Hiding from my Demon Prince

"Once I get my hands on you. You will beg me, on your knees..." "Huh? I was sure it would be you who would be on your knees begging me. Pretty boy." I said, interrupting him. The look on his face brought a very sweet smile to my face which unfortunately he can't see, as I am wearing a mask. He was upon me, he was fast. I was pinned to the car, the weight of his body pressing into me. his one hand pressing the blade against my throat, while the other has my hands restricted. This close he looked even more handsome. "Are you sure? Little bird. You are caught pretty easily for someone who talks like that." A laugh escaped me, it made me notice all the places he was pressed in. did he think he caught me? How naïve, doesn't he know who I am?  One second, he was pressed into me in the next I vanished, for a witch traveling from one place to other through teleporting is really easy. Lucky that I am a part witch. Though no one will suspect that I am a hybrid as there are many charms available in the market that makes teleporting possible for other creatures. It took a moment for him to realize it. That moment of surprise cost him as I appeared behind him, somehow, he was able to sense me and turn just in time, but he was too late and two of my blades were pressed against his throat. "Who is caught now, pretty boy?" I was surprised to see the excitement in his eyes instead of anger. This was dragging a bit too far I have something more important than this "as much as I like to make you beg, I have to go. Know that you will never be able to catch me. Pretty boy." and I was gone. "Onyx? Liza, he... He barely talks." With the time I have spent with him, I know he doesn't say anything unless it is absolutely necessary. We are going there to escort them. I will have to do all the talking; how will he take us around Starfall when he doesn't even say anything?

While I stood there staring at him, worriedly chewing on my fingernails, onyx was just standing there not even looking at me. I don't think this will work.

"We don't have anyone else, Mor, I believe in you, you can do this," she said in mock seriousness and made her escape. She knows, damn her.

"Leo!" I turned to him with hope. Was he there the whole time? He was leaning on the cubicle sipping his coffee. "You should come with me." he looks like he doesn't have anything else to do anyways,

"can't Mor, I am going to meet Father, today." Why is he going to meet his father? And that too now. I was going to ask more about it when he interrupted.

"It will be good for you to be out Mor, you know away from here," he said giving a sidelong glance at Felix who was walking by. "Mor, you have wanted to see Starfall forever. Now it is your time, you will be working while enjoying the city, what more can you ask for."

He is right, I have been asking him to take me out since we arrived here, but he was always busy. So, I never had the chance to explore the city. Though there is this little thing where the prince knows my name and how I look. I wonder how Leo would react when he finds out about it. I decided it will be good for him if he doesn't know about it.

"Have fun. You should check out the places on the internet before you go, onyx doesn't talk much." Leo said before walking away. I groaned loudly; I knew it. This is going to be so much more difficult than it should be.

"Hey! Here," I jumped in surprise when Felix popped in, handing me an envelope, it was a simple white envelope lined with blue. It was in my hands before I could question what it was. "I'll be going, I don't know why but Leo is acting a bit strange." he said pointing at Leo who has his back turned to us. Is he sneaking behind Leo's back to give me this? "When he said you were like a sister to him, I didn't know he meant it seriously. He is acting like your real brother." Felix continued with a frown.

"Wait! What is this?" I asked him, showing the envelope in my hands.

"it's an invite." he said walking backwards, "to my birthday, it will be a sad birthday if you won't be there." the cutest looking pout appeared on his face. "So, make sure to arrive on time. I'll be waiting." He finished with a smile, disappearing into his office.

His birthday? Hmm. Maybe I will go. I just don't want him to be sad.

Morana and Onyx made their way to the part of Starfall designated for elves, it is called Silvershade. It is not like no other species reside here, this area mostly consists of elves, their steps falling silent on the cobblestone pathways. The buildings here had a more rustic and natural feel, with a lot of wood and natural materials used in their construction. It was a stark contrast to the sleek, modern look of the rest of the city.

As they walked deeper into the Silvershade, the architecture became more intricate and elegant. There was greenery everywhere. The buildings were taller and more graceful, with curved roofs and delicate spires. The streets became more crowded, with elves of all ages and occupations milling about.

"Is this where you live?" I asked onyx in awe. He didn't reply though. Unlike me who was gawking at everything, he was more elegant and was walking without giving anyone a moment of his attention. I wish I was an elf I would love to live here. I don't need to be an elf to live here. I should convince Leo to move here with me.

But there is Aro. I don't think I will leave him alone again in that huge house. He will go mad. He is already a ghost; a mad ghost will be a nuisance.

The palace of the elves stands tall and proud in the heart of the silvershade. It is a magnificent structure made of white marble, with graceful arches and towers that reach up towards the sky. The towers were covered with ivy. There were plants hanging from every window of the palace. Elves are the creatures of nature; it was natural for them to have nature closer to them. It was the most beautiful thing I have seen.

The main entrance to the palace is guarded by two tall, regal-looking elves dressed in golden armor. They stand at attention, watching over the entrance with sharp eyes and stoic expressions. As Morana and Onyx approach, the guards nod respectfully and open the door to allow them to enter.

As we made our way inside, we found a guard who took us to meet our guests.

The garden in the palace was a true masterpiece, an unparalleled work of art, and a breathtaking sight to behold. As we entered the garden, I was enveloped by the sweet fragrance of blooming flowers, and the gentle melody of birdsong filled my ears. The lush greenery of the garden was a refreshing sight, and the vibrant colors of the flowers were mesmerizing.

The garden was a vast expanse of perfectly manicured lawns, winding pathways, and small clearings. Everywhere I looked, there were fountains, statues, and intricately designed benches. The flowers were arranged in perfect harmony, forming a tapestry of colors that was both soothing and invigorating.

This is amazing. I should turn my garden just like this. It was art, I bet I will be able to copy this though. And with the help of Leo, our garden will also have this elegant feel.

The centerpiece of the garden was a large gazebo, its roof made of intricately woven vines and leaves. As I made my way towards it my breath stopped, this was so pretty. The gazebo was surrounded by a small pond, its crystal-clear waters teeming with fish and water lilies. The pond was connected to a series of streams and waterfalls that snaked their way around the garden, giving the impression of a small, enchanted river.

I can spend the rest of my life staring at this, it was so beautiful.

I was so mesmerized by the beauty of the garden I forgot about the reason why I had come here.
