"Mel, if we stay here any longer, they're going to suspect something is up. You will have the opportunity again in the future, and now you have to go back to the dungeon!"
Shouting for minutes, Kapo said his last words in a whisper. Only he, Mel, and the strewn Chief Creature could hear. Mel was in a trance; Baybars wasn't sure what he said had reached him. Left with no choice but to take risks and make physical contact, he reached out his trembling hands to grip Mel's shoulders, shaking his body that would have been huge for a human, trying to wake him up.
A sigh later, sitting on his ass three feet away, he wasn't even in the mood to consider what a fool he had done. The golden-yellow Earth Energy that had left the Chief Beast's body and passed into Mel's flesh had penetrated him for a second.
