"Tell me I did not just hallucinated that." Mr. Yves mumbled.
I gulped, "As crazy as it sounds, it felt very bloody real."
"Did you understood what it said?" He gasped.
Let's feign ignorance, "Not at all. I don't remember much from the time my mom was with me. I was very little."
But only the teacher believed my shite, that was obvious by how those arseholes glared at am, saying I'm full of bullshite with their eyes. And I mean, I am full of bullshite. "I just met a Black Sìth called Nacht!" He gasped in pure shock and awe. "You must really be special aside from your kind, if such a mythical being came after you, Wilhelmina. I feel very amazing for being your professor," he grinned and turned around, back to the front, beaming like a golden retriever dog.
["Quite the simple minded vampire!"] Right?
"You got it, beautiful?" Oliver whispered on my ear.
I grinned, "Of course. Easy peasy," I whispered back, winking.
"Only someone who doesn't know you like Yves, would believe that shite you just pulled," Rio whispered mockingly behind me and both Felix and the Circle agreed with him. "So, where are we going and when?"
That got me laughing, "We are not going anywhere," I whispered only for them to hear. "She's only waiting for me and the vampire here. So, give up. You're not going. And I'm not telling you, because with that big mouth of yours, cotton candy baby blue hair, it's easier for you to scream to all users of Eclipse where we'll be going, than keep it quiet."
I could tell Yumi and Savannah laughed at that, as I'm already used to all of their weird laughs. "I told you she was still mad," Yumi said.
"Aye, this is different," he groaned. "I can keep secrets very well."
"I don't trust you," I scoffed.
"You brought this to yourself," River mocked him.
"Come on, Hel, don't be like this. We want to help!"
I rolled my eyes at his insistence, "Yeah? Too bad. She did not ask me to bring anyone else but Oliver."
"Whoever she is, I don't think she would mind if you brought some friends with you," Felix grinned, clearly wanting to go with us too.
"I don't think she would," both me and Oliver exclaimed together, then we shared a tense look. Both understanding that we're talking about one of the ancient primordial Goddess and not a normal female.
Dimity groaned, "What are you two hiding from us?"
"Shut up, baldy," I countered.
"I. Am. Not. Bald," as he said that, his Russian accent got stronger.
I grinned condescendingly, taking advantage that he couldn't see my face as he's behind me with the others, "And again, I see no hair in your shiny head. No hair = baldy shiny head!"
Even Yuliana, his girlfriend, burst our laughing. "Sorry, babe."
["Mia and the wardens are near!"]
I frowned, "What? Near where? Our class?"
"Who's near?" They all whispered on my back and sides.
"Jack told me Mia and the wardens are coming here," I whispered. "Are you sure, Jack?" When he nodded, I turned to Oliver who was also frowning. "Wasn't Mia out in a meeting with the Ministry?"
"She was!" He exclaimed and I could tell we all tensed up.
["They are here!"]
Not even a second after that, a knock came from the door and the professor turned on his heels and went to open it. When he did, there they were. Mia, warden Atticus, and warden Micah, the lion shifter, who's Elsa's uncle. "Headmaster? You're back already? What can I help you with?" He's definitely one of my favorite professors in here.
"Sorry to interrupt your class, Hugo. I wouldn't have come if this wasn't important," as she came inside, Atticus and Micah closed the door, both with the batons they each bought from me on their hips, and both gave me a soft nod when our eyes met, so, I nodded back. "So, my dear seniors of the highest rankings in Belladonna," she tuned to us. "How are you all doing?"
I chuckled, "Right now? Anxious. Noon, Headmaster Mia, but could you cut the chase and tell us what happened?" She grinned amusedly at my lack of patience, but said nothing.
"Alright, I'll be brief," she arched her eyebrows at me and Oliver. "I know the agreed was that this year you seniors would be able to be chose not to be part of the festivals, except for Northern Lights, and so you would all be free to not be part of the Lunar Starfall, but the Ministry decided to make an unexpected change, given some unexpected events!"
