Finally Proposed (Part 1)

I was fast asleep when I heard my phone ringing... It was midnight, I was wondering who the hell is calling me if Jack had called me without any good reason, he's going to be dead in my hands. I picked the call, and asked, "who's this" in a sleepy voice, I was so drowsy, as there was no reply for few minutes, I just wanted to hang up, then I heard, " Happy Birthday" Daniel, have a great year ahead, wish all your dream come true. OMG, it was Megan..... it was really Megan, I am dreaming..... I sat up, then I said, "Thank you" Megan, I was so surprised, just wanted wings to fly to her. I missed her so much, even though it was a few minutes with her, that was my Lifeline, as we spoke, Megan said let's hang up, I was so panicked, I want to keep talking to her, listen to her voice, which was sweet as honey, after some time, I didn't have any thought in my head, just I wanted to tell Megan, what I felt for her, and confess to Megan, how much I love her. I never thought that I was proposing to her, but I felt I was explaining to Megan how much I love her, and I will work hard to keep her happy, I was so scared if she denied my love for her, I didn't give her time to reply, I just said, " There is no hurry I will wait for you." and hang the call. and breathed a sigh of relief.

The next day Becka called and wished me, " Happy Birthday Daniel", I have...., before she finished her sentence I cut her by saying "Thank you, I had to go" and hang the call.

When I came out of my room, my mom, and Mia wished me, my elder brother tapped my shoulder and said, "have a great Danny", my dad wished me, with a small gift, it was a gift voucher from a big store in our City, it was the first time he as given me this kind of gift, Jack was in Grandparents place, so he didn't call me,

That's all my birthday was over, this much only is big in our family, we don't have this grand birthday parties. Surprises for Birthday, this year biggest surprise for me was, the call from my little goblin, and more surprising was I confessed my love to her.

My exams got over, I joined another part-time job in a gym, as an instructor, it was from 5:30 to 8:30 am, I was happy to get more money, I was ready to take anything to give a life she deserved.

I was well paid, I had gathered money for my New Bike, but I wanted to buy the bike, Megan liked, I called Olivia to ask which bike she liked, Her phone was ringing, Olivia picked the call, "Hello, Who's this".

Hi, It's me, Daniel, How are you?

Olivia was happy to hear from me, she said,

"Brother Daniel, I am good, how are you, did you get your special person call on your Birthday.." and she chuckled.

I just kept quiet for few seconds and told her what happened, she was quiet now...

Then Olivia asked, " Brother Daniel", don't you think it was a little hasty for you too, just tell Megan you liked her, she would have expected a proper proposal like other girls. Her question made me think I have done something not appropriate, then I thought I need to talk to Jack about it, Jack had been to his grandparents home for his vacation, it's a remote Island, so it was difficult contacting him for few weeks, he will come in a couple of days.

After some thinking, I asked Olivia, "Olivia, Which bike Megan like", Olivia without thinking gave me the name of her favourite Bike.... K****ki, I thanked her and hang up the call.

I was reckoning on what to do, I have yet not saved that much money to buy the bike she liked, I needed few more thousands for K****ki, what should I do, I was in my thoughts when Jack called me, "Hi Buddy" I am finally back from that jungle, how are you man, wait for me down, I will be there in five minutes to pick you up, I told my Dad, that I am taking you out, He as granted you leave today, just be down in five minutes, bye..

I got ready with casual wear and wore a shipper, and walked down when my mom was like,

"Why didn't you speak properly to Becka on your birthday, she was really upset" and where are going now, you look so lost nowadays, even Jovel was complaining that your not calling him.

I was listening to her and didn't want to argue with her, so just kept quiet, after all, her complaints were finished, she looked at me, I just smiled at her, and said, "Done, great, I am going out with Jack, will be late bye" My mom was shocked at my reaction towards her grumbling, I always reason about what had happened, or at least ask her to settle down explain her not to worry I will take care of whatever bothering her, but this time l felt, it was not mandatory to give her reason, for all the things I am doing. I walked down to my apartment, I saw Jack coming.

Jack stopped his bike and hugged me, Belated Birthday Buddy, I missed you man, I just smiled at his mumbling, he was so cheesy, but I liked it when he does that, it looks funny, He took me to Mall, we both wandered around the place, I took out the gift voucher my Dad had given, showed it Jack and said, "Come on Jack let's go to this shop and see what we can buy". As we both entered the store, I was taken aback by its amazing decoration, collection of clothes and accessories. It was my first time at this store, Jack recommend me to buy Jeans and t-shirts, I was in a dilemma about what to buy, as I passed, saw a Black suit I liked it very much, I asked Jack, " How about this" he grinned at me and nodded his head. But I thought for some time, I put it down and went to buy daily wear, as we will be in our university, I needed decent clothes for regular use. We both finished my shopping, it was Jack, who selected formal shirts and pants, I bought nearly seven shirts and three pairs of pants and a Denim blue Jean.
