Harry Potter: Winchester Chronicles

This is an original fic, as I couldn't find a better novel to translate so I figured why not write one myself. The world still revolves around the Harry Potter series but with original and extra plot added to it to not make things boring. P.S. This is not related to the TV series Supernatural, apart from slight inspiration for a couple of things. --------------------- "Voldermort? Who? Can't you see me fighting a literal Demon?" "Why do I have to kill all these monsters to be a wizard? I don't know it's a family tradition" "What do you mean, 'Why is Harry so buff?' How else is he supposed to fight the noseless demon?" Luke woke up in a body belonging to the youngest member of the last Winchester Family, during a 'exorcism' at that. Discovering that he had transmigrated to the Harry Potter world, dreaming of a magical future, he still couldn't fathom why there were so many inconsistencies in the plot. Not to mention his new family and his father's mysterious and weird actions, but why are there so many monsters and villains hatching a new plot every single day in this children's fiction? ---------- https://www.patreon.com/The_disciple ---------- https://www.royalroad.com/profile/481960 I will be posting this story on RoyalRoad.com

QnA with dad pt 2

"I hear that most wizards and witches don't like to mingle with no-majs, but it's weird that we are surrounded by no-majs's technology-"

"I do mind them." Michael cut off Luke before he could finish his question, "I just don't mind things that work better."

"I see..."

"What was the exorcism?" Luke directly asked the question without further tiptoeing around, "I've read several books over my stay here, but why is there not a single mention of monsters such as that?"

"Those are demons," Michael shrugged as if it was a fact everyone should know about, "There are several kinds of them, each with their own strength and feat, some higher ranking than the others, and so on."

"There's a hierarchy among demons? Wait that's not the point, why is it not mentioned anywhere?" Luke shook away his compulsive desire of curiosity, "I mean, I have read lores about dark lords, some topics on black magic, and even articles on magical beasts but not a single one of them ever mentions them."

"Curious one, aren't you?" Michael stared at Luke who couldn't look more frustrated as he snapped his fingers, "If I was to stay here and recall all the information, I might just die of old age."

"Wha-"

Before he could finish talking, a book flew over through the door and landed right on Michael's hand.

The huge book which was about a meter wide and a foot tall, was something Luke recognized in an instant. The flashy red cover with golden edges alongside its ginormous size was the main display on the first-floor library.

The only problem with the book was that it couldn't be opened, no matter how hard Luke tried, the book wouldn't budge a bit as if someone had glued down all the pages one after the other, but the very same book was now in front of him gladly opening itself up without force.

"You need a spell to open the book." Michael said glancing at Luke and continued, "This is the history of our family, all your demon-related questions and why we do what we do will be answered here."

"Is there anything more?"

'If I need to read this big ass book just to get some answer what use are you to me?' Luke who was busy looking through the book shook his head, 'I need answers,'

"Not really..." Luke said, "Can I take this book and leave?"

"So that was all the curiosity you had mustered, I can't help but say that I am disappointed." Michael picked up his pipe and started cleaning it.

"I do have more questions but those questions might be too hard for anyone to answer, so I'll just figure them out by myself" Luke answered still looking through the book,

"Try me," Michael said,

"Aren't you too busy to take care of a kid and his questions? I should head back." Luke almost snorted at the hypocritical man, who only gave half ass answers but still liked to mock him for not questioning things further, 'Go be the mysterious wizard by yourself!'

"I don't like to repeat myself" Michael lit up his pipe, "Speak!"

Although he was a bit nervous about Micahel's presence, he still had enough pride in him not to cower in such situations. So he closed the heavy book and stared right into Michael's piercing gaze.

"Fine! How are wizards different from no-majs? Do we have an extra organ, an extra set of veins? If so, has it been proven and documented, if not why haven't we looked for it yet? And if it's just something we're born with, let's say magic in our genes, how are we so sure of it? There have been many mugg- I mean, many no-majs who went on to have magical abilities, are we sure they all had an ancestor who could do magic?"

"Then there's the question about magic itself, what is it? I don't mean magic after you cast a spell, but raw magic that's within us. Can you feel it? Can you see it under certain conditions like how you can feel the presence of air around us or through certain experiments? Or are we just supposed to believe it exists?"

"Then comes the part about wizards using magic. How are we able to do that in the first place? I have read some documents regarding magic fatigue where a wizard or witch uses too much of their magic and after a certain point can't use magic any further until they recover after a while. So does that mean magic is a thing, a substance that can drain out of your body and fill up after a certain time?

"Then that raises another question, if magic is like energy from food, then where do we get it from? The air? The food? And also, if magic can leave our body and fill up by itself, can one measure magic, like how much magic does one really have, or what spells use the most magic?"

"If you can measure magic, then is there a way to increase the amount of magic one can possess and is there a way to take away magic from people? If you can-"

"Stop!" Michael blew his smoke still maintaining his calm and strict demeanor, but if you looked a little closer, his twitching brows revealed what he was really thinking at the moment, "Those things are certainly not something a kid like you can think of on his own."

'Shit! Did I go too far?' Under Michael's gaze, Luke couldn't help but gulp for fear of being found out, his cockiness leaving his body under the certain pressure put on him in an instant 'What if he sees me as a soul possessing his son's body and tries to exorcise me out of it,'

"But I am proud of the fact, that you could think of all this on your own when even most adults tend to look over it." Michael looked away for a split second at the photo frame on his desk quickly moving over to him, "I do have answers to some of your questions which I will address to you over the years but as for the majority of your questions, I admit I don't have the answers to them,"

"Maybe there will be a day when you find the answers yourself..." Michael nodded with a slight smirk on his face, "You may leave now!"

'If you don't want to answer my questions at least say it straight to me, what the hell does addressing your questions over the year mean,' Luke jumped off the chair, trying to drag behind the huge book with all the effort he could muster, 'At least, it looks like no one is suspicious of me possessing this boy's body.'

After a couple of tugs, it felt like just moving the book would take him eons, when all of a sudden the book came at him straight away with just a minor pull making him stumble around. The book that weighed a ton just a second ago now felt light as a feather.

Luke glanced over at Michael but he had his head turned in else were, giving up on getting any further answers from him, Luke put his collection of diaries on top of the heavy book and had just turned around to leave when Michael's voice sounded again, "You're turning 10 soon, so I believe it's time to start your training."

"Training?"

"You need shoulders strong enough to carry all your ambitions, so I'll make sure to see things through myself." Michael again proceeded to completely ignore Luke flipping through his documents.

Luke unsure of what he meant just shrugged it off and walked out of his office.
