One who accepted

"Master, she is here," The demon said as a middle-aged guy emerged from the shadows.

Raena looked at him as he approached her, then swallowed, and he smiled.

The man was tall, fair, and muscular, with bright green eyes and black hair.

"Raena, you are more beautiful than I could have imagined, my name is Akaz Algroth, and it's nice to meet you," He said as he extended his hand and she shook it.

"Nice to meet you as well, sir," She replied, and he chuckled before pulling out a chair and looking at her.

"The rest of the family is running late tonight, they had other businesses to tend to, please join me," He said then she smiled and sat down.

After placing her to sit, the guy sat down and the demon served them their food, then bowed his head and she looked at him.

"Thank you," She said.

"You are welcome, enjoy your meal," He replied, then she looked at the food which seemed delicious and she smiled before starting to eat.

Due to Raena's hunger, she ate a lot that night and the guy smiled, seeing she was doing just fine and her health was stable.

"Raena, how do you like your new place so far?" Akaz inquired, and she sighed as she looked at him.

"So far, I think it's fine, even though I don't know much about where I am now," She responded and he scoffed.

"Well, currently you are in my home, he brought you here to take care of you after you fell unconscious a few days ago, that was the impact of you being in a completely new environment so it's normal and don't worry, soon enough you will start accepting all of this as your own," He said as she stared at him then smiled.

"I hope so; why are you being so nice to me when you don't even know who I am, sir?" She asked and he chuckled as lightning flashed behind him and his eyes glowed green as she flinched at how frightening he appeared.

"The answer is quite simple because you are now a part of my family, the ones who will help you in this world, the woman you first met was called Esmeralda, I wanted her to contact me when she found the perfect person and she did, so here you are," He responded and she smiled.

"Well, thank you for having me," She said before bowing her head.

"There is no need to do that, we have a lot to talk about Raena, I have already set up your room since it's getting late, you can go relax after this and we can continue talking more about this in the morning, know that most parts of your life will start to change and spread like wildfire and you won't be able to control it that easily, you have a lot to do, that's if you still want to after I finish explaining things," He replied and she smiled.

"I am looking forward to hearing more tomorrow morning; I am interested in learning about these topics as well, and I am grateful for this opportunity," Raena said and the king then sighed and they continued eating their food.

"Raena, there's something you should know about me," Akaz said and she glanced at him.

"Uh... What is it?" She asked, quietly and he smiled.

"I am a high demon, I am a member of the council that was formed to assist the demon king, I am feared by many, but I want you to know that you can trust me, I chose you because I believe you belong here, as do other members of my family, I know it is difficult to trust someone you have just met, but I hope you can one day, until then, I will be right here," He responded as her right arm trembled and she clutched it before exhaling deeply.

'Is he the one mentioned by the woman?' Raena wondered.

[Yes, master, he is the one who accepted you into his family; he is telling the truth.]

"Thank you very much," Raena said, "I will do my best."

"That's more than enough for me," He replied, then she grabbed the glass of juice the demon had poured her and drank it.

Raena was not a trusting person, but for once she was willing to give something a chance because Akaz, despite being a demon, was being sincere.

Raena stood up after they finished dinner when Akaz tapped her on the shoulder before they left the dining hall and she looked at him.

"I know you've only recently arrived here, but do you want to learn more about your new home?" He inquired as she noticed something reflecting on her and saw it was the light reflecting off of a mirror nearby, and her eyes widened as she stared at herself.

"Rena," He said as she passed her fingers through her hair.

Raena became aware that certain aspects of her appearance had changed, including the color of her eyes.

"Is it your appearance, Raena?" Akaz inquired, and she nodded before he smiled.

"You're even more beautiful now, certain things have changed because you're different now," Akaz said, and the demon beside him nodded and she smiled.

"Yes, I'd like to learn more about this world," She replied and Akaz smiled, pleased that she was willing to give her life a chance.

"All right, that's good to know, you get some rest now, we'll talk about it more tomorrow morning and decide what your first move should be, good night," Akaz said.

"Good night," She replied as the demon led her to her room, where she closed the door and took a deep breath before sitting down on the bed.

Rena thought about a lot of things, including what she should and shouldn't do, before looking at how she had changed and going to take a bath.

The girl now had piercing red eyes mixed with purple and silver which was rare, and she still had her curvaceous body, fair skin, plump pink lips, a slim face, and long silky silver hair that reflected a purple hue.
