Heartstrings

Liam groaned as he began to stir in his sleep. His entire body ached. The heaviness in his heart was still there but he could do nothing about it.

His hammering head wasn't helping the situation either. The prince struggled to open his eyes. The cool breeze helped him feel a little better on the outside.

As his lids pulled apart, his heart stopped beating for a second. His body froze as he forcefully opened them. His breath hitched. It
