CHAPTER - 64 - NON-EXTINGUISH-ABLE FLAMES OF ERESHKIGAL : PART ①

The red coloured lightning struck down on Vanzel! Slowly, his completely burnt arms and legs started corroding and his entire body, except his head, which he protected at the last second with the help of the heavens slaying sword, turned into dust. Vanzel was loosely stuck between life and death!

MEANWHILE...

As Set saw Razel approaching him, he thought to himself,

"ANUBIS... Looks like I'm in a small bind... I hope you complete your work there, without meeting any difficulty... And if you meet one, then crush it like an ant!"

Immediately, Razel penetrated his sword in Set's abdominal region.

"GWAAAAH!!!!"

Set screamed in pain and agony as the blood came lushing out of his mouth and stomach. Despite being a god, set was able to see his own intestines lurking out of his stomach.

Razel had heard what Set said a few seconds ago. As Razel heard Set, he sat on his knees and brought his face near Set's face and asked him,

"What was that? Would you say it again?"

The once so called arrogant god of storms, Set, replied to the new god of the major elements, Razel,

"That's exactly what you heard... My son Anubis has surrounded your son! Both of you have nowhere to run! *COUGH-COUGH* UGWAH!"

In the middle of completing his talk, Set started coughing up blood. Razel knew that killing a major Egyptian diety would cause an unbalance in the living population of Earth, but, this fact didn't mattered a single bit to him. The thing which mattered to him the most was the uproar of the other Egyptian gods against him which would be caused because of him murdering Set.

Razel got up and created a dimensional portal which connected Razel's land to the ruins of Egypt. Razel used his dark sword to completely cripple Set. He cut off every single one of Set's magical arteries which helped Set in assimilating and manifesting his Gi. After the completion of this process, Razel picked Set up and threw him into the ruins of Egypt with the help of his dimensional portal. Ruins of Egypt were Set's homeland and Razel knew that this would heal Set's life threatening injuries because one's life force is stronger in their territory. Although, there was also a drawback for Set and that was, he would not be able to use his dark Gi ever again.

Razel also warned Set that Navertozwein only takes useful people. Since Set has, along with this battle, lost all of his power except his super human strength, he would only be abandoned by Navertozwein. While the portal's gate was closing, Razel said to Set,

"... Get a life."

MEANWHILE...

The wind blew and carried away Vanzel's dust-like body, only leaving his half-fried head. Anubis got completely excited by this fact and shouted in the air,

"Take that! I won! This battle was won by me! I knew that the heavens slaying sword would definitely have some kind of feature and that is the reason why I taught such a fierce magic to these filthy demons! This type of magic attack combines the energy of all the demons who have formed a circle with three boundaries. They create a huge thunderstorm of demonic energy into the sky which falls directly upon the targeted opponent. Well... Now only thing that's left for me now is to confirm the death of Razel! The father of this imbecile man!"

"You don't have to confirm anything. I'm alive, and standing right behind your back!".

This was the voice of an old man who only has one goal in his life. This was the voice of Razel, the modern god of major elements! As soon as this voice pierced Anubis's ears, he turned back to search for the voice. However, he found nothing and as soon as he turned his face towards front, he saw Razel standing within a few inches to him! Razel leapt forward and said to Anubis,

"Looks like this Razel has got a grasp of you after crippling away your father!"

Anubis got startled with Razel's sudden surprise and jumped a few metres away from him. He was also shocked by hearing about his father's defeat from Razel's mouth. Anubis was a self centred person. He wanted to redeem himself in someone's eyes who is stronger than his father. When he saw that his father had actually given up to a being lower than him, then Anubis realized that all that matters in this world is pure strength.

Razel stared at Anubis and Anubis was sweating heavily because of this tension building up in the air. Anubis ordered his demons,

"What the hell are you all doing?! Bring the heavens slaying sword to me and slay this damn bastard!!"

At a high speed, a demon approached for Razel. Razel knew that he was about to be attacked from behind. Despite knowing this, Razel kept his eyes glued to Anubis.

*SPLASH!!!*

An out of the blue attack torn apart the demon behind Razel into two parts. Anubis finally understood that there are a lot of things behind his understanding. The next thing Anubis knew was that Vanzel had stood up and was doing completely fine! Anubis even saw a demon being torn apart by Vanzel's sword attack. Instead of losing his composure and getting insane like his father, Anubis backed down his demons. Without showing any resistance, he also removed his mummification from those demons, which caused the demons' sudden demise since those dead demons were only alive because of Anubis's ability. Anubis spoke to Razel'

"I am really sorry... I was planning to Navertozwein after defeating the two of you... However, I failed in both of this. I can't go back to Navertozwein as I am right now... I only want to live with my father... And understand the secrets of the universe... Please let me go alive!"

Vanzel closed the distance between him and his father. As soon as he came near him, Vanzel said,

"Father... What should we do?"

Razel replied,

"They are almost like us... Like me and my father... Like me and you... I can tell weather a person is lying or not only by straight facts and this guy right here... Is spitting straight facts! Let him go!"

Razel created a dimensional portal to the ruins of Egypt and said to Anubis,

"I hope you already know that I don't want to fight against Egyptians. I also don't want their assistance... So, I hope you would be neutral."

Anubis replied to him,

"Yes sir. The gods and goddesses who have already been influenced by Navertozwein would be the only ones to attack you both."

After their little conversation, Anubis departed to his homeland and as for Razel and Vanzel, they decided to continue their journey to Navertozwein's land, through a *shortcut*.

Navertozwein watched the entire scenario and he even tried to kill Anubis and Set by sending a greater demon army at their homeland, but those two departed to somewhere safe. However, Navertozwein didn't rested aside. He changed the plans and made the governor of that demon army, ERESHKIGAL, attack the people of Earth, or more like Alcesto and his friends.
