Chapter 7:Conflict

Just like usual, Penelope and Toby walked out of the Ravenclaw Dormitory while talking about different branches of magic and their applications when they suddenly heard a loud commotion occurring in the Dining hall. Running over, he saw Wilson confronting a Slytherin student. Upon closer observation, he realized that it was the Slytherin Prefect. He quickly spotted two red haired Gryffindors so he asked them," What's going on?"

Fred replied," The Slytherin Prefect bumped into a Hufflepuff girl and started scolding her for not watching where she was going."

George continued," When the Hufflepuff prefect tried to intervene, he started scolding Hufflepuff for being a house filled with impure blooded wizards so he basically insulted all the Hufflepuffs."

While this was going on, Alyssa stepped into the limelight and said," Prefect Warner, I believe that once a wizard holds a wand, he is equal to anyone else. It doesn't hurt less if you are cast with a jinx even if you are pureblooded."

This earnt a wave of appreciation for the brave Hufflepuff girl from most of the Muggle-born students and some of the Half-Blood students, but Penelope shook her head," Now, this girl is provoking Slytherin."

Enraged, Warner pulled out a wand. Upon seeing this, most of the Hufflepuffs and Slytherins also pulled out a wand and pointed at each other. At that moment, Cassandra shouted," Alyssa, are you purposefully picking a fight with Slytherin."

Alyssa didn't answer Cassandra's question directly, but instead, she pretended to be surprised and said, "Cassandra, what did you say, how did it become a fight between Hufflepuff and Slytherin? Perfect Warner just said that Gryffindor were reckless idiots, and all Ravenclaw students were fools who could only stay holed up in their dorms.!"

As soon as Alyssa finished speaking, everyone fell silent for a moment. The Gryffindor and Ravenclaw students were happily watching until the argument suddenly involved them.

"You are talking nonsense! I didn't!"

Warner hurriedly denied it. After all, he had already offended a Hufflepuff today. If Gryffindor and Ravenclaw were added, he might not be able to get out of here. Some of the students who were watching the argument from the start knew that she was just talking nonsense, but the newer arrivals would rather believe an innocent little girl compared to a Slytherin fifth year.

The Weasley twins were already looking for a way to join the fight. Without wasting any time, they led a couple of students to start an attack. Alyssa let the Hufflepuff students withdraw from the fight and they watched with satisfaction and the Gryffindor and Slytherin students fought each other.

Driven by anger, Warner saw Alyssa happily watching from the sidelines, so he rushed out of the scuffle and charged wand first towards Alyssa. By the time that Alyssa had already reacted, Warner had already reached in front of her.

At that moment, Warner flipped backwards with one leg being pulled upwards. Everyone looked towards the young Ravenclaw student who cast the Levicorpus curse. Toby put away his arm and shrugged," I thought I saw the Prefect Warner trip and almost fell on Alyssa, so I decided to help him."

The onlooking students looked at Warner who was screaming profanities with pity. If this was called helping, they would rather not be helped by this student.

At this moment, many professors like Snape and McGonagall finally got the news and rushed over. Even Principle Dumbledore was alarmed. After all, serious incidents like this don't occur too often in Hogwarts.Snape brought Warner back onto his feet with a grim look on his face. Before he could start accusing someone, Dumbeldore spoke up and dismissed everyone after deducting 50 points each from everyone except Ravenclaw. This brought Gryffindor to a whooping negative ten points whereas Hufflepuff and Slytherin were floating with 5-10 points as a balance.

After everyone left, Dumbeldore sighed.Finally, Professor McGonagall, who had been waiting beside him, couldn't hold his breath, and couldn't help but ask, "Dumbledore? What's wrong? What's the matter? Is it about the point deductions?"

Dumbledore slowly shook his head and said, "What I care about is not this at all."

Hearing Dumbledore's words, Professor McGonagall, who has worked together for many years, quickly understood what Dumbledore meant, and asked tentatively, "Is this about Alyssa?"

Dumbledore nodded slowly, and when Professor McGonagall saw this,she also agreed, "Yes, she is a very eloquent woman. I didn't even expect that the Hufflepuffs who usually minded their own business would start picking fights . I can only say that she is worthy of being a Grindelwald."

Dumbledore nodded slowly and said,"You're right, but that's to be expected, isn't it? What I really care about is the difference between Alyssa and Gellert! Just after finishing the morning classes, Prefect Warner was taken away by Professor Snape. As soon as they entered the Potions Classroom, Warner trembled," Professor Snape, I…"

"Shut up, I'll see for myself! Legimmas!"

As Snape continued to watch Warner's memories, his face became more and more ugly. When Warner woke up, he saw Snape's frosty face, staring at him with disgust.Seeing this, Warner felt nervous, knowing that Snape was dissatisfied with him!

Sure enough, Snape said with disgust, "What kind of Slytherin rushes into confrontation so directly! On top of that, you were humiliated by a Hufflepuff! An eleven year old girl nonetheless. Well, are you really a Slytherin? I think the sorting hat confused your troll brain as smart and cunning? Even Gryffindors are smarter than you! "

Hearing Snape's words, Warner felt ashamed and wanted to dig his head into the ground. He tried to redeem himself, "Dean, don't worry, I will definitely help Slytherin get back its Honor! I won't let that first year go!"

After speaking, Warner was about to go out and challenge Alyssa, but Snape was not happy at all. Seeing that Warner was going to trouble Alyssa, Snape immediately stopped him. Last night, Snape learned the true identity of Alyssa from Dumbledore. If Warning really hit Alyssa, he probably would not be alive tomorrow.

Although he stopped Warner, Snape was still brooding about what happened this morning. After all, Snape was also a person who attached great importance to Slytherin's honor. Since he couldn't make a bad move on Alyssa, then, he could only use an open and honest method!