And she glared straight at me when she said that.
"Is that my name now?" I mumbled and everyone let out some soft giggles, even the professor and the wardens.
"Thankfully, you're self-aware, Hel," she grinned. "So, given the appearance of the first winged serpent in millennials, they all decided to test your senior ranking and see if Hel really is as powerful as the legends claim her to be. And they also voted to divide your class is two groups, and," here we go, "they voted on who the two team leaders will be."
I sank deeper into my chair, feeling embarrassed for blowing three of their seven free days for just existing. But they all seemed weirdly overly excited with the idea.
"It must be Hel and Oliver!" They all whispered to each other.
Mia came a bit closer, "The Supreme Dragon Queen Meredith," I visually tensed up like stone and turned ashen pale, "chose Hel to be one of the two team leaders. While King Darius and Queen Violet of the Vampire Court, suggested Oliver, as he's the sole winning leader in the last ten years, and they believed he would be the best to test our little black serpent's strength."
"Boyfriend against girlfriend," Rio exclaimed, "this year is sooooo getting a whole lot more interesting now!" But that only made me even more tenser.
"Is… is Meredith going to come?" I asked haunted.
She softened her eyes, "No, dear. But Cosmos will!"
My overwhelming relief was visible to everyone. "Good," then I let myself grin. "Master will be overjoyed to see me whopping your pupil's arse, Headmaster!" I flashed my fangs and turned to Oliver who was with a that-is-not-going-to-happen look on his eyes. "I am soooo taking that crown out of your head!"
"Yes!" Felix pretty much screamed, his face lightened up with pure joy. "Yes! YESSSSSS!" Even Mia chuckled to that. "You will know what is like to be second place now, you bloody bastard. Yes. Fuck yes, Hel, girl, you better chose me or I'll throw a tantrum."
"And me!" Priya exclaimed. "Let us make him eat dust."
Oliver rolled his eyes, "That joke is old, fairy." Then he passed his long arm on my waist under the table. "I'm going to defeat you beautifully."
I glared at him, "To hell you will. Your crown is mine."
"I'm glad you two are excited, it makes things easier," then Mia made Atticus step on her left near Oliver, and Micah in her right near me. "Which of you will chose first?"
"Beautiful here, will. I'm a gentleman, so, Ladies first!" Aw.
I gave him a soft smile, "You are soooo going to regret this choice." I said as soft as possible, making everyone laugh again. Then, I jumped from my chair and went to Micah who was holding a box with 13 emerald bracelets, while Atticus had the 13 ruby ones. I looked at Mia and she just winked at me, another confirmation that our suspicious of the Maden having lied to Meredith, being true.
"Pick 12 kids in this class, Hel. The top 30 of the entire academy is in here, so the level of the matches will stay high. Now, you can chose and those whose name you call will get up, take a bracelet, and stay behind you. The same will happen for Oliver on his time to chose," easy peasy.
"Don't come at me later for this, Oli," I winked charmingly. "You are the one who told your strategy as a winning team leader for the person who's trying to overthrow you. Your fault," licking my lips, I looked over the list with the name of all the students and ranks. "You forget I was all but raised by a general of warfare," I mocked.
Slowly I made some suspense, looking around with the different adorned bracelet of emerald for the team leader already in my left wrist, thankfully not pressing down on my skin.
"You will give me an aneurysm, Hel. Chose me," Felix cried.
His inquietude made me laugh, "Felix-Gabriel Moore, the emerald dragon," I said dramatically and he jumped out of his seat and ran to me like a child. "Priya Dharni, the fairy," she also screamed with happiness and flew to me with her butterfly-ish rainbow glittery wings. "Kawasaki Yumi, the upper seraphim," her eyes widened, just like everyone else, since she's always been on Oliver's team.
Speaking of him, his jaw dropped, "You stole her," he gasped.
