Skai glared daggers at Damien.
This was one reason why she loved Jared most time. He didn't behave so hot-headedly. More often, he had a calmer head than Damien.
And he didn't look unstable when it came to his actions with her compared to Damien.
She recalled how he was in the past. Aloof, stoic and so bloody indifferent with her. But looking back now, there was a considerable amount of change in Damien.
"What?"
"What?!" Skai's frown turned to pure rage as she marched towards where he stood, ready to slap some sense into him.
She couldn't remain hidden for long. The fact that she was alive meant they could come for her which was why she needed to find the client's name.
"How could you, Damien, we needed him."
"Need," he corrected. Skai halted. She did not see the need for such correction but when Damien's lips curled up at the side, her gaze followed his line of sight.
