CHAPTER - 32 - THE POISONOUS LAND OF VERGIF OTROV : PART ⑤

After Schwartz ordered his team to commence the attack, the fierce battle between the bridge, which was built by Jae-Hyuk, and the land on which the castle of the hellish god Vergif Otrov, which was being guarded with dozens of higher demons, stood.

MEANWHILE...

Alcesto and Vanzel rushed towards the castle of Vergif Otrov, by levitating, along with Jae-Hyuk, by carrying him into the air. Jae-Hyuk believed in his friends, no, it was too early for him to call them his friends. But, he believed in his comrades. That was the sole reason he was letting them carry his life in their hands. But it was a mutual feeling. As he believed in his comrades, so did they. They took him with them because of their belief in him. The belief that he will be a lifesaver in their hellish adventure.

All the demons were distracted by the disturbance caused by Alcesto's other party members, being led by Schwartz. Alcesto and Vanzel, along with Jae-Hyuk, landed successfully on the proper land on which the castle was built. As Jae-Hyuk wiped the dust from his clothes, he asked Alcesto,

"So...What's our plan, now?"

Alcesto replied,

"This question... Should be answered by Vanzel, yeah!"

Vanzel heard them talking. He turned back and answered Jae-Hyuk's question. He said,

"Actually I don't have any plan. The only thing which needs to be destroyed is this castle. We are going to kill him inside the castle itself."

Alcesto stepped in and asked,

"And... How are we gonna destroy the castle? I mean we can't touch it with our bare hands and we are not sure if we can attack it with our divine energy, then the poison will be conducted or not."

"That's why... I brought Jae-Hyuk with us. He will be using his Earth elemental magic to destroy this castle."

Vanzel replied.

"B-B-but! Wait! Can I really do it?"

Jae-Hyuk asked nervousingly.

"Why the heck are you asking that question from us. If we can believe in you, then why can't you? Just believe in yourself and then get ready to destroy this fu**in' castle."

Alcesto said to Jae-Hyuk. Jae-Hyuk felt ashamed and thought to himself,

"That's right. I have to do it. These people have put their faith in me. I am gonna do it!"

He clunched his fist and once again, he recited the elemental power lending chant. After he completed the recitation, the magic rays which his hand created, started diverging and created the magic circle which was similar to the previous one he formed while creating a pathway to the castle. The magic circle brightened as it collected the energy from the land on which Jae-Hyuk and others were standing. Once the magic circle got over filled with the Earth elemental energy, Jae-Hyuk shot a huge wave which came out from the magic circle. The huge wave of Earth energy which was excreted from the magic circle headed towards the castle. The wave was strong enough to destroy two to three higher demons to ashes. *BAM!* The castle got destroyed. It can't be called a castle now, it looked like an ancient ruin. Jae-Hyuk was relieved, as he found himself to be useful to his comrades. No, now he could call them his friends. As Alcesto wiped sweat from his forehead, he turned back and said to Vanzel,

"Looks like your plan worked out well! Now, shall we head back?"

Vanzel looked him with a half-relieved expression. He stepped forward and said to Alcesto,

"I am not sure yet. We still have one thing to do."

Jae-Hyuk stepped in and asked Vanzel,

"And... What is it?"

"We have to confirm if Vergif Otrov is dead or not."

Vanzel replied.

"And how are we gonna do it? Are we gonna lift up every rubble to find his dead body"

Alcesto asked.

"No. I will search for his dark energy. Feeling the presence of the same type of energy as yours is a feature of sons of gods like us. You can also check for godly energy present in your atmosphere, but since it is dark energy, only I and Deces can do it."

Vanzel replied.

"Aw-Awesome!"

Jae-Hyuk said in awe.

Vanzel closed his eyes and brought his hands forward. He raised his hands in mid air and concentrated with his mind. A little bit of dark energy dispersed at his hands and suspended into the air freely. After a while, he opened his eyes slowly and said,

"There is no presence of dark energy under the rubble. Looks like...Vergif Otrov is dead!"

Everybody took a deep breath of relief. Alcesto gazed at Vanzel and Jae-Hyuk. He smiled and said,

"Well then... Let's go back!"

Jae-Hyuk replied,

"YES... Finally... Finally I can relax!"

As they continued to move, Vanzel stepped slowly and said,

"This is really tiresome... But it's also fun..."

The three of them walked away freely, without any tention.

*SHAAAA...*

Suddenly, a slash sound pierced the ears of Alcesto and Jae-Hyuk. It sounded like someone harmed a hard object, with an extra sharp object. It was also arguable that the sound came from the burning of some kind of metal. As Alcesto and Jae-Hyuk slowly turned to look for the source of the sound, they heard Vanzel's voice. However it didn't sounded like a voice. As they turned and looked at Vanzel, they found him in a dire state. He was spitting blood with his mouth and his left shoulder was melting away, like an ice cube melts in heat. Some kind of greenish liquid was settling on his shoulder. The liquid almost made its way to his neck.

Without wasting a second, Alcesto rushed towards Vanzel and striked the liquid with his godly energy. His hand started shining brightly with yellowish white colour and he clashed it with the greenish coloured liquid on Vanzel's neck. The liquid started evaporating.

Alcesto held Vanzel down and asked him,

"Va-Vanzel. I know that you are not in a state to talk but... Can you please give us a hint about the enemy!"

Vanzel looked at Alcesto and nodded. After nodding, he pointed his finger in the mid air, as if he was trying to point out someone. Alcesto understood his meaning and looked in the sky. There was someone standing, or more like levitating, in the mid air. He was 6.6 feet tall. He was a muscular and buffed guy. His body was covered in some kind of yellowish and greeny semi solid substance. The semi solid, or jelly like substance also acted like a clothe for his body. His face can't be called handsome, since his skin was of green color. But, his face cut was handsome. He looked down on Alcesto and others, as a god who looks down on mere humans. He smirked at them and slowly descended downwards. He didn't stepped on the same level as them and looked at Alcesto. He said with a sinister voice,

"My name is Vergif Otrov. Nice to meet you~"
