Megan refreshed herself and walked out of the washroom to see Mia sitting on the couch with a worried face... Daniel stood there with his mobile try to call someone, Megan saw the siblings in astonishment, and asked,
"Is all ok guys... why do you both look so devastated"
Mia looked up at Megan and said,
"Megan did you knew there's going to be a party this evening....and"
"Yaa, I know, it's a wedding eve party, what's with that... Mia, why are you so worried"
"Megan, I don't have a dress for that, I came with some casuals and party wear for tomorrow evening, but I didn't know there's a party even tonight..."
she answered Megan in a panic tone... Megan sat next to Mia and looked up at Daniel who was trying to call... and asked
"What are you doing... whom your calling"
"I am trying to call Jack"
"For what... to cancel the party"
Daniel gave a grave look to Megan and said...
"No to check if Ellie as any extra dress"
"Danny... stop calling, we will manage"
"But how... Meg"
"Mr Reid... She's My friend, I know how to take care of her... so you take your clothes and go to Jack's room to get ready, we both will see you at the party hall"
"But...Meg"
"No buts... just go... we will come down on time"
"Ok, Boss..."
Daniel picked his suit, tapped Mia's head, and walked out, Megan smiled at Mia...
"Let's eat first... Mia, I am starving "
Mia nodded and ate with Megan, after finishing their lunch... Megan took Mia to her closet and showed her the evening dress that she had bought... Mia got surprised at what she saw, She finally opened her mouth and asked...
"Megan is this all yours... "
"Yaa, it's all mine... I came from my house, it's from my closet, pick which you like, these four dresses are band new... try which ever you like"
Mia looked few minutes and picked a snow-white A-line, with an elegant split long dress, with Diamonds embodied, a half shoulder dress, Megan gave her a diamond stud, a single string chain, and a bracelet...with a pair of silver sandals.
Megan asked Mia to wear her dress and did her hair, it was a tussel bun, with few bangs left on the sides.... she did her makeup, and Megan took a quick shower and wore her dress... and did her make up left her hair loseand walked out with Mia hand in hand...
Daniel waited for Megan and Mia down, with Ray and Riley, Jack and Ellie were welcoming their guests... Jack wore a Midnight Blue Embossed Italian Tuxedo Suit, and Ellie was in her elegant shoulderless, sequence, back open, high necked, fishtail dress, The couple looked stunning...
Ray stood there with Daniel, as he was talking to Riley, Daniel smiled and walked towards the elevator, Ray didn't pay much to what Daniel was doing, but when the elevator door opened, he first saw Megan walking out with a golden satin ruby embodied high neck, full sleeve, back open, ankle-length dress, with her long hair opened loose, that float in the breeze ... she looked very beautiful like always, Ray and Riley smiled at her, the next moment, Ray stood there unmoved by next person who came out of the elevator, Mia came out and smiled at Daniel, Daniel too was stunned when he saw his sister, who looked so beautiful... he never has seen her so beautiful, whether her makeup will be clumsy, or hair messed up, this was the first time everything was right..and Mia looked a stunner.
Ray was like an ant on the hot pan, he was not able to take the tournament of being near Mia but pretend to ignore her, act arrogant to push her away... he just acted as if he as not seeing her, as he said walked to the party hall...
"I will wait for you guys, in the party hall, I will get some drink... it's so boring here"
Mia's awaited Ray's praise... but the way he behaved, literally hurt her so much... it was even difficult to act to smile by her, Daniel held both the ladies in his hands and walked with them into the party hall,
Seeing them, Aunt Felix, asked...
"God bless me... who's this beautiful lady"
Megan and Daniel smiled and said
"Aunt, this is my sister... Mia"
"Oh Danny, you never said that you had such a beautiful sister, I will introduce some handsome, rich suitors to her... "
"Aunt... please, Mia's Mom, have to agree to that, so let it be..."
Megan stopped Aunt Felix from speaking, and she introduced Mia to as many people she as known, and finally came to Ray and Riley's table, and sat there with them with Mia, Daniel was busy taking care of their class buddies.
Megan asked, Riley about his girlfriend,
"Hai Riley, what happened with your girlfriend... Felcy, what you said"
"I took Felcy to lunch at Sun resort and proposed to him with a diamond ring, and she was happy, and I am meeting their parents next week"
"Oh... Wow, that's great..."
but both Megan and Riley didn't notice the other two on the table... Mia was stealing looks at Ray, and Ray was trying his max, not to see Mia... Finally, the MC invited all the couples, to the Dance floor, Daniel walked elegantly to Megan and cut on his knees, stretched his hand and asked...
"Miss Felix...My love, do the honour by gracing me with a dance"
"Pleasure is mine...Mr Daniel Reid"
Megan walked gracefully with Daniel, after few steps she turned to her both friends and said...
"Any one of you, take Mia to dance, this is her first time in a party like this, take good care of Sister-in-law... or I will kill you guys"
"Yes My Lady"
Riley said while holding Ray... Mia looked at her brother, called...
"Danny...can I....."
"It's all fine, these two guys are Megan's most trusted friends... so don't be scared, it's ok"
Daniel said, and went to the dance floor with Megan, Jack and Ellie did the open dance, after that all the present couples joined them on the dance floor, Daniel danced with Megan, Megan turned to see who was escorting Mia... Riley was dancing with Mia, he was telling her how to dance... how to change steps, because all this was new to Mia, and Ray stood at end of the dance floor with a glass of Red wine in his hands...
Ray finished his drink and left his glass with the waiter, and turned to walk out... Riley rolled Mia, and Mia rolled on the dance floor, lost her balance when she was about to fall... Ray stepped on the dance floor and caught her firmly... so she doesn't fall, The last piece of music started at right time... and Ray had no chance to leave the floor, and he held Mia's waist... Mia's body stiffened, and she looked at Ray, Ray took her to the centre of the floor and danced with her, Mia was so happy to be near to him...
Ray was confused, but literally enjoyed, each second of his existence.... this was the first time he was so happy after that incident had happened, he was surprised by himself, that he was happy... so happy, he hated that he was acting that he didn't like Mia... Ray thought to himself while looking at Mia's face.
"actually Mia you swept away the ground under my feet... the first time I saw you, when you opened that door of your house and looked at me with that, dark big eyes.....of yours"
Megan saw the difference in Ray's look, and doubted, the girl that Ray was talking to was it Mia... the music stopped and all bowed, Ray let go of Mia, and walked past all fast as he can to the exit, Megan excused herself from Daniel and ran in her 3inch heels, behind Ray...
Daniel shook his head, while Mia walked to Daniel with a red hot face, she was blushing, Daniel asked..
"Enjoyed..... "
Mia nodded and held his hands, Megan who ran behind Ray, saw him get into his car, but Megan caught up with him before he can drive away...
"Ray, stop right there, if you leave... this is the end of our friendship"
Ray stopped and turned to see Megan running towards him, he closed his car, and came to Megan...
"What's it, why are chasing after me"
"Ray... swear on me and tell, it's Mia... the girl you like, right"
Ray looked at Megan with a panicked face...
"Megan, how did you.... how did you.... find out"
As they both were talking Riley, came behind them, and asked...
"What's it, what are you both talking about... what am missing here Megan"
Megan looked at Ray, and then at Riley, Ray shook his head and said,
"A girl distracted me... so, Megan was confronting, me...that's all"
"That's all... you were distracted by a girl...who is she... Megan do you know her... tell me Megan... I swear on me... please...."
Megan looked at Ray apologetically... and turned to Riley and said....
"Mia...."