My grin widened, "Stole? Never. I'm giving her an opportunity to win again and be part of a better team," I feigned innocence. "Oh, yeah, and how did you taught me? Yes, twin combo," then I tuned to who's in Nevena's arms, both their eyes in shock, "Kawasaki Shiryu, the upper seraphim, you are mine now."
Professor Hugo let out a loud chuckle, "I love this girl."
Then I turned to blondie and her wolf boyfriend, "Elsa Kayan, the lion shifter," in a second she was here with me. "Noah Solarin, the wolf shifter," and when he came, everyone got static, waiting to see if I would dare to do that. And well, I did, "As Oliver told me, it's good to have two twin combos, no? Come here gorgeous," I smiled at her as she gasped in shock, the same shock adorning my half-brother's face. "Kalisha Solarin, the wolf shifter, you're also mine. Come here."
She took her time, cat walking her way, hand on her mouth, trying to cover her genuine shock, probably because she had no idea I would be here choosing her. "Seems like I'm in a winning team this year," she said after she took her bracelet and went behind me.
"Next, my remaining roommates. Danielle Devereaux, the siren; Dorothy Kaeveney, the succubus demon," thankfully they both seemed very happy to join. "We need a witch. Savannah Santino, you too," she jumped and ran to us.
"Don't scare me like that, I thought you wouldn't choose me!"
I rolled my eyes, "Of course, I would. I know Oliver wanted you. Now, Yuliana Hermawan, the kraken girl," she also beamed when she came to me, got her bracelet, and got together with the girls. "Last one," I clicked my tongue, keeping it silent for a second, even though I had already chosen to pick the elf. "Shall I pick a vampire?" I grinned and they all stared at each other, as if scared that I would divide their little bunch, even Oliver. "Hell nah, I have had enough of them. Elf it is. Come here, Melvin Ambrose!"
["Their faces are priceless,"] he chucked.
As I planned. Oliver was kind dumb to tell me his strategy.
Yes, I'm the evil bitch who took away both her siblings' partners, and her boyfriend teammates. Everyone's shock is definitely screaming that, even though they don't know they are my siblings, except Oliver and probably Mia. Yeah, definitely Mia.
Melvin took sometime to come as he froze when I called his name, but then he came, kind of shy, and took the last emerald bracelet. "I never thought you would pick me, Hel, but thanks. I've also never been in a team that had actual chances of winning, given that Oliver always took the win."
He growled getting up in his full height and coming to me, and as I'm using heelless boots, he's totally towering me like a titan. "I'm still going to win. Though I confess, babe, you took me off guard!"
"You think only you can play dirty?" I stared up at him.
"I'm glad that's not the case. And that's also why, I hope you won't get mad at me for what I'm going to do," then he picked his team leader ruby bracelet and grinned at me sensually. "My vampires, a shifter, siren, incubus demon, light witch, and dragons. Also having some twin combo. Yes, that will do."
["Dragons? He doesn't mean what I think he does, right?"]
"Yes, I do, Jack," he grinned and I gasped, glaring at him.
He can't be serious. He wouldn't dare!
"Beautiful like to put up some dramatic act, I'll be quick," bloody bastard. "I'll call you and you will come to me. River, Rio, Irene, Nevena, Dimitry, and Igor." Instantly, the Circle all faded to stand in front of the box Atticus's holding, then they took their bracelets and put them on. "Now, Henrihk, Sabrina, Ivar, and Dora!"
Oliver won't fucking do what I think he will, right?
["Hel, I think he's pissed!"]
Listening to that, he scoffed and turned to me, all bitter, but still so infuriatingly gorgeous it took my breath away. "By stealing my kids, you made me do this, beautiful," he feigned innocence. "So, feel free to get as pissed as you want, you brought this to yourself." And looking at me, he said the last two names, "Lastly, Agost and Nicolette Bloom."
My jaw dropped for a fraction of a second, but I clenched my jaw closed tight right away, fists clenched, as I glared at him bitter as hell. "So, that's how it will be, huh?!"
He glared back, "Yes, babe, that's how it'll be!" Bloody fucker-
