Will we ever stop saying that? I don't think so.
Bringing me closer to the edge of the island, he pressed his torso on me and kissed me hard. "I also have a thing for doing it when angry, and it's good, since getting you angry is sooo easy. I'm glad you enjoy how I do it, beautiful, because it would break my heart if you didn't."
"There's no way I wouldn't," I nuzzled my nose on his, eyes closed. "You were right, I do have dirty thoughts about you all the damn time. In fact, even before I gave in when you cornered me in my dorm, I fought with Jack because he kept telling me I was being stupid, denying myself what I wanted."
As I opened my eyes, his were on mine. Intense. Searching.
"You. To be even more honest, a little before you appeared on my door, Jack was telling me to stop cock-blocking myself. He complained about how I kept having a ton of dirty and filthy thoughts about you, from the second our eyes met. Which, I mean, was overwhelming as bloody hell."
He kept silent, waiting as if he knew there was more. A grin on.
"It was even more overwhelming because you were the first guy I met and I knew in my bones what we were at first glance. I mean, what's the bloody possibility of the first boy I met being my bloody mate?" I leaned back, my hands on the marble behind me, arching my body behind, but giving him a good view of me. "Cosmos isn't a guy in my eyes, he's a devil who raised me. A devil-dragon, who was awesome and cool, but you know, ruthless. The father I had. Though if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't be the badass I am," I said condescendingly.
"Then there's mom, grandma dearest, demonic step-mother. All females. Let's add Abellona and Hanna to the list. Humans don't count, they are… like… ants," I chuckled. "And their smell is disgusting. Those 3 days in their middle while traveling from Everest to here, was hell. I washed my body fifty times when I got to Hanna's village in Iceland, before I came here with her. Oh, and she's soooooooo head over heels for Cosmos."
"Yes, he's a devil with good-looks, but the nymph is obsessed. I do prefer her with him, it would be cool, I like her. She was kind to me and even made it possible for me to have Jack," I rolled my shoulders. "Who must be in my roommates company right now. So, I technically met five people, I consider people, before I opened the doors of this place in my grand entrance at the sound of Centuries by Fall Out Boys, all badass, with a bloody Wolpertinger on my side, and using telekinesis to go through all of them and land gracefully in front of Mia!"
He bit down a smile, "You have a taste for drama, that's obvious."
I ponded then nodded, "Blame Cosmos, that devilish dragon is sooo dramatic, I got my main-character-syndrome from that arsehole. But it was an amazing entrance. You would know if you had been there, but no, you had to come later like a Princess," I mocked.
Oliver scoffed, "And am I supposed to be offended? Princesses are so cool, and let's remember, I am a Prince," he winked. "And I've heard!"
"What?" I asked kind of lost.
"About your grand entrance. You clearly don't know it, do you?"
I frowned, "What is there for me to know?"
"Mia, knowing the future, knew you would be coming, and she told the entire body of students, even the kids, to go to the entrance hall for you to have a… warm welcome," what?
"I… I thought you were normally gathered there or whatever."
Oliver giggled softly, "No, beautiful. Everyone was curious about who was the mysterious physically 17-year-old girl who managed to get the Supreme Queen Meredith of the Ministry and the Dragon Court, to send her here, out of no-freaking-where, days after the classes of the seniors started. As you may know by now, everyone who's here, is here since they were 7-8 years old, so you were new meat, totally unexplored space." He licked his fangs sensually, "I mean, not anymore."
I slapped his chest, "Arsehole."
"But seriously, beautiful, everyone was talking about you before you even came here. Speculating who you were, where you came from, why you would be coming now, why you didn't join 10 years ago, if you were a dragon, how long had you been under Meredith for her to do this, why she kept you a secret when no one knew about you, and lot of other things. Everyone wanted a look on the new girl, and they were all waiting for you to come when you did."
Clicking my tongue, I rolled my eyes, "How boring. And I thought I had been a surprise guest." Narrowing my eyes, I glared at him, "Then why weren't you and the Circle there if she told everyone to be there, then?"
"To make a point!" Oh yeah?
I scoffed, "And what point was that?"
"That you were nothing to the strongest student in here."
That took a sincere laugh out of me, "And where did that get you, huh?" I chuckled hard.
"In bed with you?" He tilted his head.
"You are a bastard."
