AMBUSH

Ashley gazed at Father as he stopped talking and took the glass of water from the table and drank it. 

He couldn't believe his ears, his father kidnapped his boss because he wanted money for his mother's treatment and his kind boss died due to a silly mistake! 

"But you didn't kill him, you were threatened to kidnap, they used mother!" He struggled to find justification for his dad. 

Charles smiled sadly at Ashley's outburst, if only all he said mattered, "Son, I didn't go to prison because I was framed, I went because of guilt, and I deserve..." As he was talking, Ashley stood up and wrapped his hands around his shoulders, "No, Father, you don't..." 

"I do, it was my fault if I hadn't agreed, Oliver might still be alive and well," He admitted, patting his son's back. 

"But you would have never known his brother's true colors,"
