Everyone was panicking. If Rose was poisoned, what would happen next? She had so many bad experiences in the past, and it seems that who is after her finally got her.

So everyone is depressed. If the rogues attack now, they will be destroyed.

“Who did something like this, young alpha?” a warrior asks when Jesse finally exits his tent after Faith was put back in bed.

Jesse just sighs and with tears in his eyes he says.

“We suspect that her ex-mate, that rogue that we have kept him captive since this war started. He tried to kill her in our pack.

“But he is captive!” someone else says.

“And what?” Mike simply stops the man from questioning Jesse. “He had help.”

“WHAT?” everyone asks in panic. “We’ve been betrayed?” and they started to look one at each other and doubt began to appear in their hearts.
