Bad news

"There's a banquet coming up in Eritrea by next week and my father told me to come. Do you want to come with me? As a plus one perhaps" Ivan said as they entered their room. He had almost forgotten to ask her about it and since she looked as if she was bored because of being mostly confined in the palace.

Alexia's eyes brightened up in excitement "Do you even have to ask? Obviously I would come with you. Besides I don't want any woman to ogle at my husband" she concurred, She didn't need another Daffany in her life.

Ivan chuckled as he bent to kiss her cheek stunning Alexia "I like my possessive and daring wife by the way" he said and Alexia blushed as she looked down shyly. Ivan was bewildered. One time, she was bold and saying everything that came to her mind and the other, she was behaving like a little shy wife. Her countenances changed like the flip of a switch. He walked ahead to the bathroom and closed the door and the sound the door made when it closed finally made Alexia move from her spot.

'Tease' she thought helplessly. Her husband was a shameless man attacking her when she was weak 'Rogue' she thought again. 'She was going to make him pay' she promised herself. She walked to the bed and immediately her head hit the bed, she fell asleep. She was tired from the day's activity anyway.

Ivan walked out of the room after coming out from the bathroom. He walked out quietly. It was time he went back to that library again. He hadn't forgotten about it but Alexia was all his mind was preoccupied with nowadays. He could take the chance when she was asleep. He walked into the library and pulled out the book used to open the door and he walked inside. He was going to read that book someday but he didn't have time right now. He had bigger things to solve like the orb and the whole magical beings story.

He walked towards the orb and the thing seemed to shine brighter the more he came closer. He grabbed the book he didn't finish that day and opened to where he stopped but on second thoughts he decided to just inspect the orb and he dropped the book back. The silver lighted orb suddenly released a burst of light when his hand touched it. The silver light pointed towards something and Ivan followed the light. He stopped in front of a book and the drawing on the cover of the book was the same as the painting in the hall way. He was surprised at the revelation and it didn't make it all that good when he remembered the former king of Medrian, He didn't know if the man knew of this place but if he did it would be very bad. Who knew which kind of evil forces the man would try to call? And remembering the things he read in the story didn't help at all.

He opened the book and it was mostly about the faeries or so he thought 'he would read it later' he thought firmly. Alexia might have woken up. He sighed when he thought about the orb. He had to get to the bottom of this no matter what. He walked back to his room with a determined mind. Alexia was still asleep when he walked inside. He heaved a sigh of relief as he climbed into the bed hugging her waist from behind. He snuggled his head into her neck and breathed in her scent. She smelt like peaches with a hint of strawberry. Her scent calmed his turmoiled mind. He gradually closed his eyes and slept off.

Morning passed and it was afternoon already. Alexia woke up to the sound of knocking. She sprang up and shouted "Come in" she was sure it was Dayna and Elsa and true to her words, it was them.

They bowed respectively "My lady" the action made Alexia roll her eyes. She was used to them doing that every time they came in. Their actions were too robotic. But was she meant to be complaining? That was what they were trained to do.

She had her bath in silence and dressed up. She remembered something and asked " What's the time?" she was sure she slept for a long time. She just didn't know how long.

The maids looked at each other as if contemplating before Elsa said "It's afternoon milady " she lowered her head.

Alexia paused. She was stunned "It's afternoon, already?" she expected her to say something like late morning. This was not good. Even though Ivan indulged her, she couldn't laze around and do nothing but sleep, eat and go on trips everyday. It was not right.

Her food was brought in and she ate a little. She didn't feel like going to the dining area today. After eating, she waved her hand and sent the maids out. She felt dizzy all of a sudden and her head spun. She felt like throwing up and ran to the bathroom. Her eyes widened when she saw blood. She panted heavily and rested her back on the door. She managed to drag herself out of the bathroom but she dropped on the floor when she was right near the bed. She couldn't hold on for long so she gave in to the darkness clouding her eyes.

The maids heard the noise and they rushed in only to see their lady lying on the floor. They placed her on the bed and rushed out. The first move they made was to rush out and go and look for Ivan. They rushed towards the throne room only to be stopped by the guards in front. They hollered out "This concerns our lady. Move" they were too flustered to care about anything they said at the moment.

The guards hesitated before moving aside. They knew that the Prince didn't joke with his wife so they let them in.

Ivan was in a meeting when Alexia's maids rushed in. Every time they rushed to him with a panicked look on their faces, it wasn't good. Oh no! This was going to be bad news.
