Storming their target

REESE

I froze taking in the sight before my eyes. It was Caden entering the room and luckily for me, he was dressed fully.

What was I expecting? Some romance scene whereby he's shirtless?

I felt amused thinking about it as he shut the door slamming it loudly.

Don't tell me this is his room too.

He fixed his jacket before walking to the door. He paused and lifted his head.

"Don't leave this room no matter what. Spend the evening reading the file on the desk. Don't try anything funny. Clean up and sleep off." He said coldly.

I weirdly felt that he said; 'Clean up and sleep dead.'

"I can go wherever I want. You're not the boss of me." I replied flipping my hair.

"Stop." He muttered and I rolled my eyes.

"Stop what?" I asked folding my hands.

"Stop acting like a little bîtch. You just met me, how can you be these tough and stubborn?" He questioned opening the door.

"Great. Now you know you shouldn't order me around." I surly said.

"We'll see about that, Anoscos." He left the room slamming the door again like he wanted it to deafen me completely.

I rushed to the door and locked it up. I didn't care if he was still there. He almost scared me when he stepped out of the bathroom. That was mad creepy.

After taking a bath and dressing up, I laid on my bed braiding my hair like I always liked it.

'Kill Caden by all means...'

I scoffed. Just one method can end him. With the way he's acting, I might just kill him now.

I finally completed braiding my hair and I spent a long time reading the details in the file. I first of all got a hold of a long paper that was headed; Rules to follow as my wife. I flung the paper and it rested under the bed. I will be too bored to read it.

I faced the rest of the things in the file. It was some sort of information concerning a mission they came here for. I didn't understand some parts but at least I knew what they were after.

I've not yet seen Caden's underboss and I wonder what he'd look like. Probably old and annoying like the consigliere.

"You've done a good job, Reese." I whispered closing the file.

I was happy to finally get some sleep but the loud bang on the door made me jolt up from the bed. I cussed under my breath as I ditched the bed and made a swift walk to the locked door.

I unlocked it and pulled the handle open. I gasped softly seeing Caden at my door - worse, he was covered in blood and from the looks of it, it wasn't his blood.

He walked his way into the room and I shut the door seeing that there were no guards outside the door anymore.

Don't tell me they were standing there in the first place because of Caden. You've got to be kidding me.

I retreated back in and found him taking off his bloody jacket.

"Red sticky disgusting blood looks good on you." I complimented and for the first time, he smirked at me.

"I was torturing someone." He replied and I felt less bothered instantly.

"Why would you do such a job yourself? Where are your substitutes?" I queried more.

"Why are you even in my room?" I asked irritatedly.

He gave me a cold glare like he would rather kill me than answer my question. I still maintained a stupid curious look when I should have been scared.

"I do whatever I want. Don't ever question me. Ever." He replied with a scalding gaze.

I slowly got back on my bed while he pulled off his shirt too. He had a black singlet which covered up his chest but it still didn't hide his impressive physique.

"Wash them and bring them to me first thing tomorrow morning. Make sure they're very dry." He stated heading towards the door.

I leaped out of the bed and stood in front of him.

"I'm not your servant. I'm not touching that." I said folding my arms.

"I'll hurt you if you don't do as I say." He threatened before walking out of the room.

Yup. I let him leave because there was no need talking too much. He's going to return back to his dirty clothes.

I shut the door and went to bed hoping I'd dream about how I'd successfully kill him off.

"Your breakfast." I heard right outside and I hurried to open the door. It was a lady dressed as the receptionist and was with a cart containing food.

She entered slowly pushing the cart.

"Leave it there." I told her and she nodded, leaving immediately.

I was quick to have my meal and get dressed in my favorite fighting uniform. I left the room to have a look around the beautiful hotel.

Who knows, I might find my cold icy husband on the way.

I shuddered. I can't believe I'm married. A week ago, I was clubbing with my brothers and playing games at a casino. I had an easy life.

I took the elevator to the ground floor and I was able to see the map of the hotel. Yes, bowling center.

Who wouldn't love bowling.

I took the instructions of the map and found the place. It was free too.

So petty.

There were a number of people bowling and were hanging around the center.

I took a green bowling ball and headed to the rail. Unfortunately, someone bumped into me thereby spilling his drink.

"I'm so sorry." He said and I didn't waste time in giving him a glare.

Hold on... His face was very familiar.

"Reese?" He called my name first.

"Zane." I called his and he chuckled.

He was also a student at a training camp my father forced us to go to. We became friends there. The relationship didn't last since my father took away our phones and replaced the numbers so we wouldn't be distracted by people.

"How have you been?" I asked and he let out a deep frown.

"What are you doing here, you should be in your room. The boss won't like this." He said shocking the light out of me.

How did he know?...

"Zane." A voice called. A very familiar Caden voice.

We both looked sideways to see Caden standing with his hands in his pocket and an impatient look.

He drew close to us.

"Why the hell did you disobey me?!" He barked with a livid look on his face.

"Why you're here having fun, I'm supposed to stay in my room all day?" I asked giving him the same energy.

"Reese, we are in the middle of a mission. Our major target is here, you have to lay low and let us carry this out." Zane said worriedly.

Oops, what have I walked into.

I glanced at Caden and his eyes was simply, fire. The anger visible in his eyes could bring down a building. But I didn't care. Why didn't he tell me in the first place?

"Fine. Just go and carry on with your mission." I muttered walking away from them to the bowling rail at the extreme. As I let out the ball, I watched Caden walk to a chair and Zane carry the drinks to someone else at a counter.

I looked around the place carefully and that was when I saw the Vidas soldiers dressed in casual clothes and were stationed all over the place, playing one role or the order.

Their plan is wicked.

I kept bowling and trying not to stand in their way, with whatever they were doing when a man walked up to me. He was tall, huge, bald head,

and with his smile, I saw the good teeth he had.

I noticed that when he stood in front of me, the soldiers, Zane and Caden were staring at me with deep focus. It was too intense. Was he their target?

"Hello, my beautiful lady." He said holding a big glass of orange juice.

"What do you want?" I asked standing properly.

"Just drink with me." He offered gesturing his hand over to a table.

I don't say anything but followed him to the table.
