His silver hair dangled out before Jared's face came into view.
Badump!
The heavy thumping of her heart increased. Her breath remained ceased. Nothing could have prepared her for this moment.
Skai's fingers on her body reacted quickly, covering up before he got to see more of her skin. By the time she finished, she paused mid-way from covering with the duvet when she realised someone had changed her.
Her gaze darted back to Jared.
'Was he the one? I never counted him as a man who would…' she gulped, unable to complete her thoughts.
Instinctively she wrapped her hands in front of her chest. His deep chuckle made Skai look up and ultimately released the breath she had been holding in.
"You're finally up."
Skai inhaled and exhaled sharply, her eyes never leaving his.
'They were red.' she noted inwardly. 'How come they reverted to blue or does he have a twin?'
