Chapter 9 - What Affects Everything Is From The Heart

Gabriel immediately opened the door to Aleya's room roughly. At that time, there was only Ivory at home and when s saw Gabriel's behavior, Ivory was moved to find out what Gabriel was looking for.

"Gab? What's going on? You can't go into the angel's room as you please," Ivory asked, rebuking him.

"Help me find the strands of Aleya's wing feathers that have fallen. I'll have to check for myself," Gabriel said.

"But what's the matter? Tell me first because I don't want you to mess it up so badly."

Gabriel stopped his movements and then looked at Ivory breathlessly. He inhaled and exhaled slowly. "Take a look back at what I did earlier. You'll find an answer."

Ivory immediately looked back with her bounty vision. She began to understand what Gabriel's heart was troubled about. That not only saw Aleya's wing feathers that fell but there was a little black color on the tip of the wing.

Gabriel nodded. "Right. That's what I'm worried about. I'll have to find out for myself, Ivory. Because she's also my responsibility to Father."

Ivory nodded her head. She also helped Gabriel before Aleya returned home. But the two of them were pretty sure that Aleya wouldn't come back until evening came.

When she finally searched everywhere, Ivory found it. She touched a few strands of wing feathers with her eyes wide in surprise. She saw a black color on the tip of the feather.

"She has to get her job done right away without getting emotional," said Ivory.

"How should we tell her? We just found out about this. But Father would have known first," Gabriel said.

Ivory and Gabriel were both silent. They tidied Aleya's room and returned the feather so as not to make Aleya suspicious.

"Let's just talk outside so we don't get caught by her," Ivory said.

Out of the room, they chose to sit on the front porch. Sitting on two chairs facing the street and were busy with each other's thoughts.

"Ivory was right, she had to finish it." Suddenly a voice appeared without its owner also appearing. They both looked around but only once because they already knew that it was Father who spoke.

"She's not an innocent angel anymore, but while she's still new, you can keep reminding her. But if her wings are pitch black, then there's no chance of her returning to Heaven, unless she turns to ashes with time."

Ivory and Gabriel looked at each other. They gulped at the same time and were so scared by what Father said.

The voice disappeared and no longer spoke, indicating that The Father had finished telling them what was important to Him.

"I think I'll have to get closer to Aleya to tell me the truth, Gab," Ivory said.

Gabriel nodded as he patted Ivory's shoulder. "Okay if that's your decision. God bless you, Ivory."

"But Aleya is one of the angels here who gets offended easily, Gab. If you can help too, I'll gladly accept."

"I'll help you. Maybe I'll try to give her some general advice but one that will make her think hard.

Today Aleya returned home before dark. She immediately cleaned herself and joined the gathering at the dining table for dinner together. She was not as gloomy as yesterday, she already looked quite able to adapt to the contents of the earth even though she was still relatively new.

Seeing Aleya who was still focused on the food on her plate, Ivory touched her hand. "After this, do you want to tell me about your daily life?" Ivory asked.

Aleya looked at Ivory with a question mark expression. She then looked at the other angel friends, but they were busy eating.

"They will have their turn, Aleya. I want you to tell me first because you are the closest to me," Ivory said as if she could read her mind.

"Okay."

Ivory smiled. She glanced at Gabriel for a moment with a nod of her head.

And after eating, Ivory immediately made a hot drink and supporting snacks so Aleya could feel more relaxed with her. She ordered her to the balcony above, to be precise in her room.

Aleya knocked on her room which was immediately opened with magic power from Ivory. And when she entered, the door closed and locked by itself.

Seeing Ivory's room with only dim lights and refreshing aromatherapy, made her mood quite calm. And this was the first time Aleya had entered Ivory's room.

"You have a beautiful room, Ivory," Aleya complimented.

"All have the same room, Aleya. You just need to arrange it according to your character what you want," Ivory replied.

Aleya understood after she digested Ivory's words. If at this time Aleya didn't arrange anything in her room except all things must be pure white, did that already indicate her character?

Hmm... Aleya became confused as her mind was filled with what kind of decorations she wanted for her room.

"So what do you want to know, Ivory?" asked Aleya, who was sitting her ass on the loveseat on the balcony.

"Your progress with your new friend. Leo. How's it going?" Ivory asked.

"It's still a few days, Ivory. I can't show my closeness to him yet. I mean, it's a bit difficult because I limit myself enough so that he can't touch me or treat me like a queen," explained Aleya.

Ivory's lips seemed to part slightly. She then understood what Aleya wanted. She wanted to look pure even though in fact, what affects everything was still her heart.

"Alright, I understand that. But you can't make him suspicious. Because if you act weird or you put weird conditions on him, he'll suspect you and even find out about you."

Aleya sighed. She grabbed the biscuit in front of her while pausing their conversation. Suddenly her heart pounded at the memory of Leo's handsome face. She felt what she thought and felt about Leo, made her so sinful that her wings looked black.

"He's even trying to find out about me right now, Ivory. And I often run away when I know he's following me. I'm afraid, Ivory."

"What scares you? You could act normal, right?" Ivory asked.
