Chapter 29

Just at that moment, Marcia fainted.

They were so close he could make out Dudley saying, “Party Pooper!” He turned to Dick and yelled, “Hey, Dickhead, take this party-pooping bitch back to shore will ya? She’s ruining things!”

Dick’s smile left his face. He maneuvered right up alongside the bigger boat and a couple of guys grabbed hold and held them in place. Dudley and three other guys physically picked up Marcia, who at eight months pregnant was definitely not a lightweight, and passed her over. Dick and Peter laid her on one of the bench seats.

Peter could not believe this. He stood there with his mouth hanging open as the other boat motored away. He could still hear Ned retching below decks, but he had to see to Marcia. Lewis had already walked over to her and was standing next to her, holding her hand.
