Chapter 86 : It Was A Massacre.

"Hyo, hyo, hyo! Look at you getting your asses beaten. I can't wait to tell Master about this. What a day. What. A. Day!!"

'Another weirdo...And who laughs like that?' I rolled my eyes.

"Piss off! You! Hand me the mana potion, and fuck off!" Berated the weirdo number one.

"Say, say, Master will kill somebody if he finds out we break the encirclement. Tell me, tell me, do you think you can keep your neck if I told him about this?" Teased the weirdo number two, laughing as he roasted the piercings weirdo, AKA weirdo number one.

The fat on his body moved in accordance every time he did so.

Man, he was so fat and flabby; we could see the stacking folds of his skin. And the suit he wore really didn't do him any good. In fact, they were tailored to follow the folds instead of fixing them.

I was so surprised that he could walk, even run, with that much body mass. Magic was wonderful, I guess...

"Are you blind, you fat fucker? He is the Black Nightmare. He's the reason why we fuckin' came here in the first place. Master wants him, you dumb fuck!" Cussed the pierced dude unhinged.

"What did you say to me!? What did you say!!??" The fat weirdo began raving like a madman, taunted by his ally.

'...There are lots of them...'

My senses soon picked up a series of movements, and not long after, group after group of people came in from every direction.

"Shadows! Cease combat." At my command, every last one of them dropped what they were doing in a heartbeat, jumped back, and regrouped.

"Merchant. Change of plan. Go inside and find Spy. When she's done with her job, stay there with James." I ordered.

"But Shepherd!?" Shouted Margareth in frantic.

"He is strong, Merchant. More so than Milord. Have some trust in him." Realizing what I had in mind, James pulled Margareth's hand, dragging her back.

I turned slightly and caught them on the periphery of my vision, nodding. "That's right. I am very strong."

"...Shadows! Protect the Light!" I raised my voice, feeling the rushing adrenaline from the upcoming battle.

"Protect the Light!!!" Answered them back in unison, assuming a wide and firm circle around Margareth and James.

Afterward, they made their way back into the building, with me guarding the rear.

"The hell am I watching? Are you done? My axe is itching for some meat chopping!"

"Um...are you scared...? I think it's okay to surrender...It might hurt a lot later, but rather than wasting your time...it's better to give up...?"

"Hi, handsome~ Can you lower that mask and give me a peek? Just a little. Who knows? Maybe I can put in some good words for Master after he's done playing?"

"Oy! Ya'll just gonna ignore them bitches who ran just now? You useless hunks of freeloaders! Chase them, idiots! Grab them bitches for me!!"

There were too many of these loud motherfuckers, and I didn't feel like engaging in any of their banter.

All I cared about was to keep these hundred or more people standing before me outside of Melkor's auction house. If I so much ignored these bastards who were clearly out for blood, it would be Margareth, James, and the Shadows' lifeless bodies that I'd find on the ground when this was over.

I couldn't have that.

"You have a hundred...? Then how about I give you a taste of your own medicine?" I muttered low.

My brain was running at full capacity, and my senses roared wild.

'Swords, monsters, animals. Multiply them more and more!'

The word magic read the will of my soul, creating the images in my mind and bringing them into reality. I could feel it siphoning my mana pool drastically by the second, and I could surely feel the fruit of my training paying off at this specific moment. Because even after such a grand display of magic, I still have a satisfactory amount of juice to spare.

From my far left and to my right, hundreds of figures emerged from the motionless void into the world.

Flying sword class in trickling lightning, Huge ass boar that breathed out ice, a Chimera that took after the model of my favorite RPG game in my previous world, lions of pure wind, and Helena's lava werewolf. It was awesome...

With the short window frame I had, these were the only unique models I could think of. But by multiplying the numbers and seeing the dumbfounded looks on the enemies' faces, I'd say this was enough.

"Okay. Let's go." I grinned inside, muttering.

And with the wave of my hand, all hell broke loose once more.

Knights swung their weapons to fight back the relentless wave of assaults. Sigils sprung from all over the place, followed by rains of magic. Time crawled by, and more blood wet the ground and bodies began to pile up, forming a small mountain.

"Knights! Get into formation and hold the line. Magicians! Throw everything you have. Cut down the numbers!!" Seeing how I had overwhelmed them by the sheer number of my summons, one of the leaders issued a command.

And it was working, to be fair.

It was rough, but they were able to stabilize themselves by fighting in formations and groups. But sucks for them, I had no plan to play nice whatsoever...

So, taking control of the humongous ominous hammer once again, I swung it mercilessly at the forefront of their formation.

"Barriers!!" Shouted one of them, noticing the shadow of the impending doom approaching.

My hammer bounced back from the impact with the barrier, and it cracked due to the force.

My blessing of danger warned me of the incoming attacks right after that.

I could spot a huge golem sprinting through the ground toward me, followed by hundreds of magic spells that were seconds away from turning me into ashes, and to top it off, the magic from the enemy leaders themselves. Some were big, some elusive, and some were used to enhance the other's magics.

My brain spun so fast that I could almost feel time crawling in slow motion.

'Dispel that. Barrier. Make it strong. Stronger! Summon two mud golems and stop that thing.' And from my strings of command, word magic responded in kind.

A huge axe of ice melted down before it could even touch the tips of my barrier, while the magic missiles that did get to touch it ricocheted away without leaving any significant marks, and then, two mud golems appeared from the ground with only their upper bodies. They tripped the running golem down and cemented their grip on the giant juggernaut, rendering it immobile and useless.

While everything seemed well and all, I couldn't help but notice that the cry of my warning hadn't stopped ringing just yet.

'What is it-' And just when I wondered what it was that I missed, a cloud of purplish smoke rose up from beneath me.

"I got him!! Hyo, hyo, hyo!" With his upper body showing like a freaking mole, the man laughed jubilantly.

Surprise, surprise, it was the fat fucker...Amidst the chaos, he had dug a tunnel through the ground to avoid detection and threw what I presume to be a poison at me.

'Yeah, I can't stand his laugh...Squeeze!' I clawed the air, aiming at the ground right where the weirdo popped up.

"Guargh! No, no! NO!!!" He vomited out blood as the ground crushed his body alive. He tried to fight back, releasing his mana to the ground to disrupt my control, but we all know how the story would end...

'Die!' And with one last push, I quashed the man flat and let the ground swallow his remains whole.

BUZZ!!

The blessing of danger blared severely, more than ever.

'Wind dome! Eject the poison out of my system.'

A huge dome of ravaging zephyr covered me, blasting the poisonous smoke away from me.

Then I began gagging and vomited out a yellowish bile from my mouth.

With my blessing calming down, along with my nerves, I took a deep breath before going back at it again.

'Lasers!' Taking advantage of the enemy's lack of vision of me, I issued a command to catch them by surprise.

With the help of my enhanced senses, finding where the enemies were posed little to no problem for me.

The sound of the lasers intersecting, drilling through the enemies, and the collapsing bodies ensued in the moment. And what followed after was the eerie silence of the aftermath.

Finding that the warning from my blessing had stopped buzzing entirely, I took a quick moment to slow down my agitated mind. And then, I made sure to do a quick check on how my mana pool was faring.

'I'm still good, but it's better to be careful.'

Considering that Pepe was still alive and kicking inside the building, I'd be an idiot to empty my tank here against his goons.

Thus, with the overwhelming difference between what remained of the enemies and my undying arsenals, I weeded the rest out, hunting them one-sidedly as efficiently as possible.

What once came out as words of mockery and taunts from their mouth had now turned to shrieks, pleads for their soon-to-be lost lives.

Did I spare them?

No...

It was a massacre.