"And so are you," he scoffed.
But taking into consideration… "I actually am a bastard," I gasped. "Mom was never married to Russell, even though they were mates, and after she died, he married Philippa. So, I guess that does makes me a bastard in the literal meaning of the word. That what people call kids out of a wedlock in the new world, right?"
"I don't think your case counts, beautiful!"
I arched my eyebrows, "No?"
"If we take it that you are 2057 years old, your frozen time in these last ten years aside, you are 1703 years older than Agost and 1840 years older than Nicolette. Your father only married Philippa when she got pregnant with Agost, they had stayed engaged for centuries, and it was a political marriage for… bloodline purity and those shite that Meredith believes in. Russell refused to marry her until she got pregnant, so, they only married 360 years ago. It definitely doesn't make you a bastard, beautiful," what?
"My father refused to marry her for that long?" A nod.
"That was common knowledge. No one knew why, though. Now I know," he pointed to me. "It was because he was mated to your mom. I don't think he knows about you, by the way. I've met him, that makes kind of weird that now I'm mated to that guy's daughter. Russell emanates Royal power, but he's like a ghost, looks dead-dead-dead inside, even I got all weirded out the times I saw him. Again, it makes sense, since he must have felt his mate dying through the bond and fell into despair," his eyes got all dark and I gulped. "And he only married her to avoid a Royal scandal."
I don't even know what to do with this. "I thought… I don't know what I thought, but it definitely wasn't this. And… and the kids?"
He gave me a oh?-now-you-want-to-know? look, "He doesn't even speak with them, Hel. We've also seen in some occasions how he just acts as if they are a burden. He's never near Philippa either. The kids are both closer to her, but just a bit, since she is always working for Meredith, as her lackey number 2, as Cosmos has the top spot. Meredith also neglects them entirely since they left stasis, but before, during their first 5 years, they both said she pretended to like them."
Nausea took over my stomach like a vine.
"After stasis, she apparently spent the two years that followed on a soft torture mode, nothing like yours, but definitely torture. All to learn their powers from inside out and see if it was something she found to be worth her attention, like Felix's. Then, they spend two months recuperating before being sent here with Felix," that fucking bitch.
Not being able to hold it, I jumped from the island and ran to his bathroom, then to the toilet seat, where I pushed my hair away to puke all I had eaten earlier. His blood included. And because of my unwillingness I have also been neglecting these poor kids, when I'm supposed to be their older sister, in the same way Oliver is for River and the Circle kids.
Oli came to me and held my hair softly, "It's okay, babe."
"No," I cried when I was done and he helped me get up and go to the sink to wash my teeth with the green toothbrush he got me, on the side of his red one. "It's not okay. I'm a bitch," I closed my eyes, "A bitch."
Sigh, "You are." Gasping, I glared at him. "Honesty first, babe."
After I washed my teeth, I washed my face again. All without one glance at the mirror, ignoring it altogether. "Ugh. Do they know?"
"Know what?" He tilted his head.
"That I'm their sister!" When he looked away, I stiffened up. "Do they know, Oliver? Do they know I'm their sister?"
Taking me off the ground, he carried me to the island in front of his wardrobes in bridal style, just like I carry Felix. "They suspect it. They've been trying to talk to you about it, but well, you've been doing an amazing job at ignoring and neglecting your little siblings."
The bastard is purposely making me feel guilty. "Are you sure they don't have a deep bond with Philippa, Oliver? Because if they do, this ain't happening. So, are you bloody sure?"
"Babe," he came between my legs again, "Philippa helped Meredith on torturing them when they woke up. She talks to them and comes to the Academy events to create a false impression of a bond, to be political and act as the mother-of-the-year. When she comes, she corners them and keeps saying shite like the fact that they are weak, not training enough, not doing their duty, not being useful, not being enough to get their father attention. In fact, it's underlined, but they know they were made for her to grasp your father on a leash with marriage. She did it, but she doesn't have him, and neither does her kids. So, she does all she can to have Meredith's attention."
I covered my mouth, suddenly nauseous again. "Fuck."
Sigh, "Yes. In fact, all heirs of the great families in here, have some fucked up family issues. But the Dragon and the Vampire Courts are with no doubt, the best at traumatizing the new generations!"
"No shite," I reached, bringing him to my arms. "What do I do?"
