greta gave us. When I was done I went down to make a banana smoothie and slept.

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. I picked up the phone thinking it was Sasha. I almost jumped when I heard Brian's voice.

Hello ' he said and I didn't want to make the conversation more awkward so I decided to talk to him. Hi Brian! I said. Hey, how are you doing? He asked. I'm good ,what about you? I asked smiling. I'm good, Em. I wanted to know if you are true with the math homework. He said. Yeah I'm already true with it, are you ? I asked. Yeah, I'm actually true but the last one's a bummer.He sighed. Ohhh, I could help! I said.
