Moonstar Cave

The ride to Alavista was silent. Lauren could not believe that Benjamin was really gone. She had known him for a long time and was still getting used to the revelation that he was from Eddeathra. "We're here," Kaylissa said, snapping Lauren out of her thoughts. They had reached a large waterfall that poured down the side of a small mountain.

"It looks different now," Lauren commented, the feeling of sorrow taking over her as she remembered Amias. She quickly dismounted Askari. "Wait here," she told Kaylissa who nodded. Lauren walked to the side of the waterfall and slipped between it and the rock and disappeared from Kaylissa's view.

Darkness. No way to tell which way was up or down. Silence. No noise to guide her. Lauren was about to turn right around when she remembered the Starstone. She clutched it in her hand and it started to glow. Slowly, the light started to pierce through the darkness. Lauren could now make out the cave walls. Light suddenly flowed from the sky where a large hole appeared. Lauren could see the water flowing above, but it was not falling through the hole. It was like there was glass at the top. The sun shining through the water created a crystal-like effect throughout the cave with the sun dancing on the cave walls. Lauren could make out that the cave was covered in vegetation. Colorful flowers grew sporadically where soft moss covered parts of the cave floor. Water trickled down in shallow streams from cracks in the cave's walls. It was beautiful.

A faint glowing figure appeared that took the shape of Maisha, but then it disappeared. In her place, stood a boy with blond hair on some sort of rock with a purple and blue sky. Lauren quickly realized that she was in a vision. The setting changed and the boy disappeared. She was now looking at a mountain top with a dagger stuck in an overgrown stone. It reminded Lauren of the story of King Arthur in a way. The hilt of the sword read MQ on it.

The vision suddenly dissipated and Lauren was back in the cave. She had no time to react when someone grabbed her from behind and covered her mouth.
