A mysterious little wife

Upon hearing these words, everyone at the table were shocked and immediately turned to Huo Xinhan with questioning gazes.

"Little... Little Nine, what did you just say?", Old Madam Huo spoke up immediately, fearing that she might have heard wrong.

Since childhood, her youngest son had no female friends and up to date he had never dated anyone before!

"Little Nine...repeat... did I hear you clearly?", Old Master Huo stuttered nervously, trying to suppress the excitement in his heart. He did not want to get too excited and then hear something else.

Huo Xinhan chuckled lightly and knocked his hand on the table twice.

"I'm already married and I don't think my little wife would agree to your decisions about my birthday. She has to make decisions for me", Huo Xinhan patiently explained, his eyes somewhat gentle as he spoke about Qin Mei.

Everyone felt their heads explode when Huo Xinhan finally dropped the bombshell.

"What? Little Nine you...you got married? When? Are you playing jokes with us?", Old Madam Huo's eyes were filled with excitement even though she found it hard to believe his words.

"Little Nine you...how... you got married? Where's your wife?", Old Master Huo immediately asked, his smile almost reaching his ears.

Huo Zilan and Qin Mingmei were also shocked by the news most especially Qin Mingmei.

"Brother Huo, did you not know?", Qin Mingmei whispered in a low voice audible enough for only the two of them to hear.

Huo Zilan was still stunned as he shook his head in denial.

Qin Mingmei frowned feeling a little unhappy and jealous wondering who could have such a privilege which was envied by almost every single lady across the globe? It must definitely be a powerful and wealthy lady who was on par with this godlike man.

"I got married a few days ago. My little wife was scared to come because she hated too much attention", Huo Xinhan replied.

Qin Mingmei frowned when she heard his words. Who would be so stupid as to want to hide their marriage from a man like this? If she were the one, she would have immediately announced it to the whole world!

"Little Nine...so you really got married? Then...then when can I meet my daughter in law?", Old Madam Huo had never felt so happy and excited in a long time.

"You unfilial little brat, you dared to hide such an important matter from us", Old Master Huo glared angrily at his favorite son.

"My little wife didn't want anyone to know then, I did not want to go against her wishes", Huo Xinhan replied somewhat softly.

"But Ninth uncle, you've never dated anyone so how did you suddenly get married?", Huo Zie spoke up, feeling curious about who her aunt might be.

Everyone immediately glanced at Huo Xinhan once more, hoping to hear his explanation.

The Huo couple were also curious after all their son had never had a female companion by his side except for his older sister who had been abroad for years now.

"That's because I was chasing after my little wife but she was not yet ready back then", Huo Xinhan replied calmly with a hint of smile.

Everyone at the table were more than shocked once more.

A powerful person like Huo Xinhan had actually chased after a girl? And she had said she was not ready? Who was this? Was she so proud that she had the guts to turn down Huo Xinhan who was sought after by so many wealthy ladies across the world?

Huo Zie had not actually expected a reply from Huo Xinhan after all he had rarely ever spoken to her for even once!

Old Madam Huo was slightly stunned, her youngest son rarely spoke so much but today he had spoken a lot and it was because of his mysterious wife. Who exactly could cause such a change in her cold-hearted son? She was so curious and could not wait to meet this daughter in law of her.

"Alright that's it, I'm leaving", Huo Xinhan stood up and straightened his suit, bowed slightly at his parents and turned around to leave.

"Little Nine wait! Let's talk in my study", Old Master Huo immediately stood up and called out to his youngest.

"Sorry but my wife is waiting for me at home, see you next time", Huo Xinhan walked away without looking back.

"You...", Old Master Huo was furious and speechless! His son actually abandoned him for a woman! Hmph! At least, it was good that his son was finally married.

After a few more words, the old couple left the table and headed upstairs to their rooms.

Huo Zilan said his goodbye to his parents and his other family members and left together with Qin Mingmei.

"Brother Huo, who do you think your uncle must have married?", Qin Mingmei asked curiously. She was not close to the Huo family and her family was not powerful enough so she didn't know much about those powerful wealthy ladies.

"I don't know and I have no idea. My Ninth Uncle never had any female companions by his side so even I am greatly surprised to find out that he's married", Huo Zilan replied.

"Whoever he married must be very lucky just as I am lucky to soon be your wife", Qin Mingmei blushed as she spoke.

"Mingmei, we are made for each other", Huo Zilan smiled meaningfully at her.

Qin Mingmei blushed and softly hit him on the shoulder.

"MingMing, to celebrate why don't we go to my apartment?", Huo Zilan suggested.

Qin Mingmei blushed and pretended to be shy but Huo Zilan knew that she had agreed.

"I'll inform your parents", Huo Zilan parked the car and called the Qin parents to inform them.

After Huo Xinhan left, Qin Mei had gone to the living room which was as large as a cinema and switched on the television.

She held some scripts in her hand and went through them whiles looking at the entrance from time to time.

After almost two hours had passed, Qin Mei yawned once more and leaned against the sofa with sleepy eyes and the scripts in her hand.

Huo Xinhan arrived and saw her in that posture and immediately frowned. He quickly approached her and gently took her into his arms to avoid disturbing her sleep.

Qin Mei muttered something and went back to sleep.

Huo Xinhan walked slowly like never before and took the elevator to their bedroom. He slowly pushed open the door to the master bedroom and gently placed her on the bed. After tucking her into the covers, he kissed her on the forehead before heading into the bathroom.

Soon, the two were cuddled in each other's arms comfortably and peacefully sleeping.

In Huo Zilan's apartment and bedroom, two bodies were entangled against each engrossed in a hot round of passion.

The sound of soft and shy voices could be heard making one's mind run wild and blush.
